Winter Leaf

The Winter Leaf is a three-day event in which any unclaimed Omega is to take place in, whether they like it or not. Tradition states that each Alpha without an Omega must also take part in. For the first day each Alpha and Omega are to meet. No fighting is to commence at this time; it is simply a meet-and-greet. Alphas usually tend to pick out Omegas that they like during this first day. The second day is the day of claiming. It is known as the "Fight or Flight" day where Alphas will battle to be the first to claim their chosen Omega. The third and final day of the Winter Leaf is the day where the claimed Omegas will say goodbye to their friends and family as they are moving to live with their Alpha. George happens to be one of the very rare male Omegas. No one has heard nor seen a male Omega for over two years, making him quite the prize. Despite this newfound attention, George wants nothing to do with the event, leading him to have mixed feelings about it. Dream is the son of the strongest Alpha ever known to have competed in the Winter Leaf tournament. Because of his legacy, his father expects the best- and only the best, nothing less of it. Dream's father wants him to grow up to become as strong as he is to carry on their legacy. He has no choice but to fight for the rare male Omega, or who knows what his father will do?

Chapter Thirteen | Worse

~George's P.O.V~

When I said it would get worse, I didn't expect it to escalate so soon.

I nuzzled my head into his fur, taking in his sweet and bitter dark chocolate scent. "Clay?" I glared up to the Alpha.

"Yeah?" He looked down at me, smiling softly.

"Can you use your calming scent again? Maybe mix them together?"

He chuckled, nodding. I was flustered with the new mixture of scents. The overwhelming chocolate scent and honey mixed in the air and instantly made me smile. Clay, however, seemed very uncomfortable.

"Clay? Are you okay?"

He glanced over at me for a moment before turning away. "It's nothing, I'm alright."

I frowned as he tried to reassure me. "Do you have to g-"

He quickly cut me off, not wanting to leave. "No!... No, it's just your scent. I'm fine," he sighed.

Was my scent really affecting the Alpha?

"Is it because I told you to down your scent? You can buff it again if you need to, I don't mind."

The alpha nodded.

"I'm sorry," I said, sighing.

"It's alright, I'm okay. It's much harder for Omegas than Alphas. I'm doing okay."

I nodded my head but it didn't change the fact that I felt bad for the suffering Alpha.

I shifted slightly, uncomfortable in my nest of blankets. "Clay," I groaned, exaggerating the 'y' a few seconds too long. He groomed me gently. "Clay..." I let out another exaggerated whine.

"Shh," the Alpha hushed me, continuing to lightly groom my back. I let out a small, frustrated groan.

"Clayy!!" I closed my eyes as I whined out.

"George, I'm grooming you, stay still." He said, a slight twinge of frustration in his voice. I groaned, relaxing my body. The Alpha hummed a sweet tune while licking my fur. "Chin up, I need to get your neck fluff." I nodded, lifting my head.

"If you could... um... bite my scent gland... that would be good too... Please?" With the given permission, the Alpha had to be wanting to.

He nuzzled my scent gland, licking it over and over and teasing me. "Clay! Stop teasing-" I squeaked as he bites into it, afterward carefully licking the bite.

"Thank you..." I said awkwardly. He groomed my neck fluff before making his way to my scent gland again. It must have been an instinct because he now couldn't keep himself off of it.

"George..."

I sighed as he continued nuzzling my scent gland. He obviously had something on his mind. "Just say it, Clay."

He looked up, locking his gentle eyes with mine. "George, I know you don't like it, but your scent... it's wonderful." My face brightened in a blush as I stretched my neck out, letting the gentle Alpha get full access to my scent gland. He happily took the access before I realized the instinct, shamefully putting my head back down.

The Alpha let out a frustrated but understanding sigh, putting his head down. I nuzzled the side of the Alpha's muzzle. He let out a satisfied huff.

...

I woke up to Clay nuzzling at my scent gland. "Clay." I let out a frustrated groan.

He instantly stopped, putting his head back down. "Sorry George... It's instinct..." I shook my head, a bit disappointed.

After a few more minutes he was back at it again with my scent gland. It was like he was obsessed. "Clay!" I snapped. I let myself breath for a moment to calm down. "Clay, you have to go... please go calm down... You're getting excited and I can tell," I begged. The Alpha looked at me with understanding guilt before getting up and exiting the room.

With the Alpha gone now, it was clear to me how much it was starting to affect us. Was it the best idea to be together?

I finally got up, glancing around the room. My bones were quite stiff from laying down. I just needed to stretch. I dazedly inspected the room for a bit before huddling back down into my nest.

I took in the remains of the Alpha's strong scent, but it wasn't doing as much anymore.

I wanted my alpha...

My Alpha? I groaned as I slowly accepted it. It was hard to ignore at this point. I wanted to scream for the Alpha but I knew it was best if I didn't.

I panted, switching my position to find some way of relief or relaxation, but all I was met with was restlessness. I sniffed the hoodies surrounding me, burying my nose in the scent.

I rolled back and forth in discomfort. "Clay!" I begged, whining. I wanted him back. I knew he wasn't going to come until he knew it was safe for him to come back, but my body was begging for the alpha back and I couldn't help it. My restlessness caused me to put my face into the fan, and to also help with the rising heat.

I was startled by something, causing me to jump up. What the-?

"Clay!" I screamed. "Clay! Please! There's-" I groaned. "There's something wrong!" I panted, painfully yelling for the Alpha.

Clay came busting into the room in human form. He was sweaty and his cheeks were red. "George? What's wrong?"

"I'm dying!" I cried out. "Help! Please! There's something wrong with me!" The Alpha changed to his wolf form, rushing over to me.

"What's wrong?" I glanced down where I was once laying to see a wet spot. I was immediately disgusted with myself. Clay let out a deep sigh. "George... that's completely normal. You aren't dying."

I glared at him. "Then what the hell?"

He shook his head. "Did your mother not teach you anything?"

I shook my head. "It's called slick. It's completely normal for an Omega in heat to produce it."

I let out a deep breath, now realizing I was holding it. "Is it sanitary?"

Clay let out a small chuckle. "Yes, George. It's sanitary enough."

"Enough?!" I screeched.

Clay let out a wheeze. "There's no point in cleaning it. It will just get worse from here."

I looked at the Alpha, my eyes round with terror. "What?!"

He shook his head disapprovingly. "It won't kill you, my God."

I huffed. "But what if it did? Hurts enough too."

He laughed again. "It won't kill you, come here." He padded over to me and curled his body around mine protectively. He was back.

"Is everything okay, Clay?" I asked.

"Yeah. The question is, how are you doing, George?"

I looked down. "Like shit. I'm hot, I'm leaking, your scent is captivating, and cramps. My body is in pain when you are gone," I whined.

He nuzzled against me. "I'm sorry, I have to have control of everything at all times, and if I feel like I don't have control I have to leave."

I nodded understandingly.

"I'm okay now, I'm not going to go anywhere. Calm down." We nuzzled each other. I'm glad I have an Alpha that cares for me and won't force me to mate during my heat. I was so grateful. I was so worried, but Clay... I trust Clay.

He won't hurt me, and I know it...
