Chapter Thirty Two. Laughter

Wo Ryung brought Alisha to the farther eastern part of the forest. He stopped by the beautiful and small waterfall that looked so inviting and tempting to the human's young heart and he could hear her heartbeat and watch her expressions as well. He could tell she was impressed and that brought a satisfied smile to his lips before too soon,it vanished replaced by a mischievous one as he watched her reactions before he put her down on her feet to stand on her own.

Alisha whom Wo Ryung just put down from their trip in the air gasped at the sight before her eyes. "This is so beautiful"she mammered softly as she walked closer to the inviting waterfall.

The surface of the water was so calm despite the large amount of water flowing into it from above the high rocks. It looked so calm and undisturbed even from where she was watching it on the other top side of the small fall giving off the slightest color of blue that was almost just like the color of her eyes. She kept going towards the edge letting herself get lost in the beauty of it that felt like a magical drug alluring her towards itself.

"Careful" she heard Wo Ryung caution and his voice startled her causing her to slip off one of the smaller slippery rocks and she gasped as her eyes widened afraid that she was going to fall.

But Wo Ryung was by her side in an instant and he wrapped his strong but gentle and tender arm around her waist before he chuckled and then he leaped off the rock elegantly falling between the two rocks and landing them both at the farther end of the calm waters. The whole thing felt like a dream to Alicia that she couldn't help wishing she could go straight into the waters.

"Can I swim in it?" she asked with a dreamy look on her face. " .... please..." she pleaded and she heard him chuckle.

"of course!" he answered with his voice full of mischief which Alicia failed to notice at first. She was so happy that he agreed and turned around to face him with a wide smile..

"Really?" she exclaimed and he just stared at her while a corner of his lips lifted in a smirk. Alisha looked at him questioningly but he didn't say anything.

"You are not scheming anything,are you?" she asked squinting her eyes.

"Am not,am I?" he asked her back with such a devious smile Alicia couldn't help gulping. "Go on..." he encouraged. "All at your service" he said and Alicia glared at him before she realized what he was saying.

"Pervert!" she retorted as she brought both her hands to cover her eyes and face away from his predatory gaze. She couldn't believe this man was being mischievous even at this time.

"What is it?" he asked suddenly sounding innocent. "Don't tell me you suddenly don't want to swim just because am here with you" he said making it sound so casual as though it was a daily occurrence.

"Let's go back. I don't want to swim anymore" exclaimed Alicia feeling her cheeks heat up and her ears redden.

"Alright. But we won't be coming here again. How unfortunate!" he mammered sounding like he was sad for her sake and Alicia couldn't believe him.

"We will come back some other time. Let us go somewhere else now" she explained and he watched her for some time before he reasoned.

"We won't be coming back here because it is too far away and the journey is quite tiresome,you know?" he explained sounding like he suddenly had two huge stones placed at his shoulders that he can't lift and Alicia was speechless!

"How shameless!" she mammered which made him look at her with a mischievous smirk.

"How?" he questioned. "Let us walk on our way back and see how long exactly we can walk back to the cave" he bargained and Alicia just gaped at him. Did he really want to make her walk all that way back when he had willingly flown her here!

"What are you thinking?" he asked sounding curious. "You don't want to go back?" He continued twisting facts and Alicia gaped at him. This man!

"Who said I don't want to go back?" she demanded but he shrugged his strong but delicate shoulders so lazily Alisha wished she could punch some sense into his head.

"Who knows? You might want to stay back and keep the waters company" he explained with a straight face. On the mention of the waters, Alicia stared at the calm surface of the water longingly and he watched her.

"Afraid of drowning to death?" he asked making it sound as though it was funny. " don't worry,I won't let that happen" he assured and she stared at him. "What again this time?" now he sounded as though he was frustrated which she knew he wasn't.

"Get in there and be careful not to slip. I will be back to see when you are done" he said before he leaped into the air leaving her down there on her own.

"Don't worry. There's no danger down there except if you get too far into the water. That won't be safe." she suddenly heard his voice speaking as though he was just there next to her when she was sure he was back at the top of the rock and she wondered whether really he could not see her even as she couldn't see him. Having gotten herself used to his being a creature of many different abilities as he was the gumiho, Alicia found him less awkward as time went by and only got surprised a bit whenever she discovered his new abilities.

She pulled her dress over her head and put it aside remaining only in her bra and under garments before she slowly walked towards the water and submerged herself into it feeling the cold sweetness of it kiss her bare skin despite the warm sun streaking down to the surface of the water from the gap between the two rocks. She made sure not to go too far stopping only where the water did not go above her waist and keeping herself at that distance paying heed to his caution to her.

Alicia was sitting under the water which now ended at her shoulders in depth as she sat when she thought she heard giggling sounds. She quickly turned alert and submerged her upper torso deeper into the water protecting her breasts from the person she thought to be Wo Ryung.

And true to herself,it was his voice and he sounded so happy as he laughed sincerely and his laughter sounded genuine, something she couldn't relate to anything she had heard from him. Wondering what could have made him so happy, Alicia scanned more because his attention wasn't directed at her

. But he wasn't alone, there was a woman with him at the far deeper end of the fall where the water fell directly. They didn't even seem to notice her as the woman smiled and threw some water at him using her Palms and he did the same as he loughed.

The woman joined him in his course of laughter before she ran and crushed into him making him hug her so protectively as though she was the most expensive treasure that he owned! Was he trying to test her or had he lured her here so that he could leave her down there to die alone with no one to help her? Alicia was still pondering on what to do when she heard his pleased voice call out the woman's name

"Alexia..." he called sounding so pleased to even be saying her name and her jaw clenched in detest.

"Wo Ryung!" Her voice thundered but he didn't seem to hear her. But within just a few seconds,he was right by her side.

"Miss me already?" he asked with clear mischief in his voice and she jumped from where she stood before she turned to glare at him but not before she saw both him and the woman vanish from the other side of the fall as they lovingly looked into each other's eyes as though they were about to kiss each other. And also there was another realization that hit her hard.

Alicia glared at the shameless man in front of her feeling agitated and an indescribable weight of betrayal in her chest. He had just apologized to her just a few minutes ago and yet now, he was already seeking out that Alexia woman! She didn't know why but her heart had suddenly started to feel a possessiveness over him over the past few days when they hadn't met. She didn't want to see him with another woman because it hurt her a lot yet she was aware they weren't into any intimate relationship with him.

"Where have you been?" she questioned him and he blankly looked at her, before a devious smile appeared on his lips.

"Possessive,huh? It seems you don't want to let me out of your sight when again you don't want me around when you are swimming. Alright with me, you might as well have discovered your mistake in sending me away and decided to call me back. Don't worry, you are already pardoned by me." he chided making his own judgement and Alicia's jaw could only drop.
