Her simple life

" I am home " Ammu said.

" Are you ok" her mother asked she had heard the news about the riot and she was trying to call her but she couldn't reach her.

" I am fine Mumma, look nothing happened" she said and turned around for her mother so she can see that she is absolutely fine and there is nothing to be worried.

Her younger sister came and hugged her, her bonding with her sister was astonishing because they were like best friends which is rarely seen these days.

Her sister was afraid after hearing the news about the riot but when she saw her sister safe and secure, she couldn't stop her tears because she was so happy.

Ammu's sister was two year younger than her but Ammu always treats her as a little kid.

After making sure that she is fine, her sister Ellen asked her " what happened and how she got home safely".

Ammu said "relax it's a long story and I will tell you everything but I am starving so we should eat first".

Ellen understood and went to prepare for dinner with her mother, in the mean time Ammu took a bath.

Ellen arranged the dinner on the table and they started eating together but Ellen was curious because she can feel there is something fishy, so she asked Ammu " tell us now".

Ammu knew about her sister's nature, right now she is making a lot of wild stories in her mind.

So Ammu said " ok the thing is you are over excited, nothing happened. I hid in an old building and when everything calmed down I came out and reached home safely".

" seriously "????? Ellen asked.

Ammu's mother believed her so she didn't ask anything else, it was a relief for Ammu because it's hard for her to tell lies to her mother.

But she doesn't know why but she couldn't tell her about that stranger.

Ellen was watching her intently and she didn't buy anything Ammu was saying, she can feel there is something Ammu is not telling them.

But she thought its not the time, she will ask her when they both will be alone.

After finishing dinner Ammu was washing the dishes, Ellen came in the kitchen and she was looking at Ammu suspiciously.

Ammu looked at her and she knew what Ellen was thinking. So she gestured Ellen to keep shut her mouth and she will tell her everything truthfully when their mother will go to sleep.

Ellen nodded her head and smiled at Ammu because she thought ' yes I was right, there is a story'.

Later at night Ammu told her sister everything about that riot and that stranger.

" Do you know his name"? Ellen asked

"No, he didn't tell me I asked him many times but he said I can call him by any name I like and his name is not important". Ammu replied

" Oooooo this is so mysterious, a stranger came to your rescue and take you home safely and then disappeared" Ellen said.

" Oh and there is one thing, actually it's a strange but funny thing when I was asking him something he said he is just an old man but he was looking like a 18-20 year old boy how can he say that, even he was damn serious about it" Ammu said.

After listening Ammu Ellen fell into deep thought.

After thinking for a while Ellen said" ummmm, this is strange but I can feel there is a connection between both of you so I am sure, you will meet him very very soon" and winked at Ammu.

Ammu shook her head and smiled at her sister's childish behaviour.

Next day, Ammu was late for her work and she saw 10 missed calls on her phone, the instant she saw that, she knew the two devils are waiting for her.

The two devils Nitya and Pari, her best friends forever. They were childhood friends and now they were working for the same company 'LPM' it was a publishing company and Ammu was an article writer, Nitya and Pari was in HR department.

When she reached her company she saw Nitya and Pari were waiting for her at the gate.

" Hey" Ammu said.

" Hey? are you serious where were you last night do you know how scared we were, we were calling you after hearing about the riot but couldn't reach you but thanks to Ellen, she knew how much upset and stressed we were, so she called and told us that you had reached home and you are fine" Pari said.

" Are you ok"??? Nitya asked.

Pari was a nonchalant person and Nitya was the serious one but today Pari was also looking serious.

So Ammu tried to calm them down and told them everything about last night.

They were sitting in the cafeteria and when they heard Ammu's story Pari forgot where she is and screamed in excitement and stood up, Nitya pulled her back everyone was looking at them.

" Behave yourself " Nitya said.

Pari ignored her and said " He is your prince charming".

" No, don't trust anyone so easily think about it why he didn't tell you his name" Nitya said.

" Right, I can't trust him, he is a very strange person and who knows maybe we will never meet again so there is nothing to be worried" Ammu said.

Nitya and Pari thought about a moment and nodded their head.

That was her friends caring and loving, she was lucky to have a family and friends like that.

It was her simple life and yesterday's incident was an exception, it will never happen again.

She was happy in her life in which she have these loving people, she doesn't want any adventure in her life.

But she had no idea what would happen next.
