223 Leaving

Anne walked inside the palace gate, where she saw her sister pacing back and forth as if waiting for her. Anne halted her steps and tried to look as normal as possible, but even the guards looked curiously at the trace of tears on her cheeks.

Although, Merek hadn't informed anyone about her kidnapping, and she was thankful for that. At least she wouldn't be the reason to make her family worry. She forced herself to hold back the tears as she recalled all the events that had happened this same night. Her kidnapping, those men who had almost raped her, then...Merek.

"Sister..." She called out to Ara who had been worriedly pacing up and down waiting for her. And hearing her sister called, she immediately turned towards the direction, without waiting another moment, Ara ran towards her not caring how the guards were giving her strange looks.
