61 Money Problems - 60

It's been a week since we came back from the island.

And it's been pretty chill. It really was just a time skip period in the novel.

I just followed the schedule, going to classes, and teaching classes.

We had come back on an "A" week, so, I still hadn't attended my more advanced classes yet.

But now that a "B" week was starting, I was finally going to be able to take classes with my seniors.

And it was going to be fun.

But, that wasn't going to start until tomorrow, so here I was, just sitting in my room this morning, thinking about what I was going to do.

'Ah, I guess it's time to kick start the next plan.'

Getting up off the couch that I had been lazing around on, I started to quickly dress for the outside world.

You see, I was going to find a source of income today.

"Why?" Well, even though I was getting 500,000 Lams each month from the Empress, something was made apparent from the amount of money left in my bank account now.

A measly 30,000 Lams.

And this was with two weeks on an island where I didn't spend any money.

Now, you might be wondering where all my money had gone...

...

Okay, I'm a heavy spender.

What? I like to live my life comfortably. And it's not like you guys can do anything about it.

That's why I had a stable job in the first place back on my version of Earth.

I liked living comfortably, if you don't like it, well, it's not my problem. *shrugging my shoulders*

So, that was why I needed to earn money, fast.

There was also the problem of my next plan needing a lot of money to kickstart it, so yeah, I needed more money.

Now, for how I was going to get this money.

I immediately threw stocks out of the window, as I had changed the future too much, and now I wasn't able to predict what the economic atmosphere would look like, so, it would just be a waste of time and money.

Another option I threw out was developing a game or a company or something, as most of the stuff back in my old world existed here, with much better versions after 200 years of progress.

So, that was another no go.

Then, there was something like investing in an invention, or creating something new entirely with my knowledge, but, most of what was going to blow up in the future was going to be invented by Primrose, and I didn't want to steal the limelight from her.

I don't care if I'm acting like a simp, I've already accepted that fact. I'M A HUGE PRIMROSE SIMP, DEAL WITH IT!

I could, however, invest in an invention that I knew was going to blow up, but, this method had already been used in so many other novels that I just didn't want to use it. (A/N: The author approves! Of course, it definitely wasn't just my idea that I projected on this MC...)

The last option I rejected was hunting for monster cores, as I was just too lazy to do this type of work, and there was never a guarantee that a monster would have a core anyways. Even the (D+) ranked thunderbird didn't drop a core. It was just too risky.

So, the question now was, "How the heck do I earn money?"

I had racked my brain over this for a long time.

And I finally found an option.

What if... I just simped Elvira for money?!!!!!

After all, she was a princess, so she was probably swimming in Lams!

It would be so easy to just ask her for money.

But nah, I'm just kidding, why would I ask my girlfriend for money if her mom was already supplying me money? That'd just look weird.

My real strategy for earning money was going to be this:

I was going to pay someone to pay someone to pay someone to pay someone to do all of these things!

Genius right?

Nah, once again, I'm just kidding.

Even if I wanted to do this, I just didn't have enough money to pay down a chain of that many people.

And also, it would just be a maintenance hassle.

So, now that I've psyched y'all twice, lemme tell you the real way I was going to earn money.

I was going to...

Write a novel!

Yep! A webnovel to be exact.

After all, these days, in this world, popular webnovelists earned millions of Lams for each chapter they published, the craze around them was just fanatical.

Even I was surprised when I first learned that webnovels were that popular here, as it was never stated in the actual novel.

Well, anyways, I left my dorm and took a train to Cavil.

After arriving, I entered the closet internet cafe to the train station.

You might be wondering, "Why the hell can't he just write webnovels from his dorm?"

Well, it was due to how fanatical fans got, to the point of creating cults and sometimes harming the authors if they didn't update once or twice daily.

For the authors, it was almost like being in a torture chamber just to write webnovels, as many writers were sent death threats for forgetting to upload for just one day.

(A/N: Hmm... Definitely, yes definitely am not relating... There's nothing to see here, just continue reading! *me looking around nervously*)

And, even if they moved houses to escape this, just the sheer number of fanatical hackers and private detectives that read their novels would make this move obsolete.

It was a scary world out there.

That was why, I was literally going to write my novel in another city, Cavil, which was extremely far away from the L.

Powering up the high tech PC, I signed in with a guest account before starting to write.

Spending the whole day writing, I was able to get in 10 chapters, and mass released them all that evening.

(A/N: Why the fuck aren't you stockpiling?!! Also, this is so unrealistic, no author can do that, I'm dropping this novel.)

And, the next day, when I was checking the stats of my novel from a reader's account in my dorm room, I couldn't help but widen my eyes in shock!

'Wow, it blew up!!!!!!'

(A/N: A pipe dream for me, yes I know.)

Seeing the 3 mil views on the novel, and how the views were actual viewers, instead of just bots like a certain platform that I had read on back on my version of Earth, I couldn't help but smile widely.

And, looking at how I had already gotten a contract offer, I could only think about how much money I was going to earn in the future.

And also, I was thinking about how Marabelle was totally gonna call me out for this.

After all, I had written a novel about an author that had descended into his own novel.

Yep, definitely didn't steal the plot line from a webnovel in my original world.

I definitely didn't...
