First Meeting

The next moment Jon finds himself in a dark street; he sees the surrounding filled with a disgusting stench of undisposed garbages.

There were broken beer bottles that filled the air with a horrible smell of cheap alcohol on the ground next to black bags that seemed to wrap some trash inside them.

At the same time, Jon could hear something moving inside and beneath those trash bags in the dark street.

The glow of the moonlight was blocked by the covering of the black clouds above him, and this almost seems like a scene straight out of a horror movie.

As he was beginning to question where Death had sent him, he heard a sound coming from in front of those alleys.

Moving close to where that sound was coming from, he could hear a female voice; there seemed to be almost a pleading tone asking for help, a sense of fear in that soft voice.

"Please let me go," the woman pleaded.

He couldn't make out her appearance in that pitch-black darkness except that he saw a thin figure in her shadow.

Two men were standing right in front of her; the first man wearing a brown tank top standing directly in front of her had dark tattoos on his large arms.

They both towered over her height, carrying a creepy smile as they forced her back to the wall.

"What is a gal like you doing in the middle of the night," the guy's buddy asked with desire in his eyes, "we could keep you company if you are lonely."

She turns her face away from the man in front of her as the alcohol breathes from his mouth nearby.

Meanwhile, she clutches something that looks like a prolonged case in her arms while backing as close as possible to the wall.

The large man in a brown tank top started putting his callused right hand on her shoulder while stretching out his other hand to touch the skin on her face.

Finally arriving at the scene, Jon clutched the wrist of the hand touching the girl's face, and his arrival caught the two men by surprise.

They didn't even see when Jon stood right next to him, it was almost like he came out of nowhere.

"You need to leave," Jon told them off with sternness on his face.

The big guy only grinned seeing Jon's thin body frame, thinking there probably was much to this new guy that popped into the scene.

"And what if I don't?" The dude played back.

He tries to take his arm away from Jon's clutch but finds it almost tightened by some locks, unable to free his wrist from his grasp.

His friend tried to take Jon by surprise, but before he could even land a surprise attack on Jon, a kick came aiming straight into his stomach.

It was like Jon's body was reacting instinctively in this situation without him even needing to think at all.

The guy landed with a loud knock on the alley street's hard concrete floor and felt the wind knocked out of him.

That kick was aimed at the man's weak spot, and it landed on him accurately despite the surrounding, making it hard for any of them to see each other's figures.

The man in the tank top was surprised to see his friend thrust so hard by a single kick but soon finds a punch landing straight on his face making his nose bleed.

They were both on the ground feeling the pain and adrenaline.

In that instant, Jon released his killing intent onto those two men, locking onto their bodies as though being stared at by a lion on its prey.

This made their heartbeat fear upon seeing those eyes staring at them.

It reminded them of the scariest memories when they were closest to death as the killing intent zones into them, making them lose their will to continue fighting.

Without even waiting for his friend, the man wearing a tank top stood back up from the ground and started running like a scared rabbit away from Jon while his friend chased after him to escape right behind him.

Jon watched and waited as he saw that both had fled far from the scene before breathing a sigh of relief.

He was surprised at what he had done tonight, and it was like at the moment, he just did all of that so naturally.

In that fight, he had forgotten that this was the first ever in his life that he had engaged in a street fight with some thugs.

It seemed like his body knew what it was doing, as he had engaged in over a hundred fights of life and death.

"Who are you?" A female voice asked behind him, still holding a sense of cautiousness.

Looking behind him, Jon saw a female with long brown hair and large eyes like emeralds looking at him in observance.

He felt a sense of closeness to her, an indescribable comfort seeing that she is fine and safe now.

Their eyes lock together.

There came an instant of silence as Jon lost his focus while looking into those eyes.

Just as he was about to introduce himself in this strange situation that he is in now, Jon sees her eyes closed together as she softly falls into his arms.

He suddenly doesn't know what is happening anymore, seeing a stranger he just saved falling into his arm.

Upon closer inspection, he noticed that she was sleeping while resting on his chest.

Reaching his hand on her forehead, he finds that she has a fever that makes her forehead warm to the touch.

Seeing that she is just asleep and is not a crazy woman, he smiles as he takes off his coat and puts it over his body.

He noticed that she held onto the black case in her right arm pretty tightly even though she had fallen asleep.

With care, he lifts a strand of hair on her forehead behind her ear and gently puts her behind his back to not wake her up.

He also grabbed the light case that she was holding before using his hand.

That night, the clouds finally parted away and in the dark alley is a man carrying a girl deeply asleep on his back away towards the light-filled street of the city.
