"Happy birthday. We've prepared a gift." Emma greeted and handed the present to the maid that was beside the old lady.

"Thank you! I appreciate you for coming to celebrate my birthday! Enjoy the celebration." The old lady said.

Hugh and his family were then led to a table close to the main table.

"Uncle Hugh. Aunt Emma. How have you been?" Veronica greeted them, sitting with them at their table, on the seat next to Lucas.

"We've been well. How are you?" Emma replied courteously. She has known about Veronica having affection for their son, Lucas. But they have also seen how Lucas just ignores her. And now, with Diana in their lives, there is simply no room for other women.

"I've been great! I'm already taking on more responsibilities in our company. Just recently I went to the convention overseas.

I actually met Lucas there too." She smiled sweetly as she mentioned Lucas's name.
