1 Chapter 1: The Abandoned Child

Cries of babies tore through the room as Hiashi entered the room with his usual stoic expression.

As he entered, he saw two babies being cradled by the nurse. He was surprised when he got the news that twins were born but managed to reel in the excitement. As he took the girl into his arms, his expression softened.

"Hinata.." came a soft voice beside him. It was his wife's voice. She was telling the name they decided in case a girl was born, and he agreed and called out her child mimicking the soft voice.

After indulging his daughter, he returned the girl to Hanami as he picked up his son. But he can see some hesitation from the nurse's side. Hanami also picked up on the hesitation and her heart started beating rapidly.

"Did something go wrong or did something happen to him?" asked Hanami with concern evident in her voice.

Hiashi was also concerned about his son. In a hurry, he activated his byakugan to check on his son.

And his heart almost stopped when he saw the result.

His son was born blind. How can that happen? If it were a normal family then it was no problem, but as a Hyuga, being blind would be the biggest disgrace.

His face turned ugly. Hanami still has that puzzled look on her face.

Hiashi immediately told her about his son's condition.

"No, we can't keep him here in the clan. He is a disgrace to the Hyuga family."

Hanami's face looked horrified. No, she doesn't want to part with her son. It doesn't matter to her whether he is blind or not. For her, he is a part of her heart and she just wants to be with her.

She opposes her husband but he doesn't budge. Her cries echoed in the room but they fell on deaf ears. Seeing her situation, Hiashi decided to placate her, "Look, if he lives in the Hyuga clan he will only suffer for being blind but if we place him in an orphanage, he can live a normal life."

Hanami seemed to get her emotions under control seeing this but she still decided to live with her son. She will move away from the clan grounds and live in some secluded corner with her son, calling it a mother's protectiveness or being selfish for her child but she will not part with him.

In the end Hiashi gave in. But as soon as Hanami fell asleep from all the stress, Hiashi called out to one of his personal guards, an elite Jonin extremely loyal to Hiashi.

"Go call our Yamanaka friend, I will ask him to place memory lock seals on her mind regarding my disgrace of a son. And while you are at it, leave him at some orphanage, wait...is he already marked with the main family's mark?" Hiashi asked the nurse.

All branch family members are marked with a seal on their foreheads and all main family members are also marked just after their birth, but this is just a simple mark which indicates their status as a main family member and can only be removed when a cursed seal is put on the person.

"Y-yes patriarch, forgive this lowly nurse for the insolence." the nurse immediately went on her knees and placed her head on the ground to ask forgiveness.

"u-ugh! listen you have to leave him outside the village now, I don't care what happens to him. And ask our Yamanaka guest to place a memory lock seal on both my wife and this nurse. Nobody should know of his existence. Now take him and leave." saying this, Hiashi went out of the room in a very bad mood but didn't move outside the house, keeping the farce that the child was still not born.

But what everyone ignored were the frown and traces of intelligence on both the babies. Hinata looked dangerously at the back of her father which didn't amount to anything on her baby face.

Even the blind baby seemed to be shocked by what he heard.

Max's POV:

'Holy Crap!!!

F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck.

What the hell am I supposed to do?

I just got another chance at life and now I am being abandoned.

And I am just born blind?

And what is this Yamanaka, Hinata, Main family, branch family, It all feels too familiar.

Oh yes, Naruto!

So from all this, I am the twin brother of Hinata and I was born blind and abandoned.

The hell!!!!

Let's just calmly think, that I have already suffered worse. I know I have regrets from my last life, maybe that is why I reincarnated, but there was no ROB or any interface.

Am I that unlucky or are there any conditions for the system to activate?

I thought that just like how the usual plot goes, as a blind man I will get some template or props related to famous blind characters.

But based on my luck in my previous world, I don't think so.

Huh!! It's not that I wasn't already prepared to meet my end. I willingly ended my life ....what...a couple hours ago, if my time sense is correct, dying again will not be anything new.'

Suddenly a hand pulled me and I got the feeling I was moving, at a very high speed, I guess my body can still feel.

'At least my mother fought for me in this life, but what baffles me is this strange feeling, as if I am losing something very important if I die like this.

There are other conflicting feelings also. I don't know but I want others to know about me after I am gone.

At least in my previous life, there were people who would remember me or at least miss me after I killed myself, but here, no one will miss me.

I should feel contented that my mother fought for me, even if for a short period, I felt immense love from her embrace. If she forgets about me, it will be for her own good and I should feel happy.

Then why am I feeling so empty and dissatisfied?'

After around an hour of movement, the body carrying me came to a halt. It placed me on what seemed to be some grassy ground. And if birds chirping is to be taken into account, a lot of trees are around me. They were about to throw me outside the village, so I guess this was it.

A blind baby left to his own devices in a jungle.

I wonder if I will be adopted by some talking animals.

Hyuga main house, next morning

"You are welcome elders, the process was a bit too strenuous for both the child and mother, so I postponed this meeting. I hope you don't mind." Hiashi politely said the elders and his brother gathered in front of him.

"No problem Hiashi, these things happen, I hope both child and mother are healthy." replied one of the elders.

"Of course, why don't you come and see."

As they went inside the room, they saw Hanami coddling a baby girl.

A female elder stepped forward and sat on the same bed as Hanami and asked her about the birth.

"It all went well, as you can see, Hinata and I are both healthy. It was just a bit too tiresome." Hanami replied with a smile to the elder. This elder was one of the few kind elders.

'But I don't know why I feel so empty even after such a happy occasion. It's as if someone has stolen my most precious treasure' Hanami thought inwardly as she looked at Hinata, she felt content and happy but this feeling of emptiness still plagued her heart as if something was wrong with this whole situation.
