Hunt

I took the sword of light and walked towards a forest to find monsters.

The forest is pretty much like a forest on earth but there is a lingering eerie feeling that I keep feeling.

As I am new to this world, I will play it safe and observe first.

I picked a lot of fruits and berries and laid it on a trail leading under a tree where I am hiding.

Several minutes later I saw a monster that looks like a wild boar but definitely not a normal one. It has three horns on top oo its head. It looks deadly but I think I can still kill it.

I jumped down with my sword pointing on its neck. The sword easily went through its neck and a loud shrieking sound left out by the boar. I immediately pull it out and moved away from the boar. It bled a lot of blood and it is no longer moving.

I carried the boar and went outside the forest.I checked my skill status to see if the boar I killed is considered a monster.

The boar counted as a monster. I now need 9 more to kill.

I went back to the forest to test the different animals or insects that I see if they are counted as a monster.

To my findings, animals that can kill me is counted as a monster. A butterfly is not a monster, an ant is not a monster, and a bug is not a monster. A deer is also not a monster. Monsters that I have killed are snakes with fangs, pig with horns, a scary wolf-like animal.

I noticed the difference when I was killing a frog. I killed a normal frog, but it didn't count as a monster. I killed another frog, which can spit acid and it counted as a monster.

A notification popped on my head that says, "Congratulations, teleportation gate skill is unlocked."

I read the skill, and it is different from what I have before.

Teleportation Gate Skill -- LVL 1

This skill lets the user teleports from one location to the other. Maximum distance 1km. Destination must be marked first before you can teleport.

What kind of crappy skill is that. That skill in the game is so different. I can use it to wherever I visited. Now I can only teleport to one location?! It also has a level now. Maybe it will upgrade in the future, who knows. 

I marked the area outside the forest. I tested the skill and it was successful.

I then returned to the forest to find water and fruits that I can eat. I tested the fruits to an animal first to see if it is edible and not poisonous. I also took the meats of the monster that I butchered to clean it. It quite took a lot of time and then I used my skill to get back outside the forest.

I tried to create a fire manually using sticks and dry leaves. I used my sword to scrape wood dust and fibers from a stick. It took me a while but then I succeeded.

I cooked the meats, barbecue style. Then took my time to create an artificial tent with bed. I used sticks and grass to make it.

The night came.

I am thinking where I should sleep. The tent and bed that I created is too shabby and one attack of an animal will definitely destroy it. It is not safe to sleep like that. But the area has no animals or monster. I am not risking it.

I could also sleep on a tree inside the forest, but I think it is also not a good idea because of the poisonous animals or monster.

So, I stayed awake all night.
