After almost a day had passed, Aldric woke up with red eyes and was panting hard, his hand clutching his chest. Facing the sky, he asked the system, "W...wh....what happened to me?"

"What now? There's even a success rate?" said Aldric in utter disbelief.

"Voidreaper," said Aldric. The dagger dropped into his hands. It was 11 inches in size, with a blade dyed in the color of the night sky - dark but pleasantly blue - and a handle in universe black with star-like pointed dots.

"This name is perfect for it," thought Aldric. He then played around with his dagger. "Basic dagger technique gained," displayed the system. At this point, Aldric wasn't shocked anymore because he had come to understand that all of this was due to the system. Over the past few days, Aldric had learned a little bit about the system and how much it could help him. He had previously gained some sword skills while hunting the hound rabbits, so it was expected that he would gain skills related to daggers as well.

Aldric then proceeded to extract the mana core from the Naga's body. It was located below its neck, and he made a deep cut on the Naga's body to retrieve it. The mana core was larger than Abyss's head in size.

Author's Note: Mana cores are present in every creature in Warna, whether it is a human or a creature. They are usually located below the neck and near the heart.

Aldric placed the mana core on a nearby boulder and said, "Absorb," directing his sword towards the mana core. He soon heard the voice of the system alerting him not to leave the area until the sword absorbed the mana core.

Just a dozen seconds had passed when Aldric heard the system's voice again in his head, saying, [Congratulations to the user on removing the first restriction on the Runeshard Blade. New abilities unlocked: Rune Slash, Rune Burst (ability ranks cannot be determined).]

"Finally!" shouted Aldric. With the sword leveling up, he saw a beacon of hope. Before, he didn't know how much time it would take to level up his sword or if it was even worth it, but now he knew.

"System, give me details on these abilities," said Aldric.

"Wait, what are these? Are they my skills?" said Aldric while rubbing his eyes.

"These skills are too overpowered. It's like someone is trying to make me a hero in some story or something," said Aldric, feeling a mix of awe and disbelief.

After admiring his new skills, Aldric looked at the Naga's mana core, which still had more than half of its energy remaining. "Should I absorb it for myself?" pondered Aldric, his eyes filled with greed.
