The Hunter and The Prey

Lia's face scrunched up almost immediately from hearing this shrill voice at her back. It was almost a reflex for her to react as for the most part the bad memories she had gave away.

She held back her urge for rolling her eyes at this bad encounter that somehow she predicted will soil her mood a lot. Lia was almost drowning in her quietude of a blessed Sunday when she clench her hands at the clothes she was holding in her hand.

Her brows twitched with her eyes showing slight irritation. Her lips pursed into a thin line when she first heard the voice and then after a moment her lips curled up into a charming but scary smile. Her smile almost gives you the impression of the old queen who anxiously waited for Snow White take a bite at the poisoned apple she gave her.

The irritation in her eyes diminished almost immediately.

She calmly put the clothes back into the rack and turned around with her smile still.

"Oh, I didn't expect to accidentally bump into you, Thea." Lia said to the rushing woman to whom the shrill voice originated from.

By the time Lia finished her sentence the woman named Thea already stood in front of her. She was still driven with obvious shock, whilst looking Lia up and down just to confirm something. Lia let her be with her smile still, a small glint of ridicule flashed to her eyes.

Just when Thea scrutinized Lia to her full contentment while she muttered something under her breath unaware that Lia somehow had heard it. "Sneaky stinking dirty bitch"

Lia held back the urge to clap at her face due to the fact that someone in Julia's life had ever described her with a three word adjective. (1)

Lia being the sarcastic person she is, was actually very calm on the outside. If people knew less, they would have thought Lia accidentally bumped into a close friend of her's which made her all so ever merry. No dark emotions was displayed on her beaut face, but her smile just furthermore intensified. It was a perfect facade to mask her anger and irritation on the inside.

In the past before she became famous in their company, Lia often took delights in confronting people who underestimated her quickly. Call her mad or creep, but she is actually excited at the events that is about to unfold.

She always took one lesson she learned upon the hard life in the society and that is ' A hunter needs to be patiently invested on it's prey '

She did admit that in her personal life she was not the least bit patient. But whenever things like this takes place, somehow she transforms into a very patient hunter hiding in the bushes silently, observing it's prey in the dark. At most she likes to keep silent at first and let the person berate and berate her more while she's still smiling. She's very much amused that the longer she stays quiet the more chances she will destroy and rip her prey apart with the right stroke of time. (2)

She stood at a very languid stance with her 'pleased' smile in front of Thea. ' As much as I can remember, I have a looottttt of grudges towards you.' Lia recalled certain memories inside her mind. This Thea woman standing in front of her was the culprit why she always had deduction on her salaries, leaving her even more struggling with the harsh feedback of her poor circumstances.

'If I were Satan, I would have immediately crowned you the Queen of Sloth, you damned Parasite.' Lia silently muttered in her mind. It's quite scary to see her say these words in her mind while displaying a gentle smile on her face.

This Thea would always throw her the jobs assigned by the head manager - which was Ms. Kay. She always reasoned to Lia to just do it because her arms hurt. She would often spite Lia if she ever rest, which left Lia torn between multiple task that were doubled because Thea keep throwing her's into Lia's cart.

In the first place, this girl didn't do any kind of work but still received her pay. And whenever Lia did a good job in completing a task that was given to Thea, that girl would receive a raise that she didn't deserve. It was then that her harassment intensified.

One time, Lia gathered her courage to speak up that she can't do her tasks anymore because her's was increasing without even a single cent's raise, Thea threatened Lia that her father was a producer in the company.

Another one was when Thea accidentally learnt the truth why Lia became an assistant and she harassed her even more to the point that she said 'Why don't I recommend you a producer or manager to sleep with? Oops their tastes wouldn't certainly be that bad.'

She was implying she wasn't even fit to be slept with due to her appearance. After that day Thea would 'help' her at many ways, including making Lia sit beside sleazy lewd managers making Lia deal with so much fear and anxiety that she would always cry whenever she came home. And what's much worse she had no one to tell all about this because she was all alone in the city.
