Chapter 44 HURT

COHEN’s P O V

I wiggled my way onto the barstool next to the man in the black shirt who was having a conversation with the brunette standing next to him. It wasn't my intention to listen on their conversation, but I overheard them discussing the estate that he had just recently bought.

I shook my head and silently chuckled, and when I tilted my head, my attention was drawn to the woman who was lounging against the bar. The neckline of her white top was low enough to give a view of an impressive rack.

I downed the hard liquor from my glass, and she turned her attention to me. In an instant, the bored expression that had been on her face was replaced with one that displayed intense interest.

I watched her in mild amusement as she straightened, tugging her top even lower till I could see a glimpse of the black lacy bra she wore underneath. She flashed me a coy smile while her eyes slowly travelled down my body, her body language sending out an open invitation to me.
