1 Volume 1 - Chapter 1: From Roleplay To Isekai

Where is this?

When I opened my eyes, an unrealistic and unfamiliar scenery met my eyes.

Location, a forest?

Looking at my surroundings closely, I seem to be in a rather dim forest...

The smell of leaves and trees could be sensed around me. It was pleasant yet suspicious.

I calmly analyzed the surroundings.

Just a couple of minutes ago, I was eating cup noodles in my room while leaving my phone open in my Roleplay Group Chat. Then my phone's screen erupted in a display of bright blinding light.

What's the reason for this? How did this happen? Rather, how?

"So this is the famous reincarnated to another world. But as I recall, I did not die at all. So perhaps this was summoning?"

As I have said that, a sudden voice echoed in my head. Which I faced.

"Another world, a world I've created with my dreams."

My head was suddenly forced to feel searing pain as information... No... Memories began to load themselves into my brain. The memories of someone else, Clodwal Okamura began to enter my hippocampus. I am the eldest son of Azathoth and the only God Of Sealing in existence. His experience, knowledge, and memories converged with mine who was a highschool student in the previous world. It did not cause confliction of ideals for he was me but I still felt a fair bit of disorientation

"...I have successfully retrieved my memories now. Though I must say, that was not a very pleasant and welcoming experience..."

𝖠𝗓𝖺𝗍𝗁𝗈𝗍𝗁: "Excellent. Then I assume you already know who I am, I am Azathoth, your father, if you don't believe me, try checking your status."

"I am fully aware you are not lying, but as I am curious about this other world myself, 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴..."

In response to mentioning the word 'Status', a bluish-white screen mysteriously emerged in front of me. Although this is my first time seeing this, it didn't feel too surprising for some reason. The status was the size of a chopping board that we used at the kitchen in my previous world. Except it was transparent, blue and had the following texts engraved on it:

Clodwal: (...It was the same as before. Except my sealing skill was missing. I find that strange but I can manage without it. Seeing as it was removed, father may have a valuable reason that I have no need to ask about.)

After a moment of remembering that I was in this new body, I quickly assessed my current body's state and tried to move my body by open and closing my fists and performing a little radio calisthenics. There seemed to be no problem. In fact, I feel no muscle pains that I regularly felt in my previous body.

Clodwal: (Body status confirmed as good... Back to the matter at hand. Did he come to this world as well? No... I presume he's the cause of this situation himself by the way he spoke.)

Azathoth: "You must be thinking right now that I'm the culprit of this sudden summoning."

Clodwal: "...Precisely."

Azathoth: "Very well, I shall explain."

Eager to gain more information I listened carefully to his explanation. His voice remained at the tone of tranquility.

Azathoth: "As a start, let me explain who I truly am. I am Azathoth, the creator of all that is in existence and are not. For the sake of amusement, long have I sent a vessel of mine to your world to watch more of what unveils in a human's life within it's body's reaches. Flabbergasted I truly am after I finally reached an era that had thought of creating stories that depicted the existence of other worlds. The idea of a person being sent to another world greatly intrigued me, which led me to send a certain group of people that I know in that era to this world."

So because he thought it was a good idea to send people to other worlds, he sent me here along with the other roleplayers.

He has always been like that since the day I met him.

After that explanation half the part of myself made me worry about my family and friends in the previous world if they were fine. But at the same time, I hid the fact that I felt thrills and ideas of going out into the world and going on adventures without anyone stopping me.

Clodwal: "About my skills, teach me how to use them in this world..."

Azathoth: "It's easy. You can imagine, right? Just say the skill's name and think what it will do like how you use them in our RPGC."

Hearing that explanation I immediately wanted to test that out. I was refraining from doing so but the idea of being attacked by a dangerous creature without knowing how to defend myself struck me. And so, I reached out my arm and pointed my hand at a nearby boulder while imagining a line of intensely scorching flames manifesting in it's way.

Clodwal: "[𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯]..."

Using the words as activation, the surroundings became slightly hotter and a sudden outburst of flames appeared in the direction my hands was facing, burning the boulder's front. It left a hot crevice in the spot after it had finished with the flames scattering to oblivion.

Clodwal: "I see..."

Azathoth: "That will be all I will say to you, I'll be watching you my dear 𝘴𝘰𝘯. I expect you'll be as interesting as I am expecting you to be."

I made a slight smile after he bid his farewell, I'll make sure to give him a good show as gratitude for bringing me to this world. Afterall, I was not at all against it.

After finishing the talk with Azathoth I proceeded in finding a place to stay in, I walked in the forest looking for a human settlement. I could have used my [𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘰𝘥'𝘴 𝘌𝘺𝘦𝘴] to find the exact coordinates quickly but wasn't able to use it. I wasn't able to activate it even when I called out it's name, it had the power to give me omnisight or in other terms "able to see everything". However, it didn't seem to react no matter what I tried. So I gave up for now, perhaps there was something missing. But in the worst case I will never be able to use it due to it's ridiculous unexplainable power to allow me to see everything.

I've been walking for hours in this seemingly endless forest and didn't even notice that fact as my stamina didn't seem to be showing any signs of decreasing.

This world really was new to me. Even as a child, I have never seen such a gigantic forest before with only trees and wild plants, coupled with magical creatures I have only seen in anime; slimes, horned rabbits, moving plants and even some goblins and kobolds. The kobolds in this world had the heads of a dog or wolf with the body structure of a rather furry human. While the goblins strongly reminded me of the ones in "Goblin Slayer" with their green skin, small stature, and absolutely devilish looks. Speaking of Goblin Slayer, was he also sent to this world? That much, perhaps is obvious. He is also a roleplayer afterall.

𝙆𝙞𝙠𝙞 !!

A sudden sound of rustling leaves and voices on my left entered my hearing. I looked for the source of the sounds and approached that said source silently with great caution behind a bush.

"N-No! Don't come any closer!

Clodwal: "-!?"

I looked and observed through the bushes, the sounds seemed to be coming from an injured woman and 9 green humanoid creatures the size of a child wearing leather hide around their lower body to hide their private parts. This is the first time I'm seeing a human from this world, as expected, her clothes looked like out of the medieval period from Europe. And those are...

Clodwal: (Goblins..?)

𝙏𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 !!

While watching the event unfolding before my eyes, my body suddenly moved on it's own volition. My head's position was jerked backwards. Something narrow and obviously harmful passed by, I looked at that said projectile which hit a tree and it seemed to be an arrow with a strange blue liquid dripping evidently from it's tip. Indeed, an arrow used to kill. Not the toy ones I often see on Earth.

I swiftly turned my head to face my right side and saw a goblin located on top of a tall tree's branch holding a loaded short bow which was pointed at me. It prepared for it's next attack from a long distance.

Clodwal: (This might be a good chance to test out my strength during a real time combat...)

I picked up a nearby stone and my body reacted and dodged once again by doing a sidestep to the arrow the goblin shot at me, and as retaliation, I threw the stone at it's direction with all my might.

𝙆𝙞𝙠𝙞 !?

The goblin made it's last words. The moment I threw the stone it suddenly disappeared out of sight. The pressure from my action triggered the law of equilibrium, creating a large shockwave in the direction I threw it in and devastating a big part of the forest. The scenery seemed as if it was hit by a hurricane, no, even worse than that. There was no sign of the bow goblin in sight, actually any sign of life in that area was nowhere to be seen. A few moments later I felt as if something was staring at me and looked from behind.

Clodwal: "I've been compromised..."

The woman and the 9 goblins were watching me all along after the bow goblin's surprise attack with dumbfounded expressions. The goblins screeched and retreated back to the deep forest a few moments after they realized I saw them. They must have been terrified of what I did just now.

Now that they're gone, this girl is left.

I nonchalantly approached her and knelt on one knee to speak with her.

Clodwal: "You..."

Woman: "T-thank you for saving me!"

Clodwal: "I see no value in thanking someone who simply passed by..."

Woman: "But still, I should atleast thank you for what you did."

Clodwal: "I see no value in thanking me twice... Tell me... How is that arrow stuck in your leg..?"

The woman had an arrow painfully embedded in her leg which seemed to be the reason why she couldn't stand up and run away. I'm confused if I should be thankful for this encounter or not as it gave me a little trouble but at the same time eased my loneliness.

Woman: "It hurts and I'm slowly losing consciousness because of how much blood I lost. I think it's too late for me."

She smiled at me with a look on her face that implied that all her hope was lost while slowly losing consciousness, I felt somewhat annoyed at her current state and clicked my tongue silently, she's giving up too easily. It's pissing me off.

Suddenly, the arrow started moving on it's own and was pulling itself out of the woman's legs while at the same time her flesh started repairing itself until the wound completely closed. The woman woke up with a start after the miracle that had happened to her injury.

Woman: "W-what just happened? I was dying wasn't I?"

What I did was reverse time on her body to the time she wasn't harmed by the arrow yet using one of my skills, [𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯] which gives me full control over the concept of time.

Clodwal: "I don't need to answer that question..."

I asked her many questions to obtain information as they may be able to help me on my journey to find the other roleplayers that have been sent to this world along with me.

The questions included mostly about magic which I was very interested in.
