CHAPTER ONE: THE NEW SECRETARY.

The ball of fire had turned to golden yellow and had made the colour of lake a golden tint.

The sun was rising from it's bed formed by candy clouds across the horizon.

The day dawned crisp and clear.

The light of dawn seeped into Kelly Channing's room.

Kelly Channing rubbed her blearly eyes and walked to her bedroom window where she yawned and stretched before she drew the curtains aside.

The city morning activity was just beginning as the skyscrapers were glimmering in the sun's light.

The cars were racing on the roads as people drove to work.

She had just won an interview to work at the Nolan's group as the secretary of the CEO, Xavier Nolan .

According to the rumours spreading around the town most claimed that he was very handsome but not that kind of a guy that smiled all day or cracked any jokes at work.

She still did not believe what the others said because seeing is believing.

She speculated that those were just all lies trying to ruin Xavier Nolan 's career.

Kelly Channing took a bath,brushed her teeth and then sat down at her dressing table to decide what to wear for her first day of work.

She opened the pink container where the foundation and pods were contained.

She first applied the foundation on her whole face then topped it up with some concealer and pod.

She slightly dabbed some pink blushes on both of her cheeks,applied a soft cherry red lipstick on her sachire lips,applied some mascara on her eyelashes,Kelly Channing applied some eye pencil on her eyebrows,applied a soft light pink eyeshadow on her eyes and then sraightened up her hair.

The previous day before her first day at work her friends and roommates Kaylee Declan and Mila Connor had took her out and helped her to pick some clothes and heels at the fashion mall downtown.

She opened her closet and took out a fuscia pink box plated mini skirt,a high hip flap fuscia pink blazer for ladies,a pure white fitted shirt, a pair of fuscia pink stilettos and a white mini bag.

According to her two friends, that was the best outfit she could wear on her first day at work.

She did not dare object since she also knew very clearly that she did not know how to dress formally as a ladylike lady.

Kelly Channing walked to where she was charging her cellphone,checked the time then unplugged it from the charger before switching off the switch and placing the cellphone in the mini bag.

Although their apartment was only made three bedrooms and all were taken,the girl felt very happy with seeing each other every day after work and cheering each other out.

They had rented a very expensive apartment but since they were three of them who were paid hefty salaries except for Kelly Channing it was very easy to pay the monthly rent.

Kelly Channing was now being hired inti the Nolan's group which meant she would also be paid a hefy salary like her friends and they would have more days of going out to have fun together.

She walked down the flight of stairs leading to the living room.

The living room was painted a bubblegum pink color on the walls and a pure white color on the ceiling.

The bubblegum pink tint offered a therapeutic and comfortable feeling since it matched well with the environment around the house.

There were family potraits hanged on the walls of the living room since they were a family.

The shelves in the living room held a number of books and magazines.

The brackets looked like a small library and, one can get books on different topics.

There were circular living room lamps hanged on the white ceiling.

There were two white cloud customizable sectional sofas and a glass top console table at the middle of the sofas.

The LED television was silver in color.
