Synopsis

The story is set in the winter of 1994, in the province of Kizunoshi in Hokkaido Prefecture. There was a boy named Takagi Kuni who studied in the third year of the junior high in the local school of the town. Disaster struck after one day, when he returned from his school ought to find out that his father and sister died on the way home from a long journey. Then after a month when he returned to his school, still with a broken heart from the shock of losing his beloved family, he noticed a new transfer student joining in the same exact class of his own. After asking some of his classmates and his best friend Yamato Moritaka, he found out that her name is Kinoshita Jasmine and she’s from Tokyo. After sitting in his bench, the new girl came in right after that and started introducing herself to the whole class. She was a cheerful, fair skinned girl and her smile literally showered the class with visible brightness of happiness as described by Kuni. But as she was introducing herself, she gave a straight innocent look at Kuni with a smile on her face and at the same moment Kuni realized at an instant after looking out of the window that the snow started falling at the same time as she started gazing on him. Unbeknownst to him, life as he knew, Kuni, was just beginning to alter and therefore he had no idea what was about to set on, on that fateful day, when the snow started falling.
