24 That's Pretty Sad

Bryce continued stewing in his questions as he rubbed the top of Tessa's arm. He had wanted to stroke her hair but the hat was in the way and he was afraid of taking it off in case she got mad about messing up her hair. One of his ex-girlfriends was very particular about having her hair touched.

Why did she fall asleep with the hat on though? Both times she took a nap on him today she had been wearing the hat. Wasn't it uncomfortable?

He would never understand fashion but he couldn't deny that it was very cute on her. She looked cute in everything. Even the bright orange Juice Jubilee shirt that didn't match anyone's skin tone wasn't so bad when she was the one wearing it.

When had Tessa completely taken over his life? If he had to pick a particular moment, it was probably after buying his eighth or ninth smoothie that he forced himself to choke down simply to see her and realized he had no intention of stopping that terrible money-wasting habit.
