Chapter 62: A Warning from the FBI

Facing Clark's questioning, Agent Ross remained silent. It wasn't that he didn't want to speak, but rather he was unable to utter a word.

The fact that he could endure without screaming was already a remarkable display of willpower.

Clark's grip was precisely controlled to inflict maximum pain without causing actual injury: "Now that he's fallen ill, you actually sent someone to surveil him. Is this how you treat a hero?"

After finishing his statement, Clark finally released the other's hand, waiting for an explanation.

Rubbing his still-aching right hand, Agent Ross said with a bitter face, "I won't deny Dr. Hank Pym's contributions to the country. My visit isn't on a personal behalf."

"Mr. Lee, I understand your feelings, but could you please calm down and sit down for a talk?"

Hearing this, Clark unceremoniously pulled over a chair and sat down: "I'm sitting down now, you can speak."

Seeing Clark's uncooperative stance, Ross couldn't help feeling a headache.

However, duty-bound, he had to continue, "I don't want to discuss whether the Ant-Man suit really exists. I just want to say, when Dr. Pym is conscious, he indeed is the most suitable guardian of the Ant-Man suit, but now that Dr. Pym has fallen ill..."

Saying this, Agent Ross pointed to a black-and-white projection on the wall showing captured images of Ant-Man, speaking solemnly, "Such power, if it falls into the wrong hands, would surely be a disaster for all humanity."

"You are not Dr. Pym, and I don't believe you can protect the Ant-Man suit well. Therefore, I hope you can hand it over to the government."

Clark's response was still the same: "I don't know what you're talking about."

Agent Ross, with an 'as expected' expression, took out a prepared invitation, saying, "The existence of the Ant-Man suit has drawn Congress's attention, to the point of organizing a hearing to discuss this matter. This invitation is for Dr. Pym, he can attend by himself, or you two can represent him."

Seeing the invitation to the hearing made Clark frown.

With this development, the matter had escalated to a national level, making it difficult to joke and get through the situation.

Agent Ross smiled slightly, slightly proud, "I hope you take this hearing seriously. As for the existence of the Ant-Man suit, you can discuss it with the congressmen at that time. Finally, a piece of friendly advice, it's best not to think about playing tricks on this matter."

"Advice?" Clark snorted disdainfully, "It sounds more like a threat to me."

"Not at all a threat," Agent Ross said with a smile. "But if you insist on understanding it that way, consider it a warning then."

"A warning from the FBI?" Clark said sarcastically.

By then, Agent Ross had already stood up and headed towards the door, his task completed and unwilling to waste more words with Clark.

Clark watched him leave nonchalantly, feeling there should be BGM for such a departure.

Thus, as Ross was leaving, Clark casually snapped his fingers.

"Snap!"

With the snap of his fingers, the background music, fittingly the "FBI WARNING" tune, suddenly played, causing Ross to shudder violently near the door, almost crashing into the doorframe. He instinctively looked back at the projection on the wall to make sure no inappropriate images had appeared before hurriedly exiting in a fluster.

Agent Ross's embarrassed departure was amusing, but Hope and Clark couldn't laugh.

Looking at the invitation on the table, Hope's face was filled with worry. She was about to speak when Clark raised his hand to stop her.

Glancing around, Clark calmly said, "Uncle Pym is probably very safe under FBI protection. You don't need to stay here anymore. Let's go home and prepare for the hearing. I need your help."

Hope, stopped by Clark from asking further, realized there might be FBI bugs in the room, so she nodded in agreement to Clark's proposal.

The trio returned home without speaking. Once there, Clark sent Mindy to continue familiarizing herself with her laser cutter, then pulled Hope into his room, locking the door to discuss the hearing.

Sitting nervously on Clark's bed, Hope asked eagerly, "Father still hasn't woken up, and it's unlikely he will soon. How are we going to handle the hearing in three days?"

Seeing Hope's distressed look, Clark said, "Actually, I've already found a way to awaken Uncle Pym."

"Really?" Hope lit up immediately.

Clark nodded seriously. He wouldn't lie about such a matter. In fact, since breaking through human limits, not only had Clark's body transformed, but his mind had become much sharper, simplifying many problems that had long troubled him.

Then, based on the data on Pym particles, after repeated deliberation, Clark had found a treatment for old Pym.

"Actually, I thought of the method three days ago, but I needed further confirmation. After three days of calculations, I can confirm the plan is theoretically feasible."

Hope was overjoyed, "Then let's wake father up quickly. With him present, there's no need to worry about the hearing!"

Clark, however, smiled bitterly, "It's not that simple. To awaken Uncle Pym, I need to specially make a device, which can't be done in just a couple of days. So, we still need to handle the hearing ourselves."

"Besides, we must also resolve the Hand's issue in advance. I don't want them to surprise us at a critical moment."

Hope eagerly asked, "How do you plan to handle the hearing?"

Clark had thoroughly thought through the hearing issue on the way back.

Faced with Hope's question, he confidently said, "Since they want the Ant-Man suit, let's give it to them."

Hope was about to object, but seeing Clark's unchanged smile, she curiously asked, "What exactly are you planning?"

Clark whispered his plan into Hope's ear...
