Guilt

"Remain quiet, or I will tell everyone," Inaya sat shivering before a man who earned her.

"What do you want?"Inaya asks back.

"You should have listened to me while I was being nice to you, giving you treatment," the man said. "Why did you run away?" Inaya looked into his eyes. The same eyes that once tried to hypnotise her. "I was really nice to you. I didn't charge anything. But why did you run away? You know how devastated I was?" Inaya sat holding on to her bag tightly under the table. "Tell me," he changed his tone. The man looked different from what Inaya used to imagine him to be. He no longer had a clean shaven face. It looked like he had not trimmed for the past few days. His salt and pepper hair looked dry, messy, and unwashed. He no longer looked energetic. Wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, he looked nothing like a doctor, Dr Harold Bow.

"What is a psychiatrist doing all the way up here from the south? Inaya finally asked.

"Lost my job," he told her. "Came here in search of something new," he said finally. "First ypu left. Then, because of that, a miss diagnosis from my side, and boom, I got fired," he smirked, shaking his head. "It's all because of you," he said. He then looked at her angrily. "You. Because of you," he shouted. Everyone in the cafe turned towards them. Inaya took the glass of water placed before her and threw them at the face of Harold Bow. And she ran immediately towards the counter, standing with the staff. She took out her phone and dialled Johan immediately.

"Help me, now," she said. "Loco cafe," she gave him the address.

"Come here," Harold walked towards her.

"No. Go away," she told him.

"You better come with me," he kept warning her, trying to reach out.

"Miss, is he your boyfriend?" The guy who was waiting tables asked her.

"He has mistaken me for someone else. He dragged me into this place, forcing me to sit with him," Inaya said.

"How dare you?" Harold began to get even more angrier than before.

Inaya waited, looking often at the door, for Johan. Every second felt like a whole year.

Inaya felt something strange in her hand, going up towards her shoulders, something like a shock passing through her fingers. She clenched her fists. "Hit him," some voice told her, a hoarse voice, a female voice. Inaya closed her eyes and shut her ears. Inaya's heart pounded too fast and loud.

She heard a few footsteps. "Let go, let go," She heard Harold scream then. "I did not work hard for this. I deserve better," he kept saying it.

"Inaya hey," Johan reached for her. "Inaya," he slowly called her. Inaya lifted her head. She opened her eyes and put the hands down. "We took him. Don't worry. We have arrested him," Johan consoled Inaya. "Come with me," he called her out. The staff looked at her. She slowly walked. Johan walked out of the cafe, and Inaya followed him.

"Come," he assured Harold was taken away. Inaya stepped out and quickly ran to him. Other police men had left with Harold.

"What happened?" Johan asked. The stories Inaya wanted to forget, it kept coming back to her. 'I'm sure Harold is going to tell everyone about her story,' Inaya thought, and she felt so irritated. She looked at Johan. She could not find the strength to still tell him.

"I don't know," she chose to lie, rather than opening up to him. 'I know this is a wrong choice, but I can not just say it. I'm not ready to share anything with anyone yet,' she told herself.

"I was walking down the street, I was planning to.." she stopped immediately. 'Telling him I still have not applied for any ID proofs will only put me in more trouble. He will think I'm lazy and not right,' she thought.

"Planning to?" Johan waited.

"Planning to eat a proper dinner," and then I felt someone following me, I tried around, but he dragged me into the cafe. Then he started talking all the things, so I tried to run away throwing water on his face," she said. It waw indeed the truth, but not entirely true.

"Don't worry, I will take care of it," Johan promised her. "What did you want forefinger?" Johan asked her.

'Oh my! I'm I turning into a fraud. I'm so had,' she talked to herself inside her head. 'I will tell you everything one day, Johan, but definitely not now,' Inaya thought and took a deep breath. "I wanted to try fried chicken, " she said. "I heard my colleagues talking about it, I want it too," she said.

"Fried chicken it is. It's unhealthy, but it's fine for today," Johan said and walked forward. Inaya followed him with an uneasy smile.
