8 Chapter 8: Millefiore Famiglia vs Tepes Clan (II)

Felicia, Luca, and I are running through the forest near Bucharest. Felicia keeps releasing her flame to ensure others cannot feel or hear our movement. Her Rain Flame ensures that we do not make any noise and hides our presence.

We are hunting down the smaller group that stays northeast of our temporary base. We continue through the forest before I raise my hand to signal a stop.

"We are here," I announce.

I say that as my Sky Flame senses the invisible dome around this area. I gently let my sky flame measure the dome and nod my head. The barrier is not strong, and Luca can destroy it using his flame.

"Felicia, can you spread your Rain Flame and create a second dome? We will destroy the barrier and let your Rain Flame wash over them, weakening them," I instruct.

"Of course, my lord," she replies.

I feel her rain flame spread across the forest. Among the rainbow flames, Rain and Mist are the two that are very effective at concealment and assassination. Mist Flame coats can fool someone's senses, flame, and, I think, magic, while Rain Flame coats someone to make them blend with their surroundings.

I shake my head and feel Felicia is done with her preparation. I look at Luca and say, "Luca, destroy it."

"With pleasure, boss!" he responds.

He points one of his pistols and presses the trigger. A second later, the storm flame spreads and consumes the barrier. I can see twenty vampires look at us in surprise as we discover their secret base.

"Attack!"

The three of us charge at the twelve vampires. I confront three vampires and send my animal box to the first and second one while I take care of the third. I swing my sword and watch as he blocks my attack using his claw.

As expected of a vampire, their bodies are tougher than humans. That attack could cut through a human's bone. I jump away when he swings his hand at me and see his attack make a crack in the ground. I point my pistol at him and fire five flame bullets at him just as he dodges them all. However, as he lands on the ground from dodging my attack, I dash forward and thrust my katana at him.

This time, I enchant my sword with Sky Flame, and I can see it inflict a lot of damage. As he tries to block my attack, instead of escaping unscathed, his arm gets burned by the flame, and I can see his bone exposed as a result.

He jumps away, but I do not let him rest as I continue to fire my gun at him.

He roars and creates a barrier using his magic to block my attack. My bullet hit the barrier and created a massive crack on the barrier. It did not destroy the barrier, but it was enough for me to dash forward and destroy it using my sword.

"Annoying bug!"

He roars as he creates five magic circles, and a second later, five fireballs fly toward me. I smile a little and clap my hands. A white flame comes out of my clap, and suddenly, all the fireballs disappear. He looks at the result in shock and lets me arrive in front of him while thrusting my sword at his heart.

My sword pierces through his body, causing him to snap from his shock. He tries to get away. However, before he can do that, I push my sky flame through my katana and burn him from the inside.

After defeating him, I look to the side and see that the others have already summoned their animal box to fight alongside them. I take a deep breath and join the fight. I run with all my strength and jump high to appear in front of the vampire that is attacking Felicia from the sky.

I swing my sword, but instead of cutting off his head, the vampire manages to dodge at the last moment, and I only get his arm. He screams and points his magic staff at me, and prepares to attack me. However, before he can cast anything, I shoot him using my pistol.

He screams as my bullet hits his body. He clutches his body as he falls to the ground. When I land on the ground, I shoot him to make sure he dies and then shoot the vampire that is about to jump at Luca. The vampire blocks my bullet but he does not notice Luca release a powerful Storm Flame blast.

With my katana in hand, I dash forward and attack the five vampires my animal box is attacking. My black dragon multiplies into ten and holds the vampire in place. I order my white dragon to get close and condense it into a spear made of pure sky flame.

I throw the spear at them and kill three of them in a single throw, then dash forward. I swing my sword and release a massive crescent-shaped sky flame that burns the vampires into dust.

I am about to help the others but stop myself when they are already done with their fight. They look at the vampires on the ground in disgust before looking at me.

"Let's get out of here. The others will be here soon."

"Yes, my lord~"

"Yes, boss!"

The three of us start to run away from the area, leaving nothing but destruction behind. We are not warriors that fight head-on. We are the hunters that hunt the vampires.

Serghei grits his teeth as his men slowly get killed when they leave the group. He did not like the situation. He is supposed to be the hunter but at the moment, he and his group are the ones getting hunted by the enemy.

He did not like doing this but called all his army to gather in one base and stay here for the past four days. He cannot lose more personnel in this mission and needs to change his search method.

He captures a group of magicians in Bulgaria and tortures them so they cooperate with them to locate his prey.

"My lord! We managed to get the location!"

Serghei snaps from his thoughts and looks at his right-hand man walking toward him with a grin on his face.

"What is it, Octavian? What is the location?"

Octavian nods and takes out the map from his pocket.

"Here is the general location of their hideout. They are outside the city, near the river. The prisoner manages to do a powerful divination spell that shows us the general location of their base."

"Perfect! Prepare the boys. We will go on the offensive."

"What about the prisoner?"

Serghei releases a smile full of teeth and says.

"We shall have a feast before battle. Tell the chef to prepare the meat and drink! It's been a while since I ate meat full of mana."

"Of course, my lord."
