42 Even Advisors Can Hate

Li Nan flared up brightly and washed off the purple poison from the surface of his body before completely taking the poison out of his system with another technique.

Suddenly, he took a sharp turn and dodged a mace that was coming towards his head with the aim of crushing it.

He did not even bother giving a look at the Li Jing and kept going towards Wang with the highest speed he could muster.

The Draconic Ruin Sword in his hands flared up brightly once again as Li Nan sent massive amounts of spiritual energy towards the sword.

Wang sent his last fingernail towards him to slow him down to no avail before grinning at him and rushing towards the Advisor Hong as he hummed a silent and mysterious chant.

His wings flared up in purple as his skinny, sickly body plunged to Advisor Hong who already had deep internal injuries from his previous battle with Li Jing.

He didn't waste time with showy movements and simply punched Advisor Hong with his fist which was covered in deadly purple liquid.

Advisor Hong raised his arms in defense but the speedy punch pierced through them like a spear, plunging into his chest and pumping the poison right into his heart and bloodstream.

''YOU BASTARD!''

Li Nan shouted from his back as he was held back by Li Jing's attacks once again.

''You killed every single member of my family! I will avenge them even if I have to die in the progress.''

''This all started because of this bitch, didn't it? Let me see what will you do when I cut her in half!''

He finally released the built-up energy in his sword towards Li Jing.

Li Jing raised her arms up and clad them up in ice before creating an ice shield around her.

But to her surprise, broad but boney back of her brother found its place in front of her.

Wang brought his hands together with great difficulty as if he was trying to compress an entire ocean into a cup and suddenly released his hands when they just touched each other.

A purple aura rose up.

The purple aura that gave off an aura of death clashed with the golden black aura that gave off an aura of destruction.

''As if that would be enough!''

Draconic Ruins Sword's aura came victorious as the remnants of the golden black aura crashed into Wang's frail body.

Cracks appeared all around Wang's skin as he shielded Li Jing from the destructive aura.

The attack ended merely 2 seconds later but Wang's body was already ruined beyond recognition as blood covered him from head to toe.

Li Jing, who was breathing heavily from the after effects of the attack didn't even shout and hurriedly tried to stuff pills into Wang's mouth as she used her powers to cover his wounds with ice.

Nan who was watching this with deep breaths smiled victoriously and charged up his sword once again.

'Stop them from moving at all cost.' he said to Advisor Hong who had just recovered after consuming many pills.

Advisor Hong merely nodded after hearing the command coming from the Imperial Family's communication technique and got ready to stop Li Jing and Wang at all costs.

Li Yan could who was still watching everything with his remnant soul shook his head after getting rid of his shock.

'These kids have managed to live no matter how dire the situation seems to be...' he stroked his chin as he thought, 'Yeah, I am leaving.'

He decided to pay respects to his family later and went away from the battlefield, away from the Empire.

'I didn't reincarnate and re-cultivate all the way up to this point with the perfect foundation to die like this. No. Fucking. Way.'

Nobody noticed his absence as they were busy with the intense battle to the death.

Wang recovered a little just as Li Nan completed charging his weapon to its full power.

Li Jing held onto her brother and tried to get out of the way before Li Nan could fire his weapon, but she met Advisor Hong standing on her way.

''Get out of my way unless you want to become another insect under my boots!'' she shouted, trying to intimidate him.

She was bluffing as she knew she didn't have time to defeat him before Li Nan could fire his weapon.

'He seemed pretty meek earlier, this much should be enough.' she secretly nodded to herself and kept going forward without waiting for Advisor Hong's answer as she was sure of her judgment.

Only to meet his 'Dragon'.

''What is the meaning of this.'' she said as she flared her aura with anger.

''Even if I die, I can't let you get away. Not after what you have done.'' Advisor Hong said with a resolute face that didn't seem familiar to him.

''You have murdered e-''

''I do not have time for this!'' Li Jing shouted and intended to go through him as the threat of the Draconic Ruin Sword was much higher than this suicidal advisor.

''Fortunately, it's far too late for you.'' Advisor Hong smiled as he sent all of his flaming dragons to intercept her.

All the heat from the dragons vanished the instant they got close to her, but they didn't stop.

Li Jing destroyed the 'Dragons' but almost instantly, causing Advisor Hong to spit out blood on her face with a small smile.

She turned her face away to see the overwhelmingly destructive aura of the Draconic Ruin Sword gathered on top of Li Nan's exhausted and panting but still smirking face.

''As if that would be enough! Do you think you can finish us off here?! You?! Don't be ridiculous! My brother is destined for greatness! He will be the next emperor and I will be his right hand! This is just another small rock in our road! Do you understand!'' she spitted out with mad eyes.

She was about to go crazy from desperation and exhaustion. In just a few hours, she had gone through so much. Thinking her brother would die, awakening her bloodline, thinking her brother would die again!

She wasn't just full of physical exhaustion from all the battles and awakening her bloodline, but her mental state was also at the breaking point after everything she went through consecutively.

She didn't even bother creating a barrier for their protection as she saw what happened to that paper-thin barrier she created a few minutes ago. The best way to battle the aura would be to send an equally powerful aura that would disperse most of its power.

Her delicate hands danced through the air as if she was weaving thin threads.

Her brows furrowed as she struggled to realize the technique in her mind to reality.

'Diamond Dust.'

Sparkling, small, and delicate particles of white ices were realized into reality from her spiritual power.

She brought her four upper fingers together with her thumbs and slowly tried to shape the diamond dust into a sharp spear that would go through the destructive aura of the Draconic Ruin Sword.

All the while this was happening, Advisor Hong finally recovered from his injuries and saw her actions.

''Why don't you just give up already!'' he shouted with annoyance, trying to disturb her attention.

He could no longer use his famed technique, which was quite useless against her, and opted for something weaker but more practical.

A simple fireball appeared atop his hand.

The small fireball grew and grew until it looked like a miniature sun that threatened to devour Li Jing.

He willed it forward and threw it to her just as she finished making the spear.

She diverted the tiniest bit of her attention and willed a small part of the diamond dust on the spear to intercept the miniature sun.

Almost sub-zero temperature of the Diamond Dust technique met with the Miniature Sun.

Not even a second later, they both seemed to cease to exist despite Advisor Hong's incredulous eyes.
