The basics and what the hell I'm doing (you can skip this)
As the tatal says this is totally skippabel but to those who stayed let me explain why I'm doing this and the changes that will happen. There may be some spoilers for the story in this so you've been worned.
What I'm doing and why I'm doing it: So what am I doing well I'm making a fan fic about one of my favorite book series wings of fire. For those of you who've read it welcome aboard my wild ride and for those who haven't you shouldn't need to read to know what's going on but you should there great books. Why am I doing this well I've been wanting to try my hand writing ( this will be my first novel ) and I've resently come across my old note books filled with the first five books of the fanfic and I was inspired by my own writing and how well I did the characters.( I wrote that five or more years ago when I was in my teens because my sister decided to torture me by making me write every day during those days so I could get better at writing. ) So I'm writing what's in my notes here of course with extra details and sense that I forgot to put.
What changed from the books (Spoilers ahead): So if this is your first time interacting with the wings of fire series then i hope I get you hooked but this section means nothing to you. You can just skip this section unless you just want to see the power system ahead of time than go ahead. As for those who are already read the series here are the changes. I : the most avoes one so avoes that the novel is named after it. Jokes aside yes the MC is the newly added sixth dragonet and from my notes he's My new favorite character next to (spoiler) Clay I hope guys like him.
II : I've added greater dragon blood lines into the story. This does multiple things first it add some additional power house to some of the factions and give me more flexibility with uneace abilitys without making it (spoiler) just making Animus magic which has also been changed. It also makes all the weird mutations easy to catalog for example (spoiler) Pearl's Fire scales. Those are the reasons why I've made this system by the way none of the other dragonets will have any special bloodline that they didn't have in the books.
III : Animus magic has been made weaker/stronger. First off the reason I'm making it weaker is because it just solved every problem without any consequences which led to it being got rid of which is why I need to make some changes to the system don't worry I won't make anymore than one new Animus dragon (I wonder who). First weakness I've added tries to Animus dragons so that there's now a power difference between them this will also make it possible to destroy artifacts and kill Animus dragons that have given them selves immortality as long as the Animus or there artifact doing it is equal to or stronger. This makes it so there a little less powerful and not able to do as much magic which segwas to the next two weaknesses I've added mana system to the magic ever Animus now has sentient amount magic and spells they can cast before they start draining their stamina for example they can cast two spells with their magic reserves they can keep casting spells but now they will need to use their stamina if they keep pushing it there a large chance at them dieing or going into a come for a long period of time. Now the More powerful the spell or enchantment the more it will take out of them none of you will see this mana has numbers I'm merely mentioning it so you know why Animus Dragons can't endlessly use there magic and make them able to be killed. And finally enchantments can't perfectly replicate the natural abilities of the dragon tribes as I count those a inate magic abilities. Now for how Animus dragons are stronger with the new strength system in place we can now have dragons cable of molding the interior content to there want and affect all dragons with there spells. Also the specific you are are with a spell the more powerful it will be but the more magic it will cost.
Criticism and release schedule: ok where at the final part of this if you decided stick around and read this thank you very much. First criticism now I would like to say I would appreciate it if the grammar police comment on my story to point out any mistakes I make so I can try and fix them but if it's just one than don't expect a fix for a while as for anything else the story has already been set in stone for arc one ( first five books) arc two and three on the other hand sure give ideas on what should happen however I would like you to take what's happen so far in the story in to account. I will be making bonus chapters that will be the pov of the other characters ( dragonets) if you want more than what I have planned then just comment I don't need compassion so don't think you need to do that if you enjoy the book just give me a 3 star review (I don't expect more than that) as for my release schedule at best three chapters a week with an goal one a week I should have the first proper chapter this weekend hope you all enjoy it.
