BOOM

Hearing a loud sound, Tobias was knocked out of his trance only to see the sight of Midoriya trembling with his finger purple and broken.

"Oh, he managed to control it a little this time." said Tobias.

"Is that how his arm looked during the entrance exam?" asked Kyoka.

"Yup. Still, though, such a powerful quirk being held back because of lack of control is such a shame."

"Maybe you can help him. You said you might be able to help Aizawa-sensei, and you've helped me, so why not him?" said Kyoka.

"Maybe, but I'm not too sure. The only thing I can think of is to give him a healing card, but other than that, it depends on him. Even if I can create a quirk training or evolution card, the stamina that would take is far, far too much for me to handle right now. And besides that, I don't really see how I could help. His quirk is pretty simple, at least from what I can tell, so there's no special way to instruct him to use it, unlike yours." said Tobias.

"Whoa, you've actually given this some thought." said Kyoka, a little flabbergasted at his response.

"Of course I have. We're all classmates and potential future heroes, so why wouldn't I want to help my peers get ahead? I don't want them to die fighting a villain knowing I could've helped them in some way. I'm also not an optimist who believes he can save everyone and help everyone. But if I can help those I like to get better, then that's enough for me." said Tobias before seeing that Bakugo was stunned in anger.

"What is this, Deku?! Explain now, shitrag!" yelled Bakugo as he used his quirk to rush towards Midoriya. But before he could reach him, two projectiles that were heading his way, hit him.

"What the hell?! I can't move!" he yelled. Bakugo was currently wrapped by both cloths that originated from Aizawa-sensei and yellow chains that sprung from the ground after a card hit him.

"Tobias-kun, dispel your quirk. And Bakugo quit your yelling and fighting. Don't make me use my quirk so much. I've got dry eye, dammit!" he said before unraveling Bakugo from his cloth.

"Yes, sir!" said Tobias while mock saluting, before dispelling his chains. The chains were a variation on his yellow card, while his normal yellow card is a status effect with no visual, the card he used now is exactly the same thing but with the added visual of the chains.

"We're wasting time. Prepare for the next trial." said Aizawa-sensei.

~~

"Time to present the results." said Aizawa-sensei.

"The total is simply the aggregate of all your scores, if I recited all your scores we'd be here all day, so I'll disclose them all at once." he said before pulling out a small box.

"Oh yeah, that whole expulsion thing was a lie. A logical ruse to make you all perform your best." he said with a weird smile.

"WHAT?!" yelled a few classmates while Tobias laughed.

"That was obvious." said Kyoka.

"True, but effective. Nothing makes people perform better than fear. Though it's not sustainable for the long run." said Tobias.

"Okay, class is over. Your curriculum sheets are back in the classroom so give them a once-over. Midoriya, go to Recovery Girl and get yourself patched up. Tomorrow's absurd ordeal will make your eyes pop out." he said before handing Midoriya a slip and leaving.

"Come on, let's go check our scores." said Tobias as he walked up to get a closer look.

"I got first, eh? Not surprising at all." he said with a big smile.

"I got seventh. Not bad." said Kyoka with a slight smile that betrayed her facade.

"Not bad? That's really good. I'm proud of you. But you would have gotten higher if you had trained more." said Tobias.

"You're right. I'm going to try harder from now on." she said with a determined look which made Tobias want to tease her, so he held her hand, which she quickly jerked away.

"W-what are you doing?" she flusteredly whispered as she looked around making sure no one saw them.

"Haha. Sorry, I just wanted to tease you. Come on, let's go get our curriculum and go home." he said before walking off as she followed.

"Excuse me?" asked Momo as she caught up to the pair.

"Oh, Yaoyorozu-chan, what's up?" asked Tobias, seeing who called out to him.

"Don't use chan unless she says it's okay." said Kyoka to him.

"It's fine, I prefer if you call me Momo. Yaoyorozu sounds like you're talking to my mom."

"Okay, then Momo-chan." said Tobias with a thumbs up.

"Thank you. If you don't mind me asking, what is your quirk? I know it's related to cards but you've shown such versatility with them, I'm just curious." she asked.

"Sorry, Momo-chan. As much as I would like to tell you, it would ruin any surprise factor. You're smart so I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually, but for now, I want to keep the magic alive." he said with a smile and a wink before continuing to walk off.

After walking a good distance from everyone else, Kyoka spoke up.

"That was surprising. I thought you would go on a long-winded speech about how great your quirk is."

"I like to be carefree, but I'm not careless. Well, not completely, more like I'm not an idiot. I know my quirk is strong and versatile. I also know that the longer the specifics of my quirk are kept on the down low, the better it is. Even though I'm sure, if someone really wanted to they could figure out what my quirk is, I want to possibly delay that as long as possible. I know what certain people would do to have my quirk for themselves, and I need to get stronger before I don't have to worry about that anymore." he said with a serious face that stunned Kyoka for a few seconds before she spoke.

"Help me train, so I can get stronger and help you in the future. That way it won't be just you fighting to protect me, or your family. It'll be both of us, fighting to protect each other."

"Of course, I'll help you. And I know you'll get strong enough to protect what you hold dear because I believe in you."

"I really do have a great boyfriend." said Kyoka as she grabbed his hand.

"We're still on school grounds, you know. What if people see us?" he asked.

"I realized you were right. The longer girls know you, the more I'm sure they'll fall for you. So, I'm marking my territory. And I'll do so tomorrow as well." she said with a serious face.

"Haha. Don't worry, other girls don't interest me. Except for Mt. Lady. And the Rabbit Hero: Mirko. And-"

BUZZ

What the two didn't realize was that Kyoka wouldn't have to mark her territory in front of anyone, because Mina had secretly followed them to figure out whether or not they were dating. And she happened to catch up to them right as they began to hold hands before promptly running back to gossip with the rest of the class.

~~

"Ugh, we have normal classes in the morning before we get to the fun classes in the afternoon." complained Tobias as he and Kyoka made their way to class.

"What'd you expect, this is still a school after all."

"I hope they're taught in a fun way at least. Or by fun teachers." said Tobias as he reached the door.

"'Morning everyone." said Tobias as he made his way to his seat before being stopped by Mina and Denki, both of whom had smiles on their faces.

"Uhh, what's up?" said Tobias.

"We know your secret." said Mina, with a teasing smile.

"Okay, which one?"

"I saw you and Jiro-chan holding hands yesterday."

"Oh, that. I thought you meant something more serious. Did you tell anyone else?"

"Maybe."

"Did you tell the whole class?"

"Maybe."

"Good, that way we won't have to do it. Thanks for taking care of that." he said before sitting down.

"Uhh, wait you're not keeping it a secret anymore?" asked Mina to Kyoka.

"No. I was going to mark my territory, so to speak, today but you did it for me, so thanks." said Kyoka with a smile.

"Aww, that's no fun." they both said before sitting down.

After classes consisting of English taught by Present Mic, Math, and Japanese taught by other teachers, the class then had lunch provided by the Cooking Hero, Lunch Rush. But during lunch, Tobias went to go talk to Aizawa-sensei and give him a gift, contact lenses that nourish the eyes, effectively stopping dry eyes.

~

Knock Knock

"Hm, come in." said Aizawa-sensei looking up to see Tobias, "What do you need?"

"Nothing. I noticed your eyes get dry while and/or after using your quirk so I made something that should help." said Tobias, handing over a case with contact lenses.

"Contacts?" asked Aizawa-sensei confused.

"I'm sure you know what my quirk is, Sensei. I made a card that would create a pair of contact lenses that constantly nourish the eyes without impeding vision or quirk activation. And they're permanent, you just have to put them in the case for an hour every 24 hours. Luckily, I barely managed to create them." explained Tobias.

"Why?"

"You're my teacher and a pro-hero and if I can do something to help my teacher, which in turn will help with villain capture then why not?"

"Thanks." he said, staring at the contact case.

"Of course, let me know if they work correctly and/or if you need a new pair, Sensei. Well, it's lunchtime and I'm starving so I'll be off. Later, Sensei." said Tobias before leaving the office.

After lunch was the class that Tobias was most looking forward to, Foundational Heroic Studies.

"IT"S ME!" yelled a figure that walked into class.

"Whoa, it's All Might." said Kyoka.

"Cool. This class is really shaping up to be the most fun one." said Tobia with a smile.

"Foundational Hero Studies! For this class, we'll be building up your hero foundation through various trials! Let's jump right in with this!" he said as he showed us a card with the word battle on it.

"The Trial of Battle!"

"Whoa, trial of battle." said some of the class.

"And to go with your first battle, we've prepared the gear we had you send in requests for to match your quirks!" he said while the wall opened up revealing boxes with numbers on them which really riled up the class.

"Get changed and we'll be ready to go! Everyone gather at Grounds β! The garb you bring into the battlefield is vitally important, boys and girls! And don't forget! From here on out, you're all officially heroes!" he yelled before rushing out of the class.

"Nice, I hope they created it to my specifications." said Tobias as he got up to grab his box with his gear.

"Did you send in the one you showed me?" asked Kyoka.

"No, I made some last-minute changes to the whole thing. You'll see." he said with a big smile as he walked off to the locker rooms to change.

Entering a changing room, Tobias opened his box to see the costume he had asked for in its full glory.

"Oh yeah, it's all coming together." he said to himself, before taking out a card that he had made just for this moment.

The card he had created was called Requip: Hero Costume and it was one of the first permanent cards he had made. The effect of it is to store Tobias' outfits and be able to equip and unequip them with a single command, all he had to say was Requip followed by the specification since he had made one for his other outfits. Tobias got the inspiration for the card from the Requip magic from Fairy Tail.

"Requip: Hero." he said after storing the outfit in the card which was followed by a brief flash of light.

Tobias was now clad in his hero costume which looked like Twisted Fate's Crime City Nightmare skin minus the demonic aspect, at least the many eyeballs. The black and red accents of the outfit remained untouched, while the mask was changed to seem less villainy. Tobias considered leaving the outfit as is, but his mom happened to see his design and told him it would be wise to make it look less like a villain's outfit.

Still, though, Tobias really liked his outfit, especially considering it was his favorite TF skin. The only thing that was missing was a piece of equipment that he wasn't able to create just yet, permanently anyways. But the time for it would come eventually.

Exiting the changing room, Tobias stumbled upon the other boys looking at each other's hero costumes.

"Nice costume, Tobias." said Denki whose costume was pretty simple.

"Thanks. I like yours too." said Tobias as they all made their way out of the locker room and into the training grounds.

"All right! Let's see what you're made of, you embryos!"
