1 CHAPTER 1

Arjav was sitting on his haunches in the portico of his house,he had his iPhone XR in his right hand which he had got as a birthday present from his brother.His father was a successfull businessman named Sasi D'cruz and his mother was a school teacher named Sheela. Arjav was 15 years old and was s cool,stylish guy who was so good at reading one's mind.He was bright,thoughtful and a cunning boy.He just glances at everyone's faces and gives them a wide grin.All these qualities didn't make him a nice guy whom everyone loves.He had several problems within him which kept him doing the wrong things.

Arjav didn't knew what was going wrong With him after he had came back to India form Melbourne,Australia where he had successfully completed his school education. Back in India he was studying in a University and that was the time he had faced millions of fault-finding words from his teachers and friends.It seemed that he wasn't willing to accept the Indian education system and the syllabus.He didn't had friends.Neither anyone spent time with him nor anyone talked with him.His parents didn't knew the fact that their son was all alone in that school.Nobody knew what was happening With Arjav.He was slowly

falling into the arms of the devil like recession.

7 years back .....

Arjav along with his parents were at Melbourne.He loved that place as if it was his lifeline.He could even here the slightest of clamor in his neighborhood,he was such a circumspect who could even catch the sounds of little birds nearby,making him a boy with complete attention.When he came out of his palace like house he could feel the scenic beauty of the mother nature,it made him feel soulful,he saw the droplets of water on the leaves of nearby pine trees,it seemed to him as if the droplets of water was pieces of diamonds due to the reason that those droplets reflected sunlight and shone bright .

His parents haven't seen him this much happy ever before. Arjav's eyes always shone bright.At the night he stared at the stars just like a telescope focuses an object,he wondered if he was a star which shines bright above everyone's head.His friends considered him as a lOOOWatts bulb because of his everlasting grin,he always pursed his mouth in a self satisfied smirk.These qualities made Arjav extremely distinct from others.

He was promoted to class 9,it was his first day at St.Joseph's school,Melbourne.At first he hesitated to make friends with the Aussie children,but as time went by Arjav understood the verity that they were also nice kids to talk with.His first companion was a short and witty boy named Steve Joseph.He always enjoyed his mere presence,they together made a lot of quality plans and tried to convert them into reality,but Arjav wasn't interested in some of the plans that were put up by Steve. Since Arjav was a complete Indian boy he wasn't able to cope up with the ultra-modern English customs which made him disgruntled.

Arjav was that kind of a boy who thought that this world is filled with only good things,he didn't thought of it's wild side.After he became close to Steve,he saw the light that this world was agathokakologica1.He finally came to a point and decided to end his friendship with Steve due to a thousand reasons.The first one is that Steve didn't give value to their friendship.Secondly Steve used some words that were unfamiliar to Arjav.Because of these issues Arjav was ready to break their 'bond of friendship',but still they both talked each other and was somewhat distant friends.

Arjav was a close listener in his class,he was one of the top students as well.He loved to read comics and he wished to have comics instead of subjects like Maths.He insisted some of his favourite teachers to derive atleast 2 or 3 points from comics but they refused,since there was very little education derived from comics, teachers rarely used them as reading material due to this floccinaucinihilipilifi cation but this made Arjav dreary.Surprising1y these issues were not able to touch Arjav,as he was a boy with utmost sharpness. Arjav's teachers were always pleased by Arjav's behavior,making them praise Arjav in front of all his kith

and kin.

Technically Arjav's life was filled with bugs and glitches.His cute little smile and his round the clock speaking vanished,nobody could figure out what was going wrong with him.He wasn't friendly with his parents as before.He became some sort of a 'psychopath'. He was now a boy with different ideas and different habits,he could be now described as an 'alien'.

Yes,thoughts can overpower you but make sure your thoughts doesn't overrule you otherwise the society will give you the so called name 'psycho' or schizoid told his mother to Arjav

Since nobody knew what was going wrong with Arjav,there wasn't much his parents could do to get him out of this condition.

The half yearly examinations of St.Joseph's school was to be conducted next month(November).Arjav wasn't serious about his exams,he was in such a state where he was so lazy .Therefore his friends called him sleepyhead.But Arjav didn't take it serious as he wasn't concerned even on problematic issues.Meanwhile Arjav's parents decided to consult a psychiatrist named Dr.Jithin J.F and he was one of the top psychiatrists of the country.Surprisingly his native country was India and state was Kerala.This made Arjav's parents pleased as they could figure out the problems easily and could use their mother tongue.

Dr.Jithin asked Arjav's parents to bring him to his hospital as soon as possible and told them that there is nothing to worry about.

Following Dr.Jithin's advice Arjav's parents brought Arjav to the hospital for a screening.

Arjav's father Sasi D'cruz managed to get control over Arjav by making him believe that they are going for a picnic to Sydney.Actually they were going to Dr.Jithin's hospital at Sydney.Sasi had told a lie because he was sure that Arjav would refuse to consult a psychiatrist. Sasi whispered "it's so tough to manage a boy like this,oh God what have you done to mell"

It rained heavily on that night but Arjav wasn't dampened by that because his father has promised him to take him to Sydney even if the rain continues.

Arjav woke up earlier than usual,when he pointed his eyes at the clock it was showing 5:25AM.Arjav's face had been lit up that morning,his eyes shone bright. Staying at his doorstep he stared at the empty streets ahead.He glanced at the cactus plant in front of his house,the droplets were still stuck on its thorns.It all seemed astounding for him.He inhaled the air and he went into a mood of extreme happiness.It was the first time that Arjav felt so comfy.

Arjav was on a different mood that morning,even a small kid could understand his state of mind.When he heard his father calling 'hey son come let's go out' he was rolling with happiness.He ran out of his room in a jiffy and reached the front door within a minute.He pointed his forefinger towards an yellow SUV and said "Papa please take that car,it would give us the chill we need to get when we travel through tough terrains'.Sasi smiled a bit and said in mind 'poor kid he will soon know the fact that his life is going to take a turn to a tough terrain after years of journey through a smooth road".

They both boarded the car.Sasi pushed the start button and the car engine roared like a lion as if it was going to conquer the whole universe.Arjav's cute little smile made Sasi unpleasant because he hadn't seen Arjav happy like this before.Sasi thought 'I think nothing is wrong with my boy.but sometimes he's just like an aliens,anyway we should see Dr.Jithin'

Their car's digital speedometer clicked 140kms per hour,but Arjav's thoughts were a million times faster than his car.I would say "the thoughts of I'modern boy in the modern world"

Arjav's smile vanished when the car stopped in front of Dr.Jithin's hospital.His father opened the passenger side door for Arjav to get off from the car.Arjav slowly got out of the car.He took a final glimpse of the vast beautiful lands behind him and started walking towards the front door of the hospital.Arjav held his father's hand tightly,his father could feel Arjav's shivering and fear.Anyway Arjav decided to face the doctor wholeheartedly.

For a difference Arjav first placed his left foot on the doctor's room,he thought 'I should face this funny looking psychiatrist with fun'.

Dr.Jithin said 'hello there Arjav!!'Arjav responded by saying oh hi! Nice to meet you'.Dr.Jithin started asking Arjav some questions about his recent change in behavior. Dr.Jithin asked "Arjav, I came to know that you are gloomy and not talking with your parents like before,am I right?"Arjav replied "No,they aren't taking care of me and it hurts me so much I would say there are running behind money" Jithin felt those words like sharp thorns which were coming after him. Dr.Jithin asked "why did you change your behavior for that'.Arjav had developed a smile on his face,his mind whispered Oh,this is such a foolish question,how did this psycho became a psychiatrist.

Arjav said "My old version was too weak to withstand these problems,so I updated myself,now I'm mentally and emotionally strong enough to fight with this modern world"

Dr.Jithin was flabbergasted on hearing the small boy's words.He asked Arjav to go and play at the park which was on the left side of the hospita1.Arjav happily went out of D:.Jithin's room.Sasi D'cruz asked "why did you ask him to go out and p1ay?'Dr.Jithin with a smile on his face said 'there are a lot of kids in that park,1et me see how he behaves with theml'.This is brilliance said Sasi D'cruz.Dr.Jithin once again smiled in joy.

Arjav always said a sentence to his friends,that is 'if someone is watching you.make sure that you doesn't do anything different from your actual habits.in fact you should behave like a celebrity who doesn't spend too much time with others and just do your own things'.

Sasi D'cruz end Dr.Jithin had completely mistaken Arjav.he was a boy of the next level,he had participated in online mind reading classes and he had acquired the skill to interpret one's mind.When Dr.Jithin asked him to go out and play Arjav understood the fact that they are testing him and are eager to watch how Arjav behaves with other kids and the surroundings.Arjav's mind was whispered 'why I'm facing this kind of problems,but one day I will become the happiest kid in the whole world'

Arjav ran towards the swing in the park but unfortunately another kid was playing on it.Arjav sensed it as the best opportunity to show the doctor that he was perfectly fine.Arjav asked the boy playing on the swing in a low voice "Bro,can I play for sometime?

The boy said 'why not, I'm leaving' Arjav played at the park until Dr.Jithin end his father came.

Dr.Jithin asked Arjav "hey kid are you interested in gaming". "Nope" replied Arjav in a ridiculous manner,Dr.Jithin felt burning because that little child was handing him tough words to deal with.Dr.Jithin couldn't withstand it,he said "Arjav let's go to my cabin".Arjav happily walked to the doctor's cabin with his father.

Dr.Jithin wasn't willing to distort the words he wanted to tell Arjav. Dr.Jithin started by saying "Don't worry Sasi,he's gonna be perfectly fine in Z weeks".Sasi's face blushed in sorrow,he understood that the doctor was going to say that your son is mentally abnormal.Sasi resisted his eyes from filling up with tears.Arjav wiped off his father's tears and said in a cracked voice "oh Papa I won't let tears to come from your eyes,indeed I love you and I'm sure that nothing is wrong with me,I was acting indifferent because you and Mom weren't taking care of me and I was sure that if I act differently you guys will surely talk with me and I would have said the reason behind being indifferent".More tears came off from Sasi's eyes and his mind was filled with regret and love for Arjav.Sasi wished to slap Jithin's face but he respected his position,the position of a doctor.Arjav said "I didn't expect that you will play such a dirty trick to create a distance between me and my parents,shame of you doctor,but I still don't know why you did this to me!"

Sasi took a final glimpse of Dr.Jithin's face and went out of his room.

It was indeed the happiest day for Arjav and he understood that never change one's character for making others come near you, instead of that be genuine and open up your heart and see who are ready to help you out!

Arjav and Sasi started traveling back to their house.The jet black Porsche car's engine roared as Sasi pressed the accelerator harder.His thoughts were somewhat out of the whole world,his mind filled with remorse and shame.He had never expected this kind of things to happen.Sasi looked at Arjav's eyes and he felt something weird.His eyes were shining bright in joy and happiness.Arjav started talking to his father in a low voice,he said "papa don't feel sad for me,it's my mistake and I had to open up my mind  to you but I couldn't,I failed".Sasi replied "Eh,no son I also made a fault that is I lied to you about a trip to Sydney and misleaded you and I made you consult a psychiatrist "

Arjav replied in a sweet voice "Don't let my mom know these ugly things, she'll be broken".I know replied his father.

         Within an hour they both reached home.Sheela,his mother was surprised on seeing them back so soon and she asked "did you guys cancelled the trip to Sydney?"Arjav replied in jiffy that "mom I had a headache this morning and I didn't tell it to you,but by noon it became severe and I couldn't resist it.Hence we came back,I think I need a sound sleep,let me rest for a while"

        Arjav climbed the steps one by one.A wide grin developed on his face because his mother wasn't sad and didn't came to know the truth.In fact he loved his mom very much than anything in the whole universe....
