The furrow in my brows began to deepen as I watched Katrina walk inside Joe’s bedroom. My hands were on my hips, counting from one to three, wishing she would come out and stay in my bedroom for the night. After counting up to ten and seeing that she still hadn't emerged, I let out a defeated sigh.

I stepped inside my room, grabbing the remote from my bed harshly and switched on the television, flipping through the channels. I leaned against my headboard as I opened Netflix.
