Sound Zone

Dr. Fred POV:

I was about to enter Adrian's room when I heard the voice of broken bones. I hesitated at first to open the door but when I opened it ,my blood ran cold. Adrian lied unmoving on a pool of blood on the floor.

The first thing I did was checking his heartbeats, he was alive. But his heartbeats were getting fainter and his breaths were getting shallower every passing second.

I am a doctor, these case happen almost everyday so I got used to it but what happened today struck me. I carried him to the emergency immediately.

Coming to think of it I have known these children since they were five. When Adrian was five, Reina adopted Gin and War which are the same age as Adrian.

I didn't want to tell Zuri what happened, he have gone through a lot since their mother died. I decided to call Zuri, I opened the phone and dialed his number:

"Zuri come fast, your brother has been."

I couldn't bring myself to complete the sentence but I am sure he understood that something must have happened.

Zuri POV:

I didn't even wait for Dr Fred to finish because I knew something severe happened to Adrian. My legs began running on their own towards the hospital. The hospital was 35 kilometers away from our house but I reached it in10 minutes.

I instinctively went towards Adrian's room and that was when I found the pool of blood. I couldn't think of anything, my insides churned and a wave of fear hit me. I kneeled to the floor and was about to cry when Fred touched my shoulder.

"He is alive."

A wave of hope ignited inside me, "Where is he."

"Before you see him see this." He hesitated at first but then he gave me a report

They did every kind of check up that was needed and result was devastating. Adrian's spinal cord was severly damaged, out of the 32 spinal cord bones 7 were broken. He was crippled forever.

"Let's hurry he is in the ICU."

I ran towards the ICU and found Adrian, he was extremely pale. If it wasn't for the constant rise of his chest, I would have thought he was dead. I ran towards him, his body temperature was low but I thanked god for him being alive.

"What happened?."

I could notice that doctor Fred was hesitant, there was something he didn't want me to know.

"Please tell me what happened? I have to know."

"Ok."

He began telling the story. That everyday for the past 7 days at exactly 21:00 Adrian would have nightmares. That when he had those nightmares he would start shouting like a madman and destroy everything around him. The doctors wanted to help him and that he crippled ten doctors in the past 7 days. He told me how he entered Adrian's room and found him lying on a pool of blood.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I was angry at Dr. Fred, but I was more angry at myself. That I wasn't there when my brother needed me the most.

"I did this for your sake."

"Before you came I went to the security room. I wanted to see who done it but what I have seen didn't make sense."

"What do you mean?"

He gestured me to follow him, I followed him until we reached the highest floor on the hospital. The floor was dark and there was only one room. Dr. Fred opened the room, inside there was nothing other than screens.

"Zuri come see this"

He showed me a video of Adrian before 20 minutes, Adrian was sitting in his bed, he stood and started walking around his room. He was staring at everything around him. Suddenly! The sound of broken bones could be heard clearly. Adrian hit the floor with a bang and lost conciousness. But there was no one in the room except for Adrian.

Meanwhile, In the army HQ Bai was tormenting the demons in the worst way you could ever imagine. Beside Bai stood a B ranked mage healer(Gerald). He was a short man with black hair, eyebrows and eyes.

(A/N: A person's mana proficiency depends on mana core's size and the person's proficiency on mana control. Now these two factora define the individuals ranks. The ranks are: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, X, XX, XXX.)

The two demons were in a miserable state, they were very pale and there were several holes in their bodies. The business suit they wore is tattered and was soaked in their blood.

"Are you ever going to talk?" Bai was angry, his patience was reaching it's limit.

The two demons didn't reply, instead they rolled their eyes.

"Sound bullets."

8 invisible sound bullets materialized. Bai pointed at the demons' limbs and the bullets flashed towards the demons in a sub sonic speed. The bullets entered their bodies. Bai closed his palm and the bullets exploded inside their bodies.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

Their limbs weren't there anymore.

"Are you going to talk."

Again the demons didn't reply.

"I really did want to resort to this method but you forced me. Gerald heal them but don't heal their legs. After you finish get out of the room for your own safety."

Gerald complied, he stood in front of the two demons and said and incantation. A green light emerged from Gerald and enveloped the two demons. The holes in their bodies weren't there anymore and their hands have grown. Then immediately Gerald ran outside the room.

Bai smiled in a demonic way as an intense black aura spread around him. The room's temperature decreased by 100 degrees.

"Sound Zone."

The radius of 10 meters around Bai was covered in an invisible layer of sound. Very high intensity sounds were released from the domain. Blood spurted from the demons' ears as they heard the sounds, they started shouting and tried covering their ears. Meanwhile, Bai was standing there smiling as if nothing happened.

"Please stop I will tell you." one demon shouted

"You sure."

"Please stop." the other demon shouted

"Do you wish to give me the information I want?."

"Yes." Both of them shouted.

"Sound Zone cancel."

The invisible layer of sound around Bai vanished.

'Please forgive us Prince.' The demons cried.

Bai face lit as he smiled.
