Bootstrap's Trap

"Ew! How dare you call me that!" Pandora said while backing away. Bootstrap smirked and quickly grabbed her by the scruff. Pandora tried to struggle, but it wasn't working. Lark shouted, "Bootstrap! Let her go!" Bootstrap didn't even turn back, and he ran off with Pandora hanging from his jaws.

The other wolves immediately followed while some stayed to watch Kole and Ice. Lark ran after the other wolves shouting, "You fools! He'll kill you all!"

"Let go of me you bastard!" Bootstrap mumbled, "A pretty face like yours shouldn't know such a word like that, yeah?" Bootstrap slowed down at a huge Clear Spot. He threw Pandora down and trapped her with chains made from darkness. He said, "A pretty lady for good bait. I just love how this goes." Pandora shouted, "You monster! Let me go!" Bootstrap said, "Keep screaming. It'll only bring them to my trap faster."

Bootstrap said, "They're here." A small horde of wolves, including Lark and Milo, entered the clearing, and they immediately were surrounded by a tinted forcefield. A wolf shouted, "We're trapped!" The wolves started panicking when Bootstrap grew closer and closer to them. Milo went up front and roared, summoning a bunch of rocks. Bootstrap said, "Picking a fight now, eh?" Milo growled and shouted, "Shut up! I'm going to crush you!"

Milo threw the rocks at Bootstrap, but he immediately felt that something was wrong. He collapsed and spat out blood. Bootstrap said, "So the lot of you did switch souls. I'm surprised. When I bit the cheetah, I thought I infected his soul as well. I guess he's safe for now." Milo shouted, "You bastard!" Milo tried to use magic again, but he couldn't even summon a pebble. Bootstrap said, "So the mighty Claudius lives another day."

A wolf said, "Stay here Milo. We'll handle this!" Lark was about to protest once again, but the wolves immediately took action. They started doing all sorts of moves, even some that looked new. Bootstrap was able to handle some of them well, but a few still affected him. Bootstrap growled and said, "You're in my domain now weaklings! It's time to show you what I can really do!" He crouched down and started to transform into a beast like no other.

His fangs grew longer and sharper, and so did his claws. His body grew more muscular and most of his fur grew back. He now looked more like a sabertooth than a hyena. He roared, and most of the wolves retreated. The others were paralyzed as they watched the transformation. Lark too, was paralyzed and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Milo shouted, "Lark! Everyone! Get out of there!" But it was too late. Bootstrap had already started his counterattack.

Darkness flowed out of the ground, and clones of himself started forming. He said, "These may be weaker than me, but I'm sure they'll do." Four clones of himself rushed to attack the wolves. They started fighting back, and the battle has begun. Lark, who was in the back started helping the wolves fight back. Milo with his physical strength started helping as well, and Bootstrap sat back and watched as the clones and wolves fought.

A group of wolves managed to take down a clone, and so did another. Many wolves were knocked down and even killed fighting the clones. Some wolves tried to get to Pandora, but they were always dragged back by a clone. Before one of the clones were defeated, the second clone jumped in and fused with the first. Now it was as strong as Bootstrap in his hyena form. Lark shouted, "You guys take care of it! I'll be back!"

Milo and a few wolves started shouting, "Lark, wait!" Lark didn't listen to them and he ran straight to Bootstrap. He shouted, "Us masters have our secrets too!" Bootstrap grinned, but it slowly faded to a serious expression when Lark howled. Water started flowing out of the ground and it quickly surrounded Lark. "Ancient Water Art! Steel Waves!" More water started to appear, and it was turning a silver color. Bootstrap said, "A worthy opponent. This'll be good."
