When We Collided!

"Drake was never your competition Matt. You were different from others which got me attracted. Didn't you notice, how I fell for your immature and imperfect soul slowly and perfectly? " I said in a calm tone. I understood his insecurities and so did he. . . . Can they find the love they seek? . . . Note: This is a fictional story and all the characters are creatively designed by me.

2~ Who is he?

"Wow, this is amazing - the lights and stage are perfect, " I said as I entered.

It was a circular auditorium, which could take in about 5000 students. The stage was at the centre. Since I was just practising, not many lights could be turned on; but it was okay.

A beautiful hexagonal pattern was made on the ceiling of the auditorium. I gazed at it for a long time.

I increased my phone volume to the maximum and placed it at the corner of the stage. "Champagne Problems," one of my personal favourites of Taylor swift had begun to play. There was no one except me.

Thereupon stepping on the stage, I started with my basic contemporary workout ritual - head stretch, lounges, squats, laterals and balancing on toes. I did this nearly daily for more flexibility. Also, this form of art inspired me the most as it reflects the sentiments of people through leg and hand movements. I am a dancer who didn't care about the world when my beat was being played. Dancing had always been fulfilling.

After the warm-up, I practised a few techniques like spiralling to the ground; star-baby to the sides; leg swings and butt spin. I used to love the leg twirl which ballerinas do, in which you lift your right leg and tilt it rightwards folding it; spreading your arms and swirling it in a way, where one time you open the leg and the other time you close while swivelling your body. I did that too. I then finished off with a full split.

"Hey, you are amazing, " said a voice clapping from the last row of the auditorium.

I abruptly became alert; stood up and took a moment to see who it was. There occurred too much light from the corner from where the voice came from.

"Matt! Miss Louisiana is asking for you," said another voice from behind the stage. "Yes coming, just a minute, " said the voice who was probably Matt.

It was 1:15 pm already; I had to go for lunch, so I took my phone and was about to leave the stage when a voice caught my attention. "Hey, I'm Cole Matthew; you can call me Matt and You are ?"

I turned around and saw a boy with dark black hair, somewhat of my height, wearing a long deep yellow sweatshirt with brown shorts. He had circular-shaped spectacles and dark brown coloured eyeballs.

"Hi, I'm Vincet grace; you can call me Grace, " I said shyly. We shook hands. "You are so good at dancing !" he said. "Thank you, " I answered back gratefully.

"Which department are you in? I haven't seen you here before, " he asked curiously. "I'm a fresher from the medical department, " I said. He simply nodded.

He then looked in his watch and ran towards the auditorium front door and said, " See you around !"

I walked slowly towards the exit; I was happier as someone praised me after a long time and at the same time I wondered who this mystery guy was? How come he saw me dancing? (when most students are unpacking their stuff on their first day)

Usually, I didn't like people seeing me dance while I'm rehearsing but this time I don't know why this stranger seemed comforting; maybe because he was of my age or was he older than me? He didn't even tell me which department he was from?

What did he mean when he said - see you around? I thought to myself.

He was so cool, without any worry on his face compared to most amateurs who joined their universities. So he would not be a fresher I presumed(the doubt was still there).

Therefore who is he?
