Is that your sister?

A little away from the outskirts of North Grove City, Erin and Mevern were standing in a long, long, very long line. It was around evening time and they had been in the line since early in the morning. Erin groaned as he stood there. Mevern was regretting turning into a human. Atleast as a fairy, she could nap inside Erin's pocket but now she has no choice but to stand.

"I am sooooo bored." Erin whined. The people around him only gave him grumbling looks as they felt the same way. Erin looked up in front to see what was happening. It seemed like another Merchant was going through a search. Ever since the S rank dungeon appeared, North Grove City had faced a boom in tourists, civilians, and adventurers wanting to enter the city.

Luckily unlike South Grove, North Grove City was a neutral city. Even though Government influence was present, there were also 3 middle ranked Guilds opposing them. Power rangers, Epic Troopers and Lightning Warriors. This was why adventurers were allowed in the City although they were highly pressured into joining one of the three guilds.

Due to the boom, security had gotten tighter than ever. Erin could see that the Merchant was checked in and the Line finally moved one step. Erin groaned again as he saw that there was still 4 more Carts excluding the people before he could go in. After several more excruciating hours, It was finally Erin and Mevern's turn.

"Oh thank God!" Erin yelled as he went in front of the two City Guards. The tall guard attended him while the other one took another person.

"What is your reason for coming here?"

"A visit." Erin replied. The guard nodded.

"ID's please." Erin quickly took out his own ID and Mevern's. Luckily, Erin was smart enough to register her in South Grove which was vacant due to North Grove's popularity.

The man scanned Erin's Id and raised his brow.

"Asia?" Erin nodded.

"Mother's side." Mevern looked at Erin when he said this.

"Do you only have one joke?" She asked loudly. Erin gave her a quick glare. The tall Gaurd chuckled at this interactiong before continueing his scan. He did not see anything wrong with Erin'd ID. Just another high Rank 1 personnel. He then scanned Mevern's.

The tall guard was rightfully surprised. Although kids awakening at her age was a normal practice, what was not normal was her class. The Druid class was very rare and this was the first time the guard has seen one. Since rare classes were usually the stronger ones, the guard allowed the two to pass without trouble. Before they left though, the guard tapped Erin's shoulder.

"Is that your sister?" He asked. Erin turned to Mevern and then back at the guard.

"Uh, sure."

"Well keep her safe. North Grove is not as peaceful as it used to be." Erin nodded and held Mevern's hand as they went inside.

Mevern was quickly overwhelmed by the wave of people coming and going. Erin held her hand tighter as he pushed his way through the crowd. After a while, he finally found the source of the crowd. They had entered a plaza and on top of a large stage stood 6 people. It was obvious that these people were separated into two groups. Erin could tell from their rings that one side represented the government while the other three represented each of the top three guilds.

A rigid man from the government side stepped in front of the three dominantly. He opened his mouth to speak in a commanding tone.

"This is not a favor, this is a command. Until we have properly discerned the area as safe, the Government of Clover and more largely the National Government of North America has decided to block all raids from now on. " The man turned to the crowd and activated intimidation causing everyone to freeze in fear.

"No one shall enter S rank dungeon <Doom> until further notice." The power Ranger's representative smirked coldly when she heard this.

"Isn't it odd that the order comes days before our alliance would hold a large raid on <Doom>?" The Rigid man Frowned when he heard this.

"A mere coincidence, Carlin." The man stated simply. Carlin scoffed in response.

"I am not a fool Major Kingsberg and neither are you. As a neutral city, the first clear is on equal play." Carlin then turned to the fiery vixen beside him.

"Just because you bring a major to this city does not change that fact Mayor Anelisa Kingsberg." Anelisa looked furiously at Carlin when she heard this.

"The city is changing Carlin. Deal with it." Carlin only smirked coldly when she heard this.

"I see you also realized that we three are growing everyday." Anelisa turned from furious to burning as her body exploded into a flaming tornado.

"Do you want to test your growth right now, right here?" Anelisa challenged. Carlin smirked coldly at the women before her body started to illuminate into blue hues. Ice began to spread around her as she brought out her arrow.

"Anytime, anywhere." The crowed moved several steps back as they saw this. It was not the first time, these two had gotten physical. Before anything could happen though, Carlin was blocked by the two representatives. Cara from Epic Troopers and Alfred from Lightning warriors. The Cara luckily was a Wind user and so she was able to suppress Carlin before she did anything. Anelisa on the other hand was stopped by her husband. One cold glare was enough to shrink her flames down to nothing.

Cara sighed as she saw Carlin calm down.

"This is not a official meeting. Even if it was, nothing would change. You can not stop ud from raiding <Doom> and we can not stop you either. We are leaving in 3 days and that is final. If you also want to raid the dungeon and try to steal the first clear from us, do as you wish but, I doubt you will succeed." Anelisa squinted her eyes as she heard this.

"And what would give you such a taught!?" Anelisa roared.

"If you could beat the boss, you would not be trying to block us." Alfred said coolly. Carlin smirked when she heard this.

"Indeed, You would have already gone there and gotten the monster's head. None of this surveillance for danger bullshit." Anelisa started to sweat when she heard this. Once Carlin saw this she knew they had guessed right.

"Lets go, there is nothing more to talk about. " The three left swiftly as the Anelisa stood there fuming. Her husband had known that this was the most probable outcome and did not fret.

"As you said, we will not block you and so you can not block us." Carlin and the other stopped and turned to the man.

"Just like you, in three days, we will also be raiding the dungeon." Carlin's eyes twitched a bit when she heard this.

"There are more then one entrance way anyway." Cara said calmly and pulled the two others away. The government team chose to leave as well at that moment. It was only after these powerful groups had left that the crowd could finally breath and gossip about what had just occurred.

"Oh my gosh, I thought my heart was going to burst when he looked at me!" A shaken old women said.

"North Grove is truly not as peaceful as it was a few months ago. You can't go a day without hearing these two sides trying to kill each other." A middle aged man grumbled.

"Dam it. Why did the others interfere? The Fire and Water goddess were about to fight. I had my camera out and everything!" A young man whined. Erin was still trying to process what he heard. Unlike the crowd who seemed to be used to these unofficial confrontations, this was Erin's first time in North Grove.

He had thought that he could just waltz into the dungeon and investigate around the area but sadly it seemed like he would need to change his plans. He first began by asking the waning crowd questions about North Grove and the people who had stood on the stadium. Apparently, the civilians of North Grove's biggest entertainment was this group especially Anelisa and Carlin who had ascended to goddess hood due to their heated rivalry. All was still good and peaceful until <Doom> emerged a few months ago. Luckily it was on the outskirts of North Grove were the slums resided and so, not many casualties occurred.

After the dungeon appeared, the fun rivalry turned into an intense political struggle as this was not a simple dungeon. Many guilds had been blocked from entering the city and many lives have been lost trying to clear the dungeon.

Although Erin saw that everyone still saw the whole feud as free tv, it was very obvious to them that who ever clears the dungeon first will completely change the city. If the guild alliance wins, they would probably fuse into one high ranking guild and turn Grove into a guild city and if the government wins the race, North Grove city will be a Government city like its sister territory.

As Erin thought about the two sides, he remembered the Head chief of police. Erin examined him after noticing his lack of participation in the whole confrontation. It was then that he saw a connection. Christopher Afolabi, Carlin Afolabi.

North Grove was truly free tv. As Erin finished talking to another person, he squeezed his hand only to not feel Mevern's. Erin's heart suddenly dropped.
