Lucian

With no desire to watch Lucy begin her ministrations with Aniyoh, Lucian decided he may as well bring Silas' letter to Caroline and Ender. Judging by their astonished expressions and Caroline's rapid-fire questions, showing them the message might not have been the wisest course.

"Silas sent you a message? What do you mean Talmot was murdered? By whom? And is Silas not a traitor then? How long have you known this, Lucian?" Caroline's high voice rattled off the questions like an auctioneer. She had sprung from Ender's lap and was now pacing the room furiously, rereading the note as she walked.

Lucian sighed and rested both of his elbows on the arms of the overstuffed chair. Raising his folded hands to his chin, Lucian gave Ender a pointed look as Caroline continued to ramble. His brother only shrugged before turning back to watch her with a bemused smile.
