SOLENE'S POV

Nagising ako sa ingay ng musika sa paligid. probably, gising na si Mommy. Miangay na eh. For sure nagzuzumba nanaman yun.

Nagmuni muni muna ako bago ako tumayo and decided to start my day.

Actually, today is the day.

Today is my college admission test. And, I am not nervous. Talagang iyon ang pinapangarap kong University at tunay na mahirap makapasok dito kasi nga tanyag. Kaya ang ginawa ko, nag-aral ako ng mabuti. Naghire pa si Mommng ng tutor ko before exam and I can say naman na marami din akong natutunan.

At first, I am very nervous kasi mayroong doubt na baka kapag hindi makapasa, madidisappoint ko sila Mommy which is the last thing that I want to happen. Ayoko silang madisappoint saakin kasi everytime they do, feel ko failure ako.

But, Dad is kind enough to console me with his words. He told me na ayos lang kung hindi ako makapasok as long binigay ko yung best ko.

I stood up and stretched. Tinignan ko ang sarili ko sa salamin at ngumiti. Wala lang, I just feel like I need to as paunti-unti ay kinakabahan na ako.

Making sure na hindi mapansin ni Mommy yung kaba ko, I tried to shake it off like jumping. This sure works,

Pagkababa ko, tama nga ako at nagzuzumba nanaman siya. Ngumiti pa siya saakin nang makita niya ako while wearing her neon headband and neon leggings as well na angsakit sa mata.

"Gising ka na?" she asked. Mom tend to ask what is obvious and I love answering them naman.

"I just woke up" I answered and umupo ako sa sofa at pinanood siyang sumayaw while I am just here still half asleep with my big oversize hoodie.

"I cooked breakfast, you can now eat" she said while still dancing. Hindi nga siya saakin tumingin nung sinabi niya yun saaakin, she is jst way too focused on the telivision.

"let's eat together, Mom" I answered.

"I'm on a diet. Kumain ka na at baka malate ka pa sa admission test mo" she answered.

Right.

Tumayo na ako at dumiretso sa kusina at nakita nga na nagluto siya ng fried rice and hotdog and may milk na din na nakaready. Kakain nalang talaga ako. I ate while watching her burn calories and minsan nagpapatawa pa siya saakin.

I just smiled, she really loves staying fit.

After eating, sabi niya ay siya na ang maghuhugas ng kinainan ko at maligo na daw ako bago pa ako malate. And so I did. Ayoko din namang malate. Naligo na din ako at nag-ayos at yung kaba ko, bumabalik nanaman, Kakasabi ko lang kanina na hindi ako kinakabahan ngunit here I am now. nervous as ever.

Given that I already got my driver's license, pinayagan na ako ni Mommy na magdrive. The school is 2 hours drive kapag magcommute, and it is only around 1 hour and 20 minutes if may sariling sasakyan.

Umalis na ako around 10am dahil nga 1pm yung admission test ko. On my way to the school, hindi talaga maalis yung kaba ko kaya I decided to stop by the convenience store muna.

Sabi ko ay kukuha ako ng water, but I ended up seeing coffee kaya yun nalang kinuha ko. Nasa counter na ako when I noticed the guy in front of me. He definitely smells so good, as in. Angbango niya.

Judging from his looks, he is probably a student like me. He is wearing a white polo long sleeve pero nakatupi yung sleeves hanggang siko niya and he is wearing an apple watch.

Nagulat ako nang makita ko yung papel na hawak niya. It is a registration form sa admission test sa school na papasukan ko.

We are schoolmates? magt-take din siya ng test? I hope we're in the same room.

I decided not to look at him so much since magiging super awkward if mahuli niya ako. I wanna know his name so bad, pero I don't wanna ask for it since bawal pa din namana ko magboyfriend. Kahit kaibigan lang muna please?

Solene umayos ka! I pulled myself together and decided to pay for my coffee in a bottle when tapos na siyang magbayad.

Lumingon ako and saw him enter a black car. Oh, so he is driving as well.
