80 Finding the Darkest attic

The door opened into an abyss. There was no color, no light, and no promise of anything but horror on the other side. No words. No direction. Just an open door.

"What the hell?" Lauren looked out the door into an illusion of darkness.

Lauren had expected to see someone enter, but there was no one. Instead of the outside listening with lights— there was darkness.

It was so dark that it was scary. Lauren thought it was a chance to go out, but her legs were too weak to move and her mind was too weak to think, so she couldn't stay here forever either.

She started taking small steps towards the door and looked outside, but still didn't see anyone out.

Lauren's eyes begin to readjust in the artificial cloak of night; fingers feel their way through the rough corridors, but she didn't say a word as this all seem delusional.
