Chapter 5 - Her escape

Li Xin turned around as he heard the noise. Li Xin was coming near Ai Li's hiding spot . Just one step closer to Ai Li, she would be dead already.

Thank goodness one of the hostage at that time was making trouble by drugging himself. The hostage failed successfully killed himself.

Li Xin were at the disadvantage since he lost an evidence. At the end that hostage said before he died "You'll never find out whose behind this since I pity you I will warn you that you might get betray by someone around you in secret." Li Xin was suspicious about his words to him. Foam came out of the hostage's mouth.

Li Xin informed Bo Qin to secretly bury the body where someone wouldn't have in mind to go to or check. Ai Li was relieved that there was a distraction if not she would say goodbye to herself without getting marry yet. She literally couldn't believe that she just heard someone secret. Well, it's considered a secret since it was done privately.

As she seen his face and heard his voice Ai Li finally realized that the person she encounter at the festival, the tea shop and now at the alley was young master Zhang. Ai Li then thought it took a long time to for her to recognize him. Ai Li tried to eavesdrop what young master Zhang whispered to his bodyguard but it was in vain.

At last Ai Li decided to leave since it was already late but she didn't thought about the consequences as she was leaving . She only thought about her mother would beat her butt off since it was already past her curfew. As she was tip toeing while bending down she got caught by one of young master Zhang's guard.

She immediately start running for her life as the guard caught her red handed. The guard straight away told young master Zhang what he saw. Then young master Zhang commanded to his guard to catch her without losing her track. Ai Li almost tripped when she step on a rock. She barely successfully escape from the alley and she was almost out of breath.

Even though she got out of the alley she was still being chased by the guards. Fortunately the festival was still happening and Ai Li had an advantage to blend into the crowds. She thought she would be dead already after what happened.

She thought she lost them already but they were still chasing her. She literally had no idea how would they still kept a track of hers. Ai Li was literally bending down so she would not get caught but either way she still got caught. These guards are really something else it's like they had the eyes of the hawk.

Everyone was looking at Ai Li weirdly during time Ai Li was bending down but the people didn't really paid attention to Ai Li since they were busy spending their time on the festival. Ai Li almost turned her head to see but good thing she didn't. If she really did turned around she would be recognized. So she covered half of her face in order not to get caught.

Ai Li kept looking back to make sure the guards were not in her lead without looking in front , while she was walking. She even almost fell down on her knees. As a result she accidentally bumped into someone. She apologize with her face was facing down to the ground looked like as if she was really guilty of something.

" Xiao Ai , Why are you not looking straight." Ai Li looked up and saw young master Chen in front of her their eyes met each other.

" Xiao Ai, I believe you shouldn't be alone here and where is Rouxi ?" young master Chen added.

" I lost her in crowds ."Ai Li replied. Ai Li wasn't worried anymore about escaping since her brother Chen has met her and she was save for now. She has to be careful around young master Zhang from now on.

Ai Li looked at her tummy . Ai Li's tummy grumbled as she was hungry so they had to stop by at a wonton stall since she told young master Chen she was craving for it. While they were eating young master Chen told Ai Li that Rouxi was caught by one her guards and returned to Madame Huang . Ai Li ate 3 bowls of wontons and then she burped with a small sound.

Ai Li then asked young master Chen why he was at the festival since ,he was not the type to go to this kind of place. He went there was just to picked up Ai Li , Madame Huang requested young master Chen to looked for her since her mother knew that she would listened him.

When Ai Li was getting in the carriage she accidentally almost fell to the ground and hit her precious face. Luckily young master Chen was there to help. Both their eyes met again Ai Li saw sparkle like a whole galaxy was in young master Chen's eyes.

Suddenly Ai Li's heart was beating fast and her face blushed. Young master Chen asked why Ai Li face looked red. Ai Li didn't replied to young master Chen but instead she just covered her cheek with her hands.

Ai Li arrived at her home destination didn't knew it would be so soon she'd be home. She was quietly walking to her room without being notice. Only one more step closer just only one more step to go Ai Li would be in her room but she was interrupted by her mother.

The looked on her mother face was right by what Ai Li imagine her mother face would be. Ai Li's mother asked her to meet her at the hall but Ai Li made an excuse that she was already tired by today and she wanted to rest and sleep.

Ai Li was trying to close the her door but failed by her mother maids. Madame Huang wouldn't accept Ai Li excuse and just asked her maids to carry her to the hall since Ai Li . Ai Li always makes excuses in order to escape punishment and lectures from her mother and she most of it she did it successfully. I mean who wouldn't want to escape from it ?. Luckily it was only to hit her hands twenty times. Ai Li thought she would get five flogs. The punishment was already painful and begged mercy with puppy eyes to her mother, but then her Mother asked her to copy the rule book ten times. Well, at least the punishment was kind of light punishment since Ai Li was used to get the punishments for her doing.
