7 RED Class

Verona waited with Reina in the waiting room. They sat around until the entrance exams finished. Out of the previous 400, only 150 passed. 115 out of the 150 were nobles, the rest were commoners.

"This concludes the Reian Academy entrance of this exams, return to the gates tomorrow morning to learn your classes. Those rings on your fingers will help you return to the courtyard." The middle-aged man said.

Verona and Reina once again disappeared in a flash of light, along with the rest of the group. As they were walking back Verona felt hungry.

"We're going hunting." Verona said and a magic circle formed under their feet.

Their disguise changed again, they walked towards the slums and began their feast. That night in the slums, 70 people died. Their bodies never to be found again. Verona and Reina finished their feast, covered in blood and internal organs. Verona bathed herself and Reina in crimson flames and they went on their way.

Demons don't need sleep. Verona and Reina chose to practice and create new spells. The sun shined through the window, signifying morning. Verona and Reina dressed in matching outfits and left. They arrived at the Academy 5 minutes later and waited in line while holding their red coins. Verona looked around and noticed nobody else had red coins, it was either blue, green, orange, or purple.

"Next." The man at the desk said. They walked forward and flashed their coins and the man visibly paled.

"P-Please, follow me." The man said walking behind the main building. They walked for a while until they arrived at a large Victorian mansion. The man knocked on the door and a beautiful brown-haired maid opened it.

"How may I help you?" The maid said not caring about the man but, looking at Verona and Reina.

"Uhm, I'm here to bring them to their class. They have red coins." As soon as the man said 'red coins' the maid turned serious.

"You stay out, you two come in." She said dismissing the man and allowed Verona and Reina inside. Reina looked around the foyer of the mansion like a child.

"Please follow me." The maid said with a smile.

Verona pulled on the exploring Reina and they followed the maid upstairs to a study. As they neared the door they heard reluctant screams, the maid either didn't care or was used to it, probably a mix of both. A few minutes later, a crying maid bursted through the door with her clothes in rags.

"Come in." A baritone voice said from inside the study. They walked in and a handsome blonde-haired man with an open robe sat on a chair. The man's blonde hair complimented his ocean blue eyes.

"You two must be my new and only students." The man said as he looked up at Verona and Reina.

Verona didn't even have to probe him to know he was at minimum a rank 6 Master Magus.

"Only students? Are we the only people to get the red coin?" Verona asked.

"Allow me to explain the value of these coins first.

Lowest to highest they go, blue, orange, green, purple, and finally red. There are only 5 people who have received red coins, one of them being the new crown prince." Their instructor said.

"Enough of this red coin talk, allow me to introduce myself. I am Tyri Hiltshire, the son of Grandmaster Magus Jyri Hiltshire." Tyri said doing a light bow.

"I am Verona Lockheart and this is my sister Reina Lockheart." Verona said also slightly bowing. Reina copied her Mistress to the best of her ability.

"Now I shall explain what I will be teaching you and the goal you have to achieve to graduate." Tyri said and pointed at a chair signaling them to sit.

"What I will be teaching you is magic theory, magic circulation, mana formation, magic circle formation, and martial techniques. You will graduate in 2 years, as red coin students the requirements are a lot higher. First, you need to be in the top 5 rankings, Secondly, you need to complete 100 C rank tasks or 10 A rank tasks. Those are the only requirements to graduate." Tyri said in one breath.

"What about resources?" Verona asked.

"This Academy only has one rule. No killing." Tyri said adding nothing more to his statement.

Verona 'read' between the lines and grinned maliciously.

"When do we start?" Verona asked as she thought about robbing resources.

"We start today, follow me." Tyri said as he got up and walked out.

They walked through the backdoor and a medium-sized arena stood In the back.

"Obviously I can't have weak students, so today's lesson is me testing your strength." Tyri said standing in the middle of the arena.

"Begin!"

Reina summoned a large magic circle underneath her and tested a new spell.

"Explosive Burst!" She was covered in red lightning and it made her hair shoot up, she dashed forward creating a sonic boom and cracking the ground. She appeared in front of Tyri and kicked outward. He caught her kick and threw her into a tree. She recovered and dashed towards him again with her sword drawn, she slashed fast enough to create afterimages. Tyri dodged them all, Reina backed away and created another magic circle.

"Explode!" A bolt of red lightning flew from her magic circle, Tyri put up a mana shield and blocked it creating a large cloud of dust. Reina bursted from the dust cloud swinging her sword, she almost hit Tyri but was kicked into a tree. The lightning that surrounded her body went away and she groaned in pain.

"Hehehe." Reina laughed and Tyri turned around to a giant sword of crimson flames swinging down upon him. He put up his mana shield and a large explosion rang out from behind the mansion, it was even heard in the main building.

Tyri blew away the dust cloud with wind magic, he tilted his head left dodging a rapier's stab. Verona jumped back and created multiple magic circles on her rapier.

"Demonic Departure!" She swung her blade and a large wave of crimson flames flew out, Tyri waved his hand and they vanished. He tilted his head again dodging a longsword from behind. Verona and Reina attacked simultaneously, they worked in coordination but it was no match for Tyri. He blew them back with a gust of wind magic.

Verona sheathed her blade and took out her wand, Reina did the same with her staff. Verona created a Tri-layer magic circle and Reina pointed her staff up, creating a gigantic magic circle in the air.

"Demoness Art: EXPLOSION!!" They said together and the large magic circle in the air summoned a large lightning bolt that combined with Verona's Infernaris. The lightning turned the crimson flames into a lance of red plasma.

Tyri got serious and put up a triple-layer mana shield, the lance of red plasma hit the mana shield and created a gigantic explosion. The blastwave was seen from the city and the shockwave was felt by the students.

All that was left of the arena was nothing. Verona and Reina passed out from mana exhaustion and Tyri stood in the middle of a crater shocked.

"This year will be fun."
