Chap-20 A letter from his majesty

It was after a month that I finally got to know the directions and rooms of the house. It was clearly a large mansion, extravagant though. It also looked expensive, even the library, it consists of hundreds of books on each topic. I wonder how much time and money Athancius spent on this mansion.

That reminds me, all the former nobles of this territory have been removed, they were greedy you know, and new Marquises, counts and barons have been appointed, they are quite serious with their work, so much that, father now only had to sign papers and tell weather something regarding the territory should be done or not, unlike the past, where he was doing the work of all the other people. Because of this, he's more free nowadays as the other 'dedicated to territory' noble, are doing their works properly.

Lately, there's nothing much to do for me too now that I have known all the places within and outside this mansion.

"Haah! Liranda, dad said that I would get my formal education started soon. So when would 'soon' arrive? "

"My miss, you are still a child, you should Play more and worry less about studying." Geez... The more days she spends with me, the more I find her motherly. I guess Athancius didn't choose her at a whim after all.

What now? "Come in" butler comes in and says ,"young miss the grand Duke wants to see you"

Suddenly? Is he Planning to mess up with around me at a time like this? Is he seriously serious? Hah! But what right do I have in front of him? I have to go.

I ask Liranda to carry me there. I'm really bored of walking. Its good to be a child, you get the privilege of being carried. I was then dropped off at the front door of the study. I was really bored to go, but still, I had to meet that old man.

I get inside to find out that father was waiting for me holding a letter in his hand. What was that for?

"Father why did you call me?"

"A letter has arrived for you from the imperial palace" *shock* imperial palace you say? But why all of a sudden? Did something happen that would shock everyone? Or did I do something?

"Do you know what's it about" I asked.

"Open the letter and find out."

"But why did you wait for me? Its from the imperial palace."

"You don't open others letters, they are bad manners. Don't you know?" I'm from modern times Mr. I won't know letter ettiquates. Well whatever, I guess I have to open it.

I opened and read the letter. It was written in a round about way, but the main material was that Claude wanted to see me because I was much of a hot topic in the social circles nowadays. I was obviously known as the grand Duke's beloved Daughter but in a month too, I made people fall for my charms, wherein, I took some desicions for them rationally and was regarded as an intellectual. I guess, these gossips also spread, right? No wonder that guy wants to see me. But should I really go now of all the times?

"His majesty wants to see me as I'm a hot topic now a days in the capital and the empire."

"Do you want to go and meet him? It's ok you have to decide, because it's for your future. Its fine even at the end of the day you go to meet him or decide to refuse the invitation. I would always be by your side, my child." Oh God! This is a dalima between the two brothers, one of them for sure would get upset. Athancius might not show it but SERIOUSLY he doesn't want me to meet Claude. What should I do? Should I go or leave the offer?
