"Oi, system! When did I complete the mission?" Nathan was completely baffled by this.

[ When you knocked that dude out ]

"What? That guy was a warrior!" His mind went into chaos.

[ Host, do you want to receive the reward now? ]

The system didn't seem to care about Nathen's meltdown and instead went to talk about business.

He came to his senses and said. "Of course, is that even a question?"

[ Prepare to receive Combat Technique - Combat God's Wisdom(SSS) ]

"What is the- !?" He was about to say something when suddenly his brain and mind started to ache. He felt as if his soul was about to tear into pieces.

"ARGHHH!" He screamed out loud but quickly bit on the blanket to muffle his voice down. But the excruciating pain made it hard to do it.

However, he hold onto himself and finally was able to last. And in the process of that, he felt a ton of information getting engraved into his soul.

For some reason, he tossed those out of his mind and growled at the system."Oi, what was that!?"

"Did you wanna kill me? If you wanted to, then you don't have to torture me like that."

[ Host, calm down. You are getting engraved in your memory about high-level knowledge. Luckily, you passed the test and got baptized by the Void, or you might have already gone dead by now. ]

"Baptized? You mean that whole running I did for millennia?" Nathen was bewildered by the sudden information he received.

[ Yes ]

[ To be able to eat the fruit of "The Cosmic Singularity Tree," You need to have a strong will and a strong soul to receive a system. ]

"Oh, that explains." Nathan nodded his head as he understood the whole meaning now. Then, suddenly, he got scared when he thought of something. "System, will I experience the sa-!? ARGHH!!!"

He received his second reward.

However, he screamed like that instinctively, but he did not feel as much pain as he did earlier.

'Maybe my soul is used to it.'

'But, damn! It still hurts like hell.'

Shortly after, he was finished with that. He opened his eyes and saw that his body was full of sweat. His clothes were drenched in sweat.

He first went to take a shower before checking his rewards. After showering, he sat on the bed and clicked to see what those rewards were.

"That's it!? I feel like I got scammed." However, after thinking about the knowledge he had in his memory, he knew it was real.

"I hope the second one says something more." With hope, he checked the second one.

"Okay, I don't need to know how this was made, what is its origin, I only care about if it is useful or not." Nathen tossed away the hope he had to learn about interesting stuff and the lore of it.

'So, let's see this first.'

Nathen closed his eyes and looked through the Combat God's Wisdom. From it, he learned that Combat God was like him who didn't have any power.

But he managed to find a way to get stronger, a cultivation technique that anyone could use.

He immediately wanted to try it. He did a hand motion than did a few stances. Afterward, he took a deep breath and sat cross-legged.

He felt that after doing that, the pores on his body seemed to open, and he could sense the multi-colored astral energy in the atmosphere.

He sucked all of that into his body and started gathering all around his body.

A few hours went by in the blink of an eye.

Nathen opened his eyes and saw that he had broken through to Rank - 1 Elementary Battle Warrior.

He felt that his body got lighter and that energy was coursing through his body.

"It feels good." Nathen nodded in satisfaction. This manual was great, but the thing he liked the most was the experience of using various weapons, learning how to fight, and learning the things that were important in battle.

As a complete newbie, he felt those were important. He wasn't skilled at those now, but he knew he would not fumble in the future as the basics of them were engraved in his muscle memory.

'Now let's look at this.'

A gray and silver ball appeared in his hand, he looked at it curiously.

"System, how do you use this? Should I throw it at it someone else?" He flung it in the air and played catch. He felt it was light as a feather despite being made of metal.

[ You just have to drop a single drop of your blood on it, and it will recognize you as its master ]

He did as the system told him to. He bit his finger and dropped blood on it.

The gray ball started to react, it floated up and entered his body.

He was not able to react when sudden information entered his mind.

"Now I see why it is called Heart Seed." He summoned the ball back from his heart, where it settled in as its home.

It is an item that can transform into the weapon that his heart desires. However, the weapon it would shapeshift, it would take that as permanent as it was what his heart wanted. It can transform into a maximum of three kinds of weapons.

"I have to be careful about what I choose, but it will follow my heart, not my words. Guess I have to see what it transforms into." He sent it back to his heart and slumped onto the bed.

He looked at his interface one more time, as he wanted to go to sleep. For some reason, he felt very tired.
