Chapter 11

The first groups matches ended without much surprise Sam winning every match easily. Other than him everyone was just a third circle or peak of third circle and their skills never even rivalled his, so simply put it was an over kill.

I was also waiting for next round to begin. Some will wonder why am I this exited even after knowing the outcome. To to tell the truth I was not waiting for the fight, more over waiting for the interesting drama that's going to unfold in a few moments.

To break my anticipation and boredom here she enters, the heroine of the novel, "Livia Lazell". Her dark blue hair swayed behind matching the rithm of her steps and she was holding a long pointy thin blue sword.

"Look its Livia..."

"Livia is entering!!"

Sure, the heroine had a lot of fans, her beauty and skills were top notch in the entire academy. So it didn't even take a long time for her to become a celebrity here. I don't mind her for being this famous but the problem was her father was also a duke and also had good relationship with my father. So he always boast about her to my father and my old man always complain about it. My poor father even couldn't refute back she had the skills to back it up and his son(me!!)was really pathetic at that time.

"Jacob!! do your best!!!"

Yup, it was Jacob, the one who always try to bully Sam. Though he never succeeds. One of the reason he always try to bully Sam was Livia. Jacob admires Livia and had a little crush on her. So what he really hated was Livia showing affection towards Sam. By the way, the one who cheered for for Jacob was his lackey.

"Oh! look, its your childhood sweet heart"

"..."

Indeed, Alice opened her mouth when I least expected to be.

"Why do you keep saying that? I told you I am already over it"

My eyes narrowed down at her.

"I just wanted to see your reaction, that's all"

Again she said it with a nonchalant look.

"See my reaction? You are still interested in mu reaction even after spending all your time with me for a whole month?"

She looked at me with a smile and said.

"You can't complain. Your reactions are always interesting"

"You have a weird hobby, don't you?"

"..."

"..."

"So, what else do you found about me?"

"That you're a loner and...."

"Stop it there! Lets pretend I didn't ask that question"

I kind of regret asking that question without thinking. And she is saying it so straight. Don't she know it hurts?

"I will defeat you here and defeat that looser Samuel in the next round!!!"

Oh the drama, sorry the fight has already began. And to declare something like that? I mean I can't complain cause like me he has already reached the fourth circle yesterday. I would have said he had the power to back his words if it was anyone else opposite to him.But... to challenge the heroine like that....

Jacob raised his long spear toward Livia. The spear wasn't ordinary as it had a mana crystal at it center which will help him to control his mana efficiently. Blue mana covered his spear and when he thrust it towards the ground spears of earth moved towards Livia at a top speed from where his spear were hit.

Boom!!

A small explosion broke out when Livia blocked his attack with ice wall. I can see the sword in her hand glowing faintly. Must be also a mana channeling device. But it wasn't glowing as much as Jacob's did and that is because her mana control was higher than his. Good, she deserves to the heroine. I nodded while closing my head.

"Are you getting impressed by that?"

Alice asked seeing my strange behaviour.

"Why do you care?"

I try to ignore her again.

"I am clearly better than her....."

It was weak, but I clearly heard her.

"What was that Alice? I couldn't hear you clearly"

I was hoping for a chance to tease her. But she is clearly ignoring me now.

"..."

So I once again decided to pay attention to the fight going on. Jacob was attacking Livia with a barrage of earth magic and sometimes use his spear to attack her, but none reached Livia. She just kept blocking and sometimes attack.

"I had it enough!! Tell me Livia Lazell, why did you like someone like Samuel and hate me so much? What good qualities he have that I don't???"

Ah... he was really loosing it I guess.

"Huh?You had some good qualities?"

She said it straight to his face while acting like an air head.

"..."

"..."

All the stadium was silent now. No one could digest what was happening infront. Jacob felt like an idiot. His crush just completely crushed him.

"And Samuel, he is so handsome, domineering and cool...."

She just realised what she was spurting out. Even her ears became red in embarrassment. I am sure, even the calm and cool headed Sam would be burying his face inside his hands blaming his girlfriend.

"Ice prison!!"

Livia used one of her strongest attack to trap Jacob inside. And when he came to his senses and broke out her sword hilt hit behind his head knocking him out. Livia sprinted out even before they announced the winner.

"Pfft.... "

I was really trying hard not to laugh. Tear drops formed on the corner of my eyes and my stomach began to hurt now.

"You are laughing? I thought you would be sad because she openly declared something like that"

Was she hoping That I will be feeling down because Livia openly declared love for Sam? May be she was. But she seemed to be more relieved now for some reason.....
