CHAPTER EIGHTEEN: DINE AT THIS LATE HOUR.

"Mother you too were from a dinner with friends and arrived late at night. Did father scold you for that? I should also ask you the same question, what is there to dine at this late hour that you did not get to dine at home, or are the maids incompetent of making delicious food?" Zander Nolan asked his mother.

"You..." Maeve Parker retorted furiously at Zander Nolan but was lost for words for what he had said was completely true.

"Can you not venture into business like your elder brother?" She changed the topic due to shame.

"Why can't you venture into business instead of staying at home all day, watching television, eating, beauty sleeping and going out for dinner with those friends of yours and anyways father should be the one to ask me to join the company not you." Zander Nolan replied. He hurriedly left the room and went to his bedroom.

Corvus Nolan was just seated besides his wife going through the document that had just handed to him.

"Corvus Nolan, see how both of your sons are disrespectful towards their mother." Madison Hilton complained but Corvus Nolan pretended not to hear her.

The day dawned crisp and clear.

Kelly Channing woke up from her sleep and hurriedly prepared herself for work. She had to pick up Xavier Nolan for work. She dressed in her best, an icy blue plunging neckline with bishop sleeves, a pair of tar black official pants and then navy blue daffodil high heels.

Before she left the room, she admired herself in the mirror then left.

Her roommates, Kaylee Declan and Mila Connor were not yet awake when she left the house.

She picked up Xavier Nolan from his residential villa.

The black car still maintaining the current speed on the highway, suddenly slowed down as it closed up to the tall skyscraper towering into the sky with a name plate 'XENIA DESIGNER ' hanging outside its highest floors.

The doors to the driver's seat were opened and Kelly Channing came out, she closed the doors behind her.

She ran to the passenger's seat and opened the door.

First a pair of black sharpshooters stepped down before from it emerged a young handsome man.

He walked past the revolving doors as Kelly Channing drove off to the parking lot.

After parking, she hurriedly accompanied Xaiver Nolan in his office.

She found Xaiver Nolan already settled in the CEO'S office being served tea by a young secretary.

She sat down on the sofa and removed from the briefcase she was carrying two brown envelopes.

"I will go and inform Miss Irene Stephens that you have arrived." The young secretary excused herself. She had a name tag on her blazer with her name 'Loveday Kareem' printed on it.

She went out of the office and was seen disappearing into the corridors ahead of her where the row of elevators were.

After some few minutes she appeared following a lady who was gorgeously dressed in a red blouse, a black well fitting knee high skirt and wore a pair of golden Louboutin heels. She was carrying a black leather handbag which had the logo of the company on it showing that it belonged to Xiena Designer.

"Morning, President Xaiver Nolan." Greeted Xiena Kayden. She say down on the sofa which was opposite to the one that Xaiver Nolan was seated on except that it was separated by a glass table.

"I understand that you are currently busy with work so I will not keep you for long."

"Please read through the documents and sign where necessary and still make complaints where necessary." Xenia Kayden said, she handed Xaiver Nolan her contact and received his contract.

After thirty minutes of silence and flipping of pages in the room. Both parties sighed their documents.

"Good that you choose our company for the cooperation." Said Xiena Kayden as she had a firm handshake with Xaiver Nolan.

"Loveday Kareem, please show our guests out."

"Yes Miss." Said the young lady.
