1 ~Good Morning World~

The sun was rising creating a beautiful dawn in the savanna. Under a tree was a cheetah that's about to give birth to her first litter. Another cheetah said, "Ah! I'll go get warm water! Stay right there Bella!" then he ran off. Bella sighed deeply, hoping it won't be too bad.

Bella remembered a freind say, "It won't be so bad. My first litter wasn't a problem at all!" Bella scoffed at the thought. "Yeah right. I bet you felt like I did." Bella thought crossley. Then there was a contraction. Bella growled and thought, "Grr... where is he!?" The cheetah that left got water and said, "It will be ok... I'll be careful with our cubs..."

Moments later, Bella had birthed three cheetah cubs. The male said, "What shall we name them?" Bella glanced at the normal looking cub and said, "This one will be.... Penny..." Then the male cheetah looked at the white cub and said, "Uh... we'll name this one Ice!" Bella nodded, then looked at the gold looking cub.

Her eyes sparkled and she said, "We'll name this one... Kole..." Slowly, Bella fell asleep. The male sat beside her and said, "Those are gorgeous names..."

Three months later, Bella took her cubs hunting. Bella said, "Stay here cubs. I'll get something for all of us." Then she ran off. Penny said, "This is so exciting! I can't believe that we're outside!" Ice said, "Yeah! It's so warm... what do you think Kole?" Kole looked over at Ice cheerfully, and said, "It's wonderful. It's so beautiful out here..." Then they heard a soft voice say, "Hey cubs... what are you doing out here... alone?"

The three cubs quickly turned around and saw a hyena. Kole hid behind Ice and the hyena said, "My name is Ruka... yours?" "My name is Ice, and these are my siblings, Kole and Penny." Ice said bravely. Ruka said, "Kehehe~ You're so delici- uh- CUTE looking cubs..." Kole said, "I-Ice... maybe we should leave..." Ice said, "Oh? Why? This is our new friend!" Kole said, "I don't know... momma said-"

Ruka blurted out, "I'm your mother's best freind!" Penny gasped and said, "Cool!' Penny walked up to Ruka, but then they heard a voice shout, "Stay away from my cubs!" But it was too late. Before Bella could say anything else, Ruka bit off Penny's entire head in front of everyone. Penny's body just plopped on the ground and Bella shouted, "Penny! No!"

Bella ran to Ruka and attacked her. Ice said, "C-C'mon Kole...!" Ice ran away and Kole ran after him. After running for a long time, Kole said, "Ice! We should stop!" Ice tripped and said, "O-ow... good idea..." Kole layed down next to Ice and said, "I miss momma..." Ice said, "M-me too..." Then they heard a loud roar. Ice quickly stood up and said, "What... was that?"

Then they heard a deep voice say, "It was me. Because you're trespassing in our territory!" It was a lioness. Ice said, "Aah! P-please don't hurt us!" The lioness said, "O-oh... what's the matter?" Kole said, "A-An animal named R-Ruka bit our sister's head off... and our mother is fighting her..." The lioness put her paw on her mouth and said, "Oh dear... poor little cubs... follow me."

Ice and Kole followed the lioness into her pride's camp. A lioness said, "Hey Aphrodite! Whatcha got there?" The lioness turned and said, "These poor cubs lost their mother, and they're suffering from a loss." The other lioness said, "Oh dear! How cruel... we have to tell Leo about this..." Aphrodite said, "Ok. Hopefully he approves... for now I'll let these cubs sleep with the other lion cubs."

The lioness said, "I'll be back!" and ran off to a den. Aphrodite said, "Come on. You get to meet other lion cubs." Ice smiled widely and Kole was still frowning. When they got to the cubs' den, Aphrodite said, "Alright cubs! Come and meet your new guests!" A few lion cubs went to investigate, but a few others were nervous. But there was a cub that seemed like a leader.

He walked up to Ice and said, "What's a cheetah like you doing here...?" Aphrodite said, "Now now Red. Be nice to them. I have to talk with your father." Then Aphrodite walked out, disappearing into the night. Red said, "So what's your name?" "My name is Ice! And behind me is my brother, Kole." Kole peeked from behind Ice and slowly waved at Red.

Red waved back and said, "Haha! He's so shy!" Ice said, "He's not used to strangers. Especially since... our sister died..." Red said, "Oh... I'm sorry for your loss..." Ice slowly nodded and said, "Is there a place we can sleep?" Red said, "Yup. Follow me!" Ice and Kole followed Red to a loft at the corner of the den. Kole silently said, "Thank you..." Red said, "No problem little dude. I'll see y'all in the morning!"

Then Red ran off to sleep with his siblings. Kole said, "I miss Penny..." Ice said, "Me too... at least we still have each other, right?" Kole smiled and said, "Yeah. Good night Ice." "Good night Kole." After they said their goodnights, Ice and Kole slowly fell asleep.
