20 Troublemaker

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are back with even more of Shawn Mendes! Here he is, with his new song 'Troublemaker'!" The host of the talk show gestured to me and my clones who were on a stage with our instruments.

I was wearing a suit brown suit jacket with a fedora on my head, a change from what I was wearing before in the interview section. My other clones were also wearing the suit jacket, but weren't wearing fedoras.

We each took a deep breath and nodded our heads at one another. This would be our first performance in front of a crowd so we were all nervous. With a countdown we began the song.

I had myself and another clone singing this song, given that there was another artist that sang with the original artist. Because of my audiokinesis I was able to change my voice to sound like the other singer.

The song finished and the crowd erupted into applause. I did a bow and merged back with my clones, I also grabbed my jacket and put it back on.

"Ladies and gentlemen! 'Troublemaker' by Shawn Mendes!" I waved my hands to the crowd and got a bigger round of applause. There were even some cheers and whistles thrown into the mix. I reached my seat and sat down next to Ms. Portman once again.

"Oh my god! That was incredible!" The host took his seat next to me again and started talking once again. "How do you do it? You've made two incredible songs with very little help from adults that have years more experience than you, yet you are able to be so much better than them."

"I wouldn't say that my songs are better than theirs, everyone has their own style on how they make their music. Mine just happens to be more popular than some of what is written right now." I went for a humble approach, trying to appease other artists that might go after me if I start getting full of myself.

"I don't know about the rest of the crowd, but I want to know if that song is going to be included in the new album you're making?" The crowd cheered their agreement to the question and I smiled to them.

"Nope, that song will not be included in the album. I'm saving those songs for a surprise, so look forward to them."

"You'll be doing 2 more interviews after this one, next week and the week after, are you going to be singing 'Troublemaker' at those two interviews or another song you've come up with?" The crowd was silent waiting for my response.

"Each of these interviews will have a unique song for them, so if you want to catch them before they go public, make sure you check out the interviews in the next couple of weeks!" The red light came on and we were out of time for this segment of the interview.

"I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen, but it appears that our time is over with Shawn. We all look forward to your future success and your concert that will be happening in the future." The host stood up from his seat and held his hand out to me. "Shawn Mendes and Natalie Portman, everyone!"

I stood up and shook his hand, the crowd cheered one last time as I waved to them. I walked off stage with Ms. Portman to the sound of 'Troublemaker' in the background. I don't know how they got it that quickly, but it was really impressive.

When we were off stage I instantly hugged Ms. Portman in excitement at having finished my first interview of many in my life. She hugged me back and even picked me up to carry me out of the building.

"You were incredible up there Shawn, I didn't even know you were able to change your voice to that extent." It was true, I hadn't changed my voice that much when I was singing my other songs, but I was always able to.

"Thanks, I was in a hurry to practice that song, now I need to practice the next song on my list." I pumped my fist into the air as we walked out of the building with security escorting us to our car. I wouldn't be taking pictures or autographs until I was older, 15 at least.

When we arrived at the orphanage me and Ms. Portman started preparing food for the other kids. To celebrate my first interview we decided to have my favorite dish, beef mince tacos! The other kids were fine with it because we grabbed out a bunch of different toppings to customize their food with.

After the food was eaten I went to the recording studio to being practicing the next song for the interview next week. I was going to be doing 'Counting Stars' by One Republic in that interview and then 'The Nights' by Avicii in the next interview.

Before I could pick up an instrument though, my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Danny, he was probably curious about the songs I would be doing for the next couple of interviews.

"Danny, how are you?" I answered the phone and spoke in a jovial tone.

"Kid, you are insane! Performing 3 songs that aren't included in the album while also making the songs that will be in the album? I don't know how you haven't suffered from burnout?" He did seem genuinely worried.

"I actually feel fine, maybe it's because of my quirk but I'm still as energetic as ever." I explained a theory for my energy, Sonorosian's did have enhanced durability and strength, so it's possible I was more energetic because of that.

"Well, just make sure you don't go passing out on me, you're too big of a star to be falling like that right now." And with that Danny hung up the call and left me to begin my practice.
