Chapter 4

"What the fuck is your problem?"

He looked at me clearly taken aback. He didn't say anything just opened his door and rounded the car, he opened my door and I got out.

We walked in and he put his hand on my waist. I shifted awkwardly but noticed more camera man were arriving, pointing their camera's at us.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

I sighed, we're already sounding like a toxic couple. I nodded my head and we stepped into the restaurant the hostesses eyes widening as we walked in.

"Miss Montez, Mr Bradshaw, welcome." She greeted eagerly.

I smiled, very fake, very wealthy smile.

"Let me show you to your booth." She walked off and we followed. She lead us to a private section of the restaurant, privacy was key for these rich people. Everything was very sleek and modern. Appealing to the eyes.

"Our exclusive new couples booth, for exclusive clients."

"Of course, the menu, and stop staring at me I'm engaged." Zayn glared at the hostess.

I put my hand over my mouth trying to smother my laughter but it didn't work. I was in tears. She bowed her head and walked off.

Zayn and I talked for a few minutes and eventually a waitress came with our menus taking our drink orders and coming back with our food.

"So, you're ready for Saturday?" Zayn asked.

"Yeah, I have a fitting on Wednesday, I should be back by then."

"Back? Back from where."

"Australia."

"Why are you going to Australia?"

"Business, I'm designing a building there. Smiths Textiles." He nodded chewing very slowly. His movements calculated and I was anticipating his next move.

"I have business there too. We should go together." I raised my eyebrow.

"Really? What kind of business?"

"I'm signing off a contract." He replied smoothly.

"Yeah? With which company?"

"Funny you should ask, Smith Textiles." He smirked.

I laughed. This was ludicrous.

"No way, I'll cancel everything, I can't. What no way." This was definitely planned.

"It probably was."

"I said that out loud?" He nodded and laughed.

"I can't believe it, and we can't cancel can we?"

"Nope. I found out about it today, right after I called you."

"No way, me too!"

"They probably booked a hotel room and everything."

"I..."

"Miss Montez, call at the front."

"For me?" The hostess nodded and walked back out front.

"I'll be right back."

When I got to the front she handed me the phone.

"Hello?"

"Why hello Ri."

"Who am I speaking to?"

"Don't recognise your mother's voice?" I could hear the smirk in her voice.

I hung up immediately, nope, she's not doing this to me. I won't let her. How does she even know I'm here? Did she call my dad? He would never tell her.

"Hey, you okay?" I turned around, shocked to see Zayn standing behind me.

"Yeah, Uhm... I... Let's go back to the booth." We walked over to the booth to find the waiter waiting for us. We sat down and she asked if she could bring anything else. Zayn decided he wanted to order desert, I went for coffee. We chatted about this and that, it was comfortable. I was comfortable.

We called for the bill and much to my dismay, Zayn decided he wanted to pay, after we left the restaurant we drove around aimlessly.

"So, what's next?"

"Home?" I suggested feeling exhausted after the long day of work.

"How about we go to my place, we could watch movies?" I chuckled not knowing if it was genuine or if he was just trying to get into my pants. I didn't wanna fall in love, I didn't want to get too close, it's not in my nature.

"No, thank you, I'd much rather go to sleep, it's been a long day."

"As you wish."

We drove in the direction of our gated community, he dropped me off and drove off without saying good night. It's whatever. I walked in, careful not to wake any of the staff, walking to the East wing of the house. I walked into my room, collapsing on the bed, what a day, I got the biggest contract of my life, probably with the help of my father, but it doesn't matter at this point. I was getting married to the number one batchelor in Windamere, I'm flying to Australia in two days, with Zayn, so first order of business in the morning was to ask my dad about his plan to get Zayn and I together in Australia. What was he thinking?

We were going places people could only dream of. We're going to be the talk of the town, Montez and Bradshaw family join forces, royalty and royalty.

I bet you're wondering why we're called royalty, well I'll explain it to you.

We have ranks in this little town of ours, although nobody is poverty stricken, there are people who are less fortunate, but everyone was of the working class.

First we have the commoners, they work at a minimum wage, earning enough to pay their bills and put food on the table.

Secondly we have the wealthy, they work as CEO's or accountants, lawyers etc. They can afford to buy big houses, automobiles, go out everyday and pay the bill.

Then there's us, the royals, we own companies, we have shares, properties, we invest, and we supply. We can afford to build mansions from the ground up, we own houses, villas, manors in many parts of the world, we own private jets, along with many other things, people fear us, many people wish to be us, but few have what it takes to make it. In many cases, we encounter people who are willing to sell their soul to get a taste of the lives we live, meeting celebrities, getting verified on social media, they crave the 'status' but cannot maintain it.

It takes hard work, to get to where we are today, and it's not easy. Anyway.

I changed out of my dress and into some pajama's, I sat on my bed, scrolling through my emails, noting that I had a few important ones, I quickly replied before getting under the covers, I snuggled up against my pillow, and fell into a light sleep.

The next morning I walked out of the shower, humming a tune, I went on dressing in casual attire fixing my hair into a messy bun. I walked downstairs towards dads office, I found him sitting in front of computer typing away.

"Busy as always dad."

"For you? Never. What's up?"

"I wanted to ask about this Australia trip. Did you set this up?" He tried to hide his smile, but he broke out into a huge grin.

"Genius isn't it? But don't worry, I didn't help you with the contract though, that was all your hard work. The whole plan was to get Zayn to take you with, but would you look at that, you're already going."

"Dad!"

"Oh, your stylist is coming over later."

"What for? Are we attending an event?"

"I don't think I would call your engagement party an event, well only the event of the year, but that's not important."

"Engagement party? When did you plan this?"

"Oh no sweetie, this was all Mrs Bradshaw."

"Argh! I'm so sick of that lady. She thinks she can control everything."

"Well, Miss 'i own a multi million dollar company' you should use this time to strategize your time in Australia, remember, this is a big contract. Both our reputations are on the line here."

"Yeah yeah. I've gotta make a call, thanks dad. I love you."

"I love you too Ribear."
