I always wanted to create a new side and character of Athancius as he was shown fatherly to Jennete, though being bad. I hence thought to create this story line and was overwhelmed to know that my story was liked by so many of you. So please continue to support me in the future too. Your vote is appreciated...

JUDITH'S POV:-

"Hm? The bed is moving?"

I opened my eyes to find an unfamiliar moving ceiling. Wait am I kidnapped? Oh no!

(author:-here we go again)

"Its not the bed silly, its the carriage."

I get up to see Athancius in front of  me."I thought you would sleep for more two to three hours considering how late you went to sleep yesterday night." Geez... Do you have to say that?

"And the fact that you didn't even wake up and were sleeping like a horse even when the maids were changing your clothes made me think that you were dead."

Can you please stop. You are pissing me off father. Hey wait! I didn't notice that my clothes were changed. The maids are really skilled I should say. "Then why didn't you wake me more forcefully? I was a traveller back then, so I was used to sleeping in the forests, where there were constant noises and other disturbances. Ofcourse I would be a hard sleeper. Geez... Father I never thought you would be this scared to wake up your daughter from her peaceful sleep."

"I was never scared, I told that Liranda girl to put cold water on your face if you were unable to wake up. But she in turn reprimanded me saying that I should not be too harsh on children. I wonder whom she was referring to? Because there is not an ordinary 5 year old present in front of me."

"Father! I'm an ordinary 5 year old."

"Normally the 5 year olds won't dare to talk in front of me, forget about talking back. You were the first one to do so. Ofcourse you are not a normal 5 year old."

No wonder all the maids were shocked that day. But...

"Where are we going?"

"To the Klien's territory."

"To the Klien's... What? The huge territory of the Klien's that takes over whole cold north and the cool and considerably warm east? That Klien's territory? Why all of a sudden? Huh? Why didn't you tell me? "

I didn't notice it at first, but due to this shock, I had already got down from my seat and was holding father's collar. Gee, I'm so angry at him. He should have told me right, I would have prepared better and would have also seen whole of the mansion in which we were staying for 3 days. Why's this guy in such a hurry?

"You Seriously want to get slapped on your face by me one day right? Get down and don't stand on my head." He's pissed off to. But I'm more angry.

I get down and then sit beside him. With a very demanding look,I say"tell me".

He sighs a bit while frowning and says that,"the Dukes and the grand Duke is given a specific territory to rule on and that the emperor only takes the final decisions. They are all independent of each other, but then, in the grand Duke's territory, the emperor is not allowed to take any desicions and we both are independent rulers of our areas. Claude is of the south and west, while we are of the north and east. We are his subordinates only in name, but in reality, the policies that Claude puts in his area or the decisions he takes in there, are not applicable in the grand Duke's territory and vice versa. So I had been planning to come to that town for a few months now and once the task for which I came was over, then I would go back. This was a one month trip and I had to squeeze out time from my duties as the grand Duke for the same. I was supposed to stay in there for a day only, but because of you, I got delayed by two days. In my territory, every minute matters and hence, for the next few days, I would be busy with the grand Duke's work as I was delayed in here, so piles of paper would have been stuffed in my office while at night I even have to work as Athancius, to plan for my future wherein I would strike back at Claude to gain what was rightfully supposed to be mine. "

This gave me chills. I almost forgot that he was the former crown prince Athanasius, because of the father that I see inside him...

"So now you would be burried in your office as you were delayed because of me for a few days and that because you took over two dukedoms, your work as that of a grand Duke had increased, wherein you should do both the Duke's work while they rest in peace in the heaven?"

Geez... Why not appoint subordinates?

"Must my daughter put it this way?"

"Must my father not appoint subordinates in any way."

"I took over the two dukedoms by force. Whom do you think would support me?"

"Do they know that you have played behind the scenes?"

"Nope. I made sure to take over the Dukedoms in a very natural way such that nobody, even Claude would doubt on me being Athancius and taking over the Dukedoms by playing behind the scenes."

"Then why do you think that nobody will trust you? Try trusting others for atleast once, distribute work to the Marquises, counts,viscounts and barons of the territory as you see fit. Why do you intend to take on the burden alone?"

"Ah! That! I never thought about it. I should thank my daughter for the idea." And then he smiled. Idiot. This was common sense and those lazy bums should get work before they think of you as a push over.....
