28 Ch 28- Captured

Casey stayed on the bed sulking; Mac noticed his unusual behavior and walked over to sit on the edge of the bed. "What's wrong Casey? You look a bit upset". Casey raised his face from the pillow and saw Mac's gentle and doting expression and didn't hold back.

"Turns out I'm already engaged and promised to another person since birth". Mac's expression froze for a moment and he looked at Casey incredulously. "We'll if it's not something you want can't you just break the engagement?".

For a moment Mac didn't know what to say and didn't really want to comfort Casey either, his heart felt very heavy. As he listened to Casey talk his mood sank further.

"It's actually not all that bad though, my selected mate is actually Alec! At least it's not someone bad, right? I'm just not sure how to act around him now, I've never thought much of romantic relationships so I'm not confident I would make a good partner".

Mac felt the veins on his forehead throbbing and he glanced at the silly silver dragon. "You're a kind individual, you really need to work on your confidence. I can assure you that any person would be happy to have you as their mate".

Casey looked at Mac and took his words in happily, he turned into his small form and jumped up and down around the bed and eventually jumped straight into Mac's arms and snuggled against him.

Mac looked sadly at the dragon in his arms, it seems his innocent dragon truly only sees him as a brother and nothing more. Mac hid his eyes behind his hair and made a bitter expression. "Ahh, this probably isn't a good place for you to do that. Our dragon race doesn't use Mecha, you can study online and when you want to go into practical practice we can send you the Shera capital. If you want to that is". Mac watched as Casey's head lowered further and further as he talked. Mac gave a small chuckle, "I won't leave. Maybe I can start selling handicrafts until I earn enough money to order mecha parts and have them shipped here".

"Ah you're so smart Mac! I'll have my parents help promote your designs, I'm sure you'll be able to make money fast!". Mac patted Casey's head and sat down to get back to work and avoid the messy thoughts brewing in his head.

"Shouldn't you still be in your lessons?".

Casey tilted his head 'ah I have seem to forgotten to go back after talking with dad' Casey slowly nodded his head, changed forms, and ran out of the room.

Casey made his way to his study and stood outside the door motionless 'how do I interact with Alec now? Do I mention the covenant? Does he already know about it?'.

Casey's mind was spinning in chaos and he sighed softly, as he reached his hand to the door handle the door was pulled open from the other side. Alec looked down at Casey "not coming in? You've already been standing there for a few moments".

"How did you know I was outside?".

Two weeks of the same routine for everyone quickly passed and it was soon closing to the start of the new semester. On this morning Aki and Sitka walked over to Casey's room and knocked lightly on the door.

Mac opened the door "do you all need Casey?".

"Yes, can you step out for a moment? We'd like to talk with him alone for a bit".

Casey was sitting on the couch finishing the previous day's homework and looked over as his parents walked in. The two elders sat down in front of Casey " Casey we think we're ready to let you go see Morrison".

Casey sat upright at Aki's words. "You have to take these with you though".

Sitka placed three devices on the table; two bracelets, and an earring.

"The earring will see, hear and record everything you experience. One bracelet can open a protective shield in case you are physically attacked and the other bracelet can block one spiritual power attack of rank s or lower. These should be able to stall enough time for you to get some information on Morrison's location".

"I understand!". Casey was ecstatic and he put all the devices on.

"Umm, my ears don't seem to be pierced?". Sitka smiled and held the earring in his hand and heated it up before stabbing it into Casey's ear. "Ah!".

Casey was completely unprepared, his eyes teared up and he tried to use his healing on his ear to heal the piercing. Casey resentfully stared at his father and pouted his lips. Sitka lightly patted his hand, " that's everything, you can go. But remember not to stay for too long, try to talk to dad directly and squeeze any information possible from him".

Casey smiled at his parents "I'll be back soon!".

The next moment the space where Casey sat was empty, Aki and Sitka sighed and held each other waiting in place for their cub to return.

"Morrison!".

Casey once again appeared right before Morrison's face and immediately used his healing ability on him.

"Why are you back again? I told you to leave, it's not safe for you here".

"I came to pry information out of you, who holds you here?".

Morrison stared at Casey and felt his heart ache "I'm not capable of saying it, Casey".

"Why not?".

Morrison opened his mouth and looked as though he was struggling to speak, at that moment the door of the room opened. Two people walked in one was the lab coat man (Niel) and an older scary-looking man behind him.

"You ask why? Because I've left my spiritual power over him so he literally cannot divulge any information regarding me or this place".

The lab coat man showed Casey a wide grin. "Welcome back Casey, I'm happy to see you".

Casey didn't want to leave without receiving any information so he stared at the two people warily. "Who are you?".

"Me?". Niel pointed a finger at his chest and spoke softly "I'm Niel, and I'm going to be your mate". Casey's eyes widened at his absurd and curt words. Casey planned to teleport back but Niel struck faster, he tossed a device right toward Casey. His shield activated and threw that device away. "Ah seems you came prepared, grandfather why don't you take this over?".

The old man grabbed the device lying in Niel's palm and attached it to his temple.

"Casey come with us". A wave of spiritual power struck Casey, the other bracelet tried to activate but was immediately short-circuited by the overwhelming spiritual strength.

When the voice reached Casey's ears his whole body froze and seemed to be resisting the command. The old man smirked 'this kid is very strong'.

The old man use his spiritual power to the max and spoke again. "Close your eyes and walk to us". Casey took several stiff steps forward, Morrison's eyes widened in panic and he began to thrash and move to stop Casey. Niel had already anticipated his interruption and threw a restraining ring at him to keep him quiet and immobile. Morrison watch helplessly as Casey walked into Niel's arms and was carried away.

Niel didn't dare relax his guard, he knew Casey's power was strong and wasn't too sure how long his grandfather could keep control over him.

"Casey, do everything Niel tells you to do". The old man left that command and patted Niel on the shoulder "complete the bonding quickly, you won't have another chance if this fails". Niel already knew without being told but still obediently nodded his head.

When Casey came back to himself he felt immense pain all over his body and looked up to see Niel hovering over him. As Casey felt his body rocking he slowly realized that something was very wrong. Casey glanced down and saw that Niel's thing was actually inside him!
