V1 Chapter 1: The Trip

 Aaron was driving, since he's the oldest and got his license recently. As they drive through the city up to upstate New York, Kenneth and Brock have fun in the car talking about comics and video games.

Cori tries to liven up Brittany, who either is bored and just scrolling through social media, or recording the scenery outside the car for her channel.

Aaron, worrying about if he's going to get enough protein over the weekend, and workouts in during the camping trip. 

Few Hours Later..

They finally get to their destination at the parking lot of the campgrounds. Brock, overcompensated for this trip. His bag being bigger than him, he brought more than enough supplies, that could probably last until next month.

Aaron, volunteered to carry Brock's bag to the camp, Brock nods his head delightfully.

Kenneth, looking at Brittany, she caught him looking, then looked right back at him angrily. Kenneth immediately turned away in embarrassment.

As they walk through the path to the forest, Cori feels an eerie presence watching her. In her peripheral vision, she sees a human-like figure in the forest to her left. She turns quickly, and for a split second, she sees a woman dressed in black, then "it" vanishes. Cori told everyone about it, but they didn't believe her since she has serious ADHD and always jokes around. She later brushes it off, but just in case, she convinced everyone that they should go off path to be a bit more adventurous. 

In reality, she just wanted to get whoever or whatever that thing was off their trail. 

Kenneth noticed that Brock and Brittany talking and laughing with each other. It made him a bit jealous and irritated, he tried to ignore it, but couldn't help but be upset.

Everyone enjoyed the walk for the most part, walking across the streams, climbing mountains, and trying to find a place to settle down. 

As they walked through the forest, the trees started to get in a weirder and weirder pattern. The maps didn't work in this forest. All the landmarks weren't where they were supposed to be according to the map. 

The environment slowly changed, the trees looked like they were growing spores out of the trunks, the ground has mushrooms in weird colors growing off the ground, orange, blue, red, purple, and the rocks have irregular formations and shapes. 

They pass by a cave which looked like it was dug out by something, or someone big that kept everyone on edge. There's nothing too irregular yet that has happened, so they kept pushing forward.

After walking for a bit, they found a nice campsite by a big river with a beautiful view. They all talked about what they saw in the forest and wondered what was going on. 

It was getting late, so Aaron and Brock went to go collect firewood, while the rest set up camp. 

Cori was walking to a small little waterfall, which had a perfect view, beautiful blue water, and smelt refreshing, just like nature. 

Brittany, unsurprisingly is taking pictures of plants and rivers to upload to her social media.

Kenneth, went to investigate some irregular shaped rock structures. 

Aaron, who was chopping down a tree with an axe Brock brought along with them,

while Brock was collecting sticks off the ground. Brock heard stomping from a distance. He looks around, It's getting closer. Faster than he can process, he looks for something he can use for defense. It kept getting closer and closer, he turned around to see a…
