You chose: Tell dad about his twin at the shed.

----

"Let's tell dad." I finally decide. If it's something we don't usually understand, we always go to dad to help us out. Hopefully, this si something he'll take seriously.

Katrina and I head to the kitchen, where we hear Uncle John and dad talking amongst themselves. We poke our heads through the opening to the kitchen, watching as they laugh to a joke Uncle John must've cracked up.

"Oh! Girls." Dad announces. "Dinner is about done."

Uncle John turns to us. "Doesn't it smell good? I should go get some chips to have with it." He then leaves us with dad.

"Hey, dad?" Katrina beats me to it.

"Yes, sweetie?" He smiles, flipping the burger in the skillet.

Katrina looks at me to continue. "We need to talk to you."

Dad looks at us, eyebrows raised. "Did one of you break something again? I swear, you guys are so clumsy... Just like your mother." He chuckles lightly.

"No. It's super serious." Katrina adds on.

He puts the spatula down after taking the last burger off of the skillet, taking off his apron. Then he sits at one of the dining table chairs. Now he was serious. "Okay. What's going on?"

Katrina and I look at each other in relief. We didn't think dad would take us seriously for once. We sit in our own chairs, ready to explain. I start the story. "Well, Kat and I were in the attic..."

"So I've heard." He interrupts, looking over to Katrina. "And I said to stay out of there, alright?"

We both nod. "We will. We went to look for you to ask about the prop books." Dad was quiet, so I continued. "We agreed that she goes to the kitchen to look for you, and I go outside to the shed. But.... I saw you at the shed...." I say nervously. It sounded crazier than a chicken with two heads.

Dad chuckles, shaking his head. "Honey, I think you saw Uncle John. You know people say we kind of look alike." He says.

"What? No! You guys look totally different!" Katrina argues.

"How would you have seen me if I was in the kitchen? Katrina saw me, too." He looked annoyed, now. His eyes furrowed together. It's what he does when somethings is getting on his nerves.

"That's what I'm trying to say, dad! There must be someone out at the shed!"

"That looks like me?"

"Yes!"

"Sounds like me?"

"Yes."

"Does he do the chicken dance as good as me?"

I was going to respond but quickly slumped my shoulders. "Dad, come on!"

He chuckles again. "Look, girls, I know we just bought this house. And you're creeped out by it. But I assure you, we are safe." He stands up, opening the fridge door to look inside. "You might've just been dreaming or something. Hasn't been the first time. And stay out of that attic."

Katrina and I groan out just as Uncle John comes in with arms full of chips. "Sounds like everyone is getting hungry. Let's eat!"

Dad seems to have dismissed your scary problem. What will you do now?
