(Chapter 5) Fox Meets Dragon

"Yawn" As a small figure stretched, her leg spasming for a bit before she moves out of bed. Turning to grab her wooden kuni right after sliding her feet into her slippers. Groggily she makes her way towards the rest room to brush her teeths. she passed One of the only two servants her Grandfather had who made way for her as they moved about doing chores. They always wore this strange masks which made it difficult for her to tell what they were.

Finally making it to the rest room she meet her grandpa how also looked groggily. Climbing the step ladder next to him. she tugged on his sleeve and waited for a sec as he passed her, her tooth brush. There for the next minute the spent in since cleaning. As he passed her a cup of warm water to rinse her mouth. Now came the annoying part, having to open her mouth as she grabbed some string and began to floss her teeth.

"Yuno come help Ayumi bathe" command as he tossed the string into the trash. his freshly wet hair had gained far more grey hairs over the years though he had as he looked one more time in the mirror. As the servant appeared bowing before him. he existed the room as she made her way in and helped the young lady, Closing the door behind him. Normally one of the clans members would be helping her wash but now it had to be hired help. Even at a young age she needed her privacy he was adamant about it.

"Alright I can do this" Clapping his face with both of his hands to remove what tiredness remained before heading into the kitchen. The previous cook had made a fuss when he decided to make breakfast for Ayumi every morning, which he had ended up firing for. Spending time with her was hard given his work so what ever moment he could spend with her even if he wasn't a great cook was better then nothing.

Well.... he couldn't be that bad he though as Ayumi seemed to enjoy it. A smile on his face as he thought about it. Further away in the halls stood the second servant. Looks like we will have to sneak her something else to eat again. they replied to themselves as the smell of burned eggs began to fill the house. Sighing they moved to open the slide door, just as a gust blew the fresh morning air in. The rising sun rays caressing all it touched. As they looked out passed the garden and towards the village.

"Tap Tap" noise was gently heard as the bamboo pipe filled with water before falling down on the rock and spilling the water into the pawn. What kind of gift would the young madam want? Last year they had gifted her a set of wooden ninja tool's, that bright smile of joy she had really made life better. Memories of how they had gotten this position was a constant reminder of how grateful they were to the Lord and little lady. Turning to return to there duty they moved to open each slide door available.

"Grandpa!" A energetic ball darted I to the room dressed in a grey shirt and Black shorts. her hair neatly tide into a ponytail, with a pair of dark eye covers glasses on her forehead. Smiling as she sat down to eat. The toast bread was the only thing that had come out right thought the servants as they stood on ether side of the room. One moved to fill there glasses with warm milk.

"Grandpa are we going to the park today!" Ayumi asked bouncing on the spot.

"I Don't know maybe if you eat your breakfast" He teased her. "And don't rush wouldn't want you to choke again" he said sternly as she was about to shove everything into her mouth. Pouting she slowed down. This gaining a chuckle from him, He know the reason she wanted to go to the park. And it made him a bit sad, she wanted to play with the other kids her age but he had prevented it up until now. He was worried and knew that the servants couldn't replace those desires of hers.

As they finished their meal he gathered his tools and head band. As he made his way towards the main door, Ayumi was already waiting for him with her eye cover glass on. She had already placed her slippers off her slippers and was currently in her shoes. He proceeded to switch his and as he opened the door she rushed forward laughing while waiting at the property gate. Many villagers were going about there business. some pulling carts others with bags of items. And some Ninjas, ranging in age and rank. As he reached her he offered his hand quickly she grabbed it and both made there way down the road.

Ayumi was super excited her eyes looking over the stores as she walked with her grandpa. They had to make a few stops not that she really minded. One was at the ninja tool's shop. There she had left go of his hand and was busy looking at all the different type of weapons. Some were weirdly shaped Kuni's, there was that really weird one shaped like bats. A variety of throwing stars, what seemed to be a stick with a smaller one sticking from it's side. She watched as a young genie was testing those. shifting it from long end to short with just a twist of the side bit. Not to mention of the different types of swords and different weapons.

"Ayumi come" Her grandpas voiced called her from the front of the store. She rushed over as the shop owner gave her a wave. Waving back before grabbing her grandpas hand again. and once more they were off into the crowded road. She did manage to convince her grandpa to buy her some dongo while the stall owner also tried to help. She munched on her stick of dongo as she looked up to see him doing the same. She smiled at him as they both broke into laughter.

Finally they had reached the park and there she saw kids running around and playing, having finished her snack her grandpa had let her go. He sat under on of the tree as she rushed to go play. As she reach them "Hey can I play with you guys?" Nervously she asked as they seemed to ignore her. Again she asked this time a different group but again was ignored.

pov: Hayai

From under the tree Hayai was watching and each time he watched her being rejected the more annoying he became.

"Hey isn't that Orochimaru's daughter" He heard people gossip, They hadn't noticed him as the where further ahead. "Can't believe that it would show itself her after what it's father did." Another one commented.

What the hell that Disgusting snake was not her father he through making his way over to those gossiping people. He noticed a yellow haired boy making his way towards Ayumi. "Where did you hear such a lie like that!" He demanded as he stood Infront of the gossiping parents. The looked at him with fear as they had not expected him to be there. "W-who... else c-could be her father..." As large woman stammered. "Y-yeah... I mean how else would her skin be so white..." Another commented. The anger visible growing on his face.

"Have you forgotten about my wife, she also had white skin!" He stated while his skin turned a shade of purple. As this was happening Ayumi turned to look at the boy who had called to her.

"Would you like to play with me?" He asked while looking towards the ground. his bright yellow hair and sad blue eyes looked towards her feet as if expecting her to say no.

"I'd love to " She said sniffing as she lifted her goggles to clean her eyes.

"Wha! No didn't cry" He said trying to calm her down with a bright smile patting her back. "I'm Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki.

"Ay..Ayumi Kure" She replied while smiling as she quickly covered her eyes. And off they were playing together.

pov: Hayai

"I don't know where you hear such a lie but that filthy snake was not her Father." He stood his ground as the backed away calling their children to leave. Turning in frustration he say Ayumi playing with Naruto. Remembering what had happened when he tried to adopted the boy and how much push back he got. it was strange and something that had always been in the back of his mind. First he was blocked on adopting the boy and then someone had leaked that he had the nine tails in him.

He watched them for a few hours, Ayumis bright smile as they chased each other. "Grandpa, this is Naruto he's my first friend!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Hello Naruto" He smiled an gently smile as the boy looked up nervously at him.

"Uh.. hello.." it almost sounded like a whisper as he spoke to him.

"Can Naruto come eat with us" Ayumi pleaded as she held his hand. A visible tik on his forehead as he looked down on them holding hands.

"Sure dear" he said as he picked her up. "Come Naruto what do you like to eat?" He asked with a much calmer face now that they were not holding hands.

" Ramen" he said with a goofy smile.
