Chapter 1:Counting the Doomsday
It was a warm summer day in the Felice Kingdom and the royals were enjoying their lovely day as they usually do.As they were enjoying their lovely day they weren't expecting it to end in such a nightmare.
"Y-your majesty" a knight came in such a hurry and bowed with trembling body
"What's wrong"ask by king Richard ,the queen and crown prince were anxious while the princess gave a serious glare
" S-someone from the empire came,the ministers and sir Noel are discussing with the guest" he said with such fear that made the king shocked
Xaverion Empire, the empire which is near the Sylvester empire and the felice kingdom was the borderline of these two great nations
A few years later it was known that the 3rd prince usurp the throne and was now seizing every country which was near their lands, the empire was also aware about his conquest however they still haven't declared war for they were aiming for peace.
"Inform the Two pillars of the kingdom tell them to hurry and meet me" he said while the knight bowed
"yes your majesty" he replied while the king was lost in thought and was dizzy
"Richard!" the queen hurriedly hold his shoulder and the crown prince help her so the king can sat down
"Father are you alright" ask by Roland the crown prince
"im fine im sorry for worrying you darling" he said and holds his wife's hand
"it seems like this day has come" he sigh the king knew that someday their kingdom will be at war with the Xaverion empire knowing that their country was the key to expand their territory near the Sylvester empire
"I'll come with you to meet the guest father" he said and the king just nods
"Ria you should help your father too" the queen glared at her daughter who was sipping her tea
"Mom its not like were been attack already and dad was also expecting this from the start" she replied making her mother angry
"you little brat"the queen came near her and flick her forehead
"ouch that hurts" she said and gave a sweet smile then she hugs the waist of her mother
"Don't worry I won't let our kingdom be in danger" she sweetly said and her mother hug her back with a warm smile
"You really know how to ease your mother" the king smiled
"Father you should head to the main palace already before something happens at the guest brother you too should better keep your self cool" she said and stare at her brother
"i won't cause trouble so don't worry" he said and the king stand
"we'll be going then darling see you later, Astria accompany your mother and continue your tea time" he said and came near his wife and gave a kiss in her forehead
"everything will be alright dear" the queen comforted him "I hope so" he replied "lets go roland" he said
"See you later mother, ria" he said and followed his father
They were already prepared for the worst case scenario and today was the beginning of their doomsday
The king and crown prince left while the queen just sigh
"why would a young man wants to expand his territory, was his life so bad that he wants to seize more power?" the queen ask and ria just stare at her mother, she was calm since she had plans to negotiate with the empire but she was also afraid if it will fail.
"Well the empire is entirely different from a kingdom mother so his life must no be easy and there's nothing much we can do, the emperor had been to wars many times and mostly won all of his battles while our kingdom never really experience joining in battlefield for a decades,our knights and soldiers only fights monsters and wild animals so we can't guarantee victory" she said and her mother sigh again
"that's a splendid explanation ria good enough to make my heart sink" she said so ria smiled
"mom don't worry too much it will be bad for your health and i was only saying facts but i didn't say our kingdom will be destroyed and you know best we won't let it happen" she sweet talk her mother, she doesn't want her to worry too much because she was a fragile lady and was mostly bed ridden after she gave birth to ria
"and that's why im more worried for you i don't know what's in your small mind and what kind of plan you wanted to do, you were always reckless and that's worrisome astria" she said and ria just sigh
"im sorry if i make you worry too much mother but I won't put myself in trouble so that you'll be ease" she said and the queen just smiled
"hmm i can't say I'll believe it but you better be careful from your decision my child and don't put yourself in danger" she said and ria just giggles
"of course mother" she said
Meanwhile the king and crown prince went to the main palace to meet their guest, the large palace door opens and their arrival was announced
"King Richard and Crown Prince Roland has arrived" they walk in and sat at their thrones, at their front they were 6 people standing in each side
The kings aide, two ministers and the crown prince aide and from the left side was the two guest
"greetings your majesties" they bowed "What might be the reason for the visits of the knights of the empire" he ask the two men wanted to confirm if it's about a declaration of war
"It may be late but this is the message that his majesty wanted to convey for the king of this kingdom" a tanned men said and gave a folded piece of paper to the king, the aide took it and deliver it to king Richard
He opened it and read the message, the king was shock, in the letter the emperor mentioned of visiting the kingdom before declaring war it was unbelievable, was he belittling the kingdom that's why he would visit and then conquer it, the king was puzzled and was afraid that can cause fights between the nobles of the kingdom and the empire but it was an opportunity for he wanted to negotiate with him
"The moment you read the letter his majesty must be near already it wouldn't be a surprise if he arrives in the next few days" the other Knight said
"How dare you speak and shows disrespect to the king" one of the ministers shouted seeing that these two men shows no respect at all
"count" the king spoke and the count just shut his mouth
"i see then we'll prepare a palace for his majesty to stay" he said
"Then we'll take our leave your highness" he said and they slightly bowed
When the door was shut their mouths went berserk
"people from the empire are very rude and arrogant how can they be disrespectful" one of the ministers
"they're from the empire that's why they are arrogant" the crown prince spoke
'your majesty we should prepare our men to fight against them" the other one spoke
"and what made you think that we'll win if we fight the emperor" the king ask and they became quiet
"Your all aware how the emperor rose from the throne and yet you want to face and fight him that is a stupid idea marquis, we must obey what they want in order for us to prevent a tragedy" king Richard
"i already sent a message for the Sylvester empire but their response might be the same as your plan your highness" the kings aide
"we don't have a choice even our empire is afraid of emperor Lucius what can a mere kingdom like us do" king Richard
"even so your majesty our kingdom has Great value and our land is very peaceful and it prosper for decades" the kings aide
"were also one of the biggest supplier in our empire so how can the empire just sit back and watch the kingdom'd downfall"
"our country is not just a mere kingdom father we can't let the Xaverion empire destroy our home and even if it means assassinating the emperor i will voluntarily do so" crown prince
"enough all of you, we will wait for their visits here so go and prepare the sun palace for the emperor noel take charge of this task and make sure that place is cleaned well as for the rest you may leave i must speak with the two lords for our plan" king
"yes your highness' they bowed and left "roland you can leave as well and guard your sister she must be thinking some ways as well to prevent our kingdom going war and she plans differently than us" he said
"true but she'll be just fine father i would like to stay here and listen to your plan as well" he replied so the king sigh

'you Don't have to worry about her,her plan might be even effective than ours considering the things she had done for this kingdom father' Roland thought
