191 The Particular Night of Six Years Ago

Unfortunately for Calix, what happened on that particular night six years ago was still hazy in his mind. He barely remembered anything until recently.

Little pieces of that night started regaining some of their clarity early this year.

Calix wasn't sure what had triggered his memory but, he made up his mind to marry Leslie after confirming she was that woman from that night.

Other people thought he simply chose a comatose lady to escape from his grandmother's plan to get him a wife.

'No matter what is the reason, I'm such a scum. I've made her suffer.'

Keeping his eyes closed, Calix's face contorted in agony. The sunlight beamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting shadows from the back.

Calix's heart ached terribly as those memories resurfaced in his mind, reminding him of the pain he had unknowingly inflicted on Leslie.
