"Feeling better?", Dan asked.
" Fit as a fiddle now.", Kanibora replied.
" You healed surprisingly fast this time. Last time it took you almost a night!", Dan was astonished.
" After the last event, I can feel that my powers have grown.",she said.
" You're powers have grown but you passed out?",He just couldn't match the dots.
" That's what I'm wondering about too. By the way, how's your wound?", Kanibora moved closer to check his wound. But Dan went further away from her.
" Ummm.... It's fine. It'll be okay in a few days.", Dan hesitated.
" Why don't you let me check it then?"
" It's no big deal. No need to check it.", He went further away from her.
Kanibora went there and grabbed Dan to prevent him from moving away.
" Stop moving or else it will hurt more.", She said. She took off the cloth from the wound, checking it's ins and outs.
" And you say it'll heal in a couple of days?It won't! On the contrary, you'll get an infection and will need to chop off your arm." She lost her patience," ARE YOU CRAZY?!?"
Dan said nothing. Kanibora knew this time she could heal him. She put her hand on his shoulder and said," Bear it for a moment. It'll hurt. If you can't, just count one to ten."
She put her fingers into his flesh. To heal a interior wound completely, she needed to heal it from the inside.
" Errggg...Aaaahhh," It caused him much pain.
Kanibora quickly started the healing process. Soon new flesh started to grow at the wounded part and was completely healed.
Danachi was panting. Kanibora asked him, "Are you alright? How are you feeling now ? Is the pain gone?"
Dan took a moment to calm himself down and then said," It's gone now."
He moved closer to Kanibora and hugged her," It's great that we both survived. Thank you, Bora ."
" Hey, hey, it's fine. No big deal . Why are you being like this?", Kanibora wanted to break free. He let her go but then he noticed something under her ear.
" What happened here?", Dan point at the scar.
" Where?" ,Kanibora put her hand on her neck and tried to figure out what it was.
" It's a brownish scar.", Dan said." It's bigger under your ear and really thin while going down you neck."
" Oh! Must've been the beast. It hit me there.", Kani replied casually.
" Doesn't it hurt?", Dan asked. He was worried it would cause the same pain to her like her ankle.
" Surprisingly it doesn't. My ankle doesn't hurt too. Perhaps they're connected to it's power. The more it wants them to hurt, the more they hurt. But now I don't feel anything.", She had almost forgotten about it.
" That's a relief then."Dan leaned on the wall of the cave. He had to bear a lot today. He seemed tired.
" Dan, when the sun comes up tomorrow, go back to Tahaku. I need to take care of a few things here. Don't come back until it's really important. If I need you, I'll go there myself.", Kanibora told him.
" And do I need to listen?" ,Dan raised his eyebrows.," Told you before I'm not leaving you alone. After today's event, it's even more dangerous.", Dan refused.
" Exactly the reason why I'm asking you to leave. Because it's dangerous. As for me, you saw back there what I was capable of. I could take two or three of them myself now.",Kani tried to persuade him.
Dan realized that this time it was true. Kanibora's magic was stronger now and that she didn't need his help. But he didn't want to leave her.
" But the fishes are still here in Tirana aren't they? What am I suppose to do when I go back?" He just wanted to make up something.
His actions made Kanibora laugh. " You really are something. ",She smiled,"Come with me."
She left the cave and went to the end of the water fall. Danachi followed her. She sat there and pulled out a part of water in her hands. She turned to Danachi," What do you see?"
The moonlight had fallen on the water. It was crystal clear. The blue shade that they saw in Ayas' water was not here.
"That thing that you called 'Mana' isn't in the water here." ,Danachi replied.
" Right. That's why the fishes had come here. To survive. ", Kanibora said.
She put her hand into the water and casted her spell. The water started to glow. It was glowing before from the moonlight reflecting on it but now it started to emit a golden-ish glow. The whole river started glowing, to where the eyes went.
Once again Danachi stood there dumbfounded, only getting sucked into the view. The light from the river was refecting on her face and her hair. It was like the light was emitting from Kanibora herself.
After a while, she finished reviving the river.
"There's no mana left there now.", She said," Tomorrow Aya will be as replenished as before."
"So...... that means I really need to go back, huh?" Danachi said staring at the ground.
Kanibora too, felt sad. " Just go to sleep for now.",she said. Without saying anything, Danachi went back in the cave.
In the morning when he woke up, he saw Kanibora was just sitting there staring at him.
" You're up?", She said," Did you sleep well?"
" Just so-so.", He answered while rubbing his face.
Kanibora had gathered some fruits. She gave them to Danachi," Eat them. You must be hungry."
Danachi took them and started eating. After he finished eating Kanibora said,"Get up, I'll send you home."
" So you're coming with me?!!", Dan's face brightened up.
Kanibora didn't reply. "Let's just go.", She said.
After they got out of the cave Kani held Dan's hand and they both vanished. The next moment Dan realized that they were infront of the village. His heart sank. He thought he would spend a little more time with her.
" When's the next time I'll see you again?" Danachi looked despondent.
"Soon." ,Kanibora replied before she vanished into thin air.
"*Sigh*.......looks like I'll need to stay by myself for the time being.", Danachi told himself.
After going back to Tirana, Kanibora re-established the shield, much stronger than last time, so that no other evil beings can bring harm again. Then she went to her regular job and that was to see what was going around. Everything seemed normal. All the animals were hunting, eating, living freely. Then she spotted the place where they had left the beast.
It wasn't there.
