19 What We Do For Love

Clara couldn't hear anything that Benjamin said. Benjamin had always feared losing Clara. And now she is almost taken by the river. His heart pounded when he saw Clara's body submerged in the water.

Benjamin seeing his friend that way,rendered him in a state of ecstasy. The distance between the two was 25 meters away from where he was standing. He had no choice but to do the last thing he wanted to do; Change.

Without any further thoughts, Benjamin breathed all the oxygen out of his lungs.

In order to change into his Elevated form, he had to go through this procedure. Simply because it had been a long time ever since he changed.

He had been meaning to change all this time, starting from the very moment the shop owner got shot right in the head.He wanted to change and dash Clara through the forest but it was a bad idea . She could have seen what that innocent body of his had mutated into.

Now seems the perfect time for the transformation.

He dipped his head under the cold flowing river.Suddenly,he opened his mouth wide then he pulled in water into his systems.The water rushing through his throat quickly. When his body received enough water it activated his genes. The water gave his body enough strength.Whilst under the water,his eyes turned deep green.The blood within his veins raced faster,his toes change to fins that looked like that of a mermaid but instead of one giant fish tail,he had two legs with each of them a scales for toenails. Three dosal fins sprouted around his neck.Blood came rushing in to his abdomen making arbs appear on his green skin.His Brown hair's increased two times it normal size. Then his face became like that of a hyena but his ears alone did not change in shape. Comparing to the previous days,his face wasn't scary looking anymore.

His chest morphed into hard green skin filled with Sharp scales.

His hearing, smelling and sight became more sensitive.It wasn't on the level of the comic book scout friend who wears blue and red and has this S symbol on his chest.That guy could see through everything.

He increased in both weight and height.

His nails elongated two inches long and of course sharper than an actual daggers.

He thrust through the water like a bullet. After having a clear view, he dashed his way towards his friend.

The 25 meters turned to mere centimeters in a blink of an eye.

Fenty on the surface somehow managed to stand on the other end of the broken bridge.He noticed movement in the river and at that instant he pulled the shotgun that has been resting on his side pocket all the time.

Bang!bang!bang!

He fired directly towards the river,shooting at whatever that may move.

Benjamin saw bullets swimming past around them like falling of crystals.

Without thinking any further, he carried her fragile body in his palm,making sure he doesn't slice her with his claws.

Using his hyper speed,he dashed through the water like a dolphin.

Clara couldn't register all the movements that were going on around her,she had fainted due to lack of air in her lungs.

" Boss, the job is done"Fenty said after sending more than 15 bullet into water.

"I am sorry what?"

Fenty " Yes boss,they are dead."

" I told you to retrieve them unharmed.'

He brought the telephone a bit closer to his mouth when he saw the young lady coming towards his transparent door.

Fenty "But sir, Back at the warehouse you wanted us to them."

" I did? Okay…..Um. What about the skilled boy is he dead to?"

Fenty " Am sorry sir, he is dead to."

" Well then, bring their corpses expecialy the girl.It Worth millions..."

" Okay Sir Rorshan"

Rorshan"Don't mention my name in your missions, is that clear? Just call me sir."

Immediately after Fenty finished the call,he growled." Just how the heck,will I get their bodies."

Benjamin could hear her heart beat slowly. He had traveled 59 meters on water by now.

He placed her smooth body on the ground.That place was the only spot he saw.

He had promised to do whatever it takes to save her. Things we do for Love right??
