A Christian life style

My family brought me up at church which means I have no excuse for the moral values I have. if I am honest I was bored in church because when they teach a child they teach them sugar coated rubbish which removes the essence, this in turn when I realised this made me not trust the church, so now I am a Christian who doesn't like the church. At church when they read passages they directly relate the positives or negatives to get emotions, I remember 2 specific occasions which made my opinion of church gospel bad.

The first one is a psalm I am not sure which one it was but believe it or not the psalm was describing self harm and pain. The way the church related it to the group of adults was as gods sacrifice and Jesus self harm, when asking the minister at the end if what I thought was correct he confirmed. The psalm was talking about self harm and making it open as an important topic to tackle in the Christian world however it was "inappropriate to teach" the real meaning instead change it to make the general population happy. Being somewhat religious I was appalled, firstly because this was an important topic and secondly because this is the church manipulating the religion to support their beliefs. Judge what I wrote as you may but I would like to point out that this is very similar to the works of cults and extremists manipulating scripture, news and people. If you believe this is singled out to this church you are mistaken, for this is a church organisation I.e. they work in many church's teaching the same type of information and have quite a few so called church seeds throughout the world.

The second is how they treat the rich, if you are Christian you will come across the idea of a tithe "one tenth of annual produce or earnings, formerly taken as a tax for the support of the Church and clergy." (from google). In the church that I went to there were a so called super group in which those whose tithes were over a certain figure would be able to adjust the way the church would aim. And any of their children would reserve lesser punishments or would not be blamed. Before an event that affected my family took place we were one of these people. Anything I did in the church at Sunday school or shouting etc would be fine and it felt as if one of the group leaders would be told about me before the Sunday school and whatever happened they would step in. Due to me feeling emotionally traumatised from the damage I put onto my sisters I was very aggressive and every fight I was covered for and often the other person would end up being punished. One of my favourite examples is there was a private party with alcohol and extra that only that group could go to in the church. Others who stumbled into the interior would be told that a private meeting was happening between the top brass. For a non-profit organisation that is supposed to support charity they enjoyed the luxury. I believe someone here would believe they were only doing this to make sure these people stayed to continue funding the church, now to those people I respond preferential treatment makes sense up to complete bias where they hide the problems these children cause and sometimes parents, one of them broke a car the church talked to the person not to press charges and to pray and use religion as a guise.

This is not to say I don't believe in god, this is to say I believe in god however do not trust the church nor would want to stand for it.
